Tadd Chapman

It was a complete failure and a total rip-off. It was an extremely costly, frustrating experience. I hired Tadd Chapman to sell the house "as is" in what was then a very strong sellers market. I made it clear that I didn't have the money or the time to make improvements like bathroom and kitchen upgrades and new floors throughout. Chapman brought NOBODY to view the house for many weeks. He claimed that without tens of thousands$ spent on upgrades no one would be interested. It was a set up. He insisted that as a General Contractor he has all the right people lined up to do the best quality upgrades at the fairest price. He insisted he would personally oversee their work and that I should just borrow money to pay them. He swore that it would assure the quickest sale at the best price. Tadd Chapman repeatedly lied to me. He sent a parade of the most incompetent, dishonest people I've ever dealt with. Chapman's scheme put far more money ( from my Disabled Veterans pension) in his cronies pockets then Chapman would've got from the commission. He never delivered on a single promise. Unreliable, cravenly dishonest...the absolute worst Realtor I've ever encountered and I've bought and sold 15 properties in five states and two foreign countries since buying my first home 1974 !

With the last transaction I closed with Tadd he was there every step of the way. I sent him my assistant when she was buying her home and she was thrilled with his services. He helped her negotiate the best price possible for the home she wanted.  I truly trust him to take superb care of anyone I send him.

To start with, Tadd's service was far more than we expected and we would strongly recommended him to any buyer looking for a new home.
Tadd provided a LOT of information to allow us to make decisions.  He never pressured us.  He went above and beyond to inform.  For example, we sold our home in Iowa and had some trouble with the real estate agent we selected.  My husband decided to email Tadd for another opinion.  Tadd sent back a long email explaining options and pros/cons for each option.  Tadd wasn't even involved in the sale of our home and was in a different state, but wanted to help us out.  After working with our real estate agent in Iowa, Tadd was a refreshing pleasure to work with.
Tadd was part of Keller Williams at the time of our home purchase.  Keller Williams has a great website to watch for homes being placed on the market.  I loved the tool and ended up telling Tadd which homes we wanted to tour as opposed to relying on Tadd to find homes.  However, Tadd was eager to find homes for us, but we were too internet savvy and wanted to do it ourselves.
Tadd only had to take us on five tours and we found our home that first day.  Tadd spent an hour with us discussing strategy on placing an offer.  He just kept answering our questions and didn't act like he had to rush off.  Once we decided on the offer, he kept us informed over the weekend.  The other real estate agent was unable to be contacted, so Tadd let us know what methods he tried contacting her and let us know we had to wait.  I was grateful he kept us informed that he was waiting.
Once the offer was accepted, Tadd became even more engaged.  He was on top of each step in the process.  We had two mortgage companies we had to choose from and Tadd was informative without being restrictive to one or other other.  We ended up going with the mortgage company we found instead of the one Tadd recommended.  He was supportive and worked with our mortgage company as well as he might have with the other company.
We ran into a problem with the home inspection.  There were a number of items we requested for the seller to repair before leaving.  She was not in a situations to make repairs and instead asked for us to accept a check and make the repairs ourselves.  Due to some constraints, we ended up in a situation with a complicated problem.  Tadd gave us a couple of options to consider.  None of the options met our needs.  Tadd made several calls and ended up finding a real estate agent that had solved a similar problem with a unique approach.  We all agreed that solution met both the seller and our needs and we moved forward.  Tadd was instrumental at ensuring we closed on the correct date.
