John and Leslie do an awesome job for our house. They make an very beautiful Stairs for us. They are very detail and responsible on their job. And they are very nice people. The price is reasonable! We highly recommend them.

John is true craftsman, who takes great pride in his work (and rightfully so).

For openers, Leslie and John Wilkerson (owners of Texas Wood Wrx) are an absolute pleasure to know and work with. The estimate was free and the choices many. Decisions were reached promptly by phone or email. They expertly guided us through the entire process with exceptional results.
After several visits to our home, we made our decisions, signed a contract, and the job was scheduled for 8-10 weeks out. The job started on time and took about a week to complete. As the owners/workers (family business), Leslie and John arrived promptly each work day until the job was finished . The house was fully protected from dust and debris They did all the staining, repair, and painting required. The pace of job completion was great as was the conversation. They did one h*** of a job which I would show to anyone anytime.
The staircase components used are extremely high quality and the workmanship impeccable. I would hire them again and happily provide references. I give them the highest recommendation possible.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome job! Most professional group of contractors I've ever experienced. I now understand why they are so booked. We had to wait about 2 months before they could get to our home due to their high demand, but after seeing the results, combined with price and their overall professionalism, the wait was well worth it! Never let some trim carpenter "take a swing at it" when it comes to your stairs. Call Leslie and be patient, you will love the results! When they sent us their proposal, it was the first real "Statement of work" in a bid I'd ever seen from a residential contractor. They sent the proposal, along with photo examples of the newel posts, balusters and handrails discussed and included in the proposal. Everything was up front and they provided all materials and work exactly as proposed. Attached are photos of their work and a copy of their bid proposal, if you are wondering what a proper "Scope of Work" should look like. I just wish all contractors were as great as Leslie and Texas Woodwrx. Thank you so much, Leslie! I love my stairs!

Leslie came out on a Sunday and measured/provided opinion on tread and design ideas. My husband is big DIYer but new staircase is complex job and we had code and material concerns. She gave us fantastic advice, a really fair price and her detail oriented husband John did some beautiful work. They used materials that we couldn't have found. Even if we did--I doubt some mill would have sold to homeowners. The experience was the best we've had with a service provider in S.A. We have had some LOUSY Angie's List and quot;top rated companiesand quot; put new gutters on, do landscaping and plumbing work on our house. I couldn't locate anyone on Angie's List for our stairs. We found Texas Woodwrx and quot;on the weband quot; and they had one review on Angie's List. My husband and I still can't believe our good fortune. FINALLY a great pair of people doing REALLY high quality work and THEY only had one review on here in June of 2013!! John approached our stairs with the same level of detail and concern that my husband does when he works on our house. Sadly, that has NOT been the case with other companies we unfortunately contracted with for our house.

We'd already paid another company to install hardwood flooring upstairs when we met with Leslie. I wish we hadn't. Not only was Leslie's sq. ft. price lower---we have no doubt that John would have done a better job. He does beautiful, precision work.

I can't recommend Leslie and John enough, they did an all around excellent job. Aside from them being great people, they did great educating me on building codes and pointing out safety hazards with my current staircase. They kept me informed every step of the way and the end result was beyond what I had expected, the new staircase transformed my house. Will recommended them in the future for sure. Thanks guys!
