Superior Water Softeners

My existing system quit working and I had water all over the kitchen floor. I had just finished reading the latest Angies's monthly magazine and I saw Superior's advertisement so I called them. The next day the owner came by and removed the old system and installed the new one.

First, let me state that I'm always skeptical of anyone performing services in my home. I consider myself a "DIY'er" capable of completing most things when it comes to maintaining or upgrading my home. I do a lot of research on how to complete whatever it is I'm working on. Nine times out of ten, I am able to find the flaws in the services performed just by asking questions on how said services are going to be performed.



I wanted to install a water softener for my 22 year old home that was never plumbed for one. I had about four bids from plumbing companies to plumb my house for the water softener. I received bids costing between $2300-$4100...just to plumb my house. I did so much reading on water softeners, I even downloaded multiple installation manuals from different popular brands just to study how they are installed.



Then I found Superior Water Softeners, here on Angie's List. I watched the videos under "media" by Richard Garcia. The videos show the work he's performed and the importance of having a properly sized water softener for your home. Again, I requested a bid to plumb my house so I could install a water softener. I had a lot of questions for Richard and he was able to answer all of them to my satisfaction. Right off the bat he said he's not a hard-ball salesman...and he wasn't. He laid out all his prices for me and it tuned out that his price to plumb my house and install a custom built water softener was less expensive than most of the bids I received to just get it plumbed. So I employed his services.



His team of three men arrived around 8-83 am and they went straight to work. One of the guys did all of the trenching and had it completed and ready for the new PVC pipes within thirty minutes. They completed the whole installation by noon. Later that evening, I ran the dishwasher. When the cycle was complete, it looked as if I cleaned the inside of the dishwasher. My glasses had never been clearer. It has been amazing ever since. I love this water softener.



Richard Garcia has shown me that he's a real stand-up person and I will recommend his services to anyone needing a water softener.

When we moved into our house the water softner was dead.  Our inspector recommended Richard to us so we invited him to give us an estimate.  He sat with us for over an hour and explained his system in excrutiating detail.  We liked that it doesn't accumulate dirt and is transportable.  It may be a little bit more expensive than the ones in a box, but we thought the fact that RIchard designed this himself to avoid all the pitfalls of those boxed softners made it worth it.  It even dispenses a disinfectant into the water. 
Richard's customer service is incredible.  One day we had a leak and he came over right away to fix it.  When we have our sink re-modeled he is going to re-attach the RO system.

Our salesperson was on time, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The installation went smoothly. He was out at our house to supervise. He came back a couple weeks later to go over everything.

Superior Water was outstanding company to get water treatment products and services. The owner, Richard, was very knowledgeable, experienced, and has exceptional customer service skills. Moreover, he was not pushy and did not try pulling any ?Bait and Switch? or other typical sales tactics other companies I received estimates from tried.
I moved into a new home and wanted to get a quality water softener because where I moved has extremely hard water; I also wanted a reverse osmosis installed because it is an awesome device and you NEVER need to buy water from a store again. I had 3 other estimates and each company offered what they felt I needed. I knew some was overkill or not the right system for
my family. Moreover, each one of those companies wanted me to make a decision on the spot and were very pushy to get that decision. Giving an investment of this magnitude, I do not like to make rushed decisions. I like to weigh my options, talk with my wife, and evaluate everything. Superior Water did not try to rush me. He gave me a price which was very fair and gave me a few days to come to a decision.
After deciding to go with Superior Water, scheduling, installation, and customer service was all top notch! Superior Water was on time and prepared, these are 2 qualities that are super important when someone is on a tight schedule to move.
Finally, if you decide to go with Superior Water, I highly recommend using their annual service checkups. Not only does it keep up your equipment warranty, but Superior Water offers other labor incentives because they are maintaining your system. I have maintained a water softener and reverse osmosis (big box store variety) and it is not fun. Water is such an important resource for you and your family. Save yourself a lot of headaches and have Superior Water install and maintain your water treatment needs.

They quoted us $5000 for it. My husband was very impressed with them and they gave us a very nice presentation. The only thing was that they were selling us something we were not interested in. Their product was good but was more than what we were looking for. They got here quickly though.

Richard was great as always! I haven't seen him in a year and he still remembered little details of the original install. He was on time and very friendly as usual. He didn't mind my nosy dog looking over his shoulder and even gave him a treat. The dog was giving him kisses before he left! He explained everything that he was doing, made sure I knew where all my emergency shut offs were and gave a quick troubleshooting refresher on my tank. He explained exactly what he was charging for and how often I would need to replace filters, membranes, sanitizer, carbon etc. He was very thorough and I like that he gets to know his customers and doesn't try to push you to buy parts you do not need. He provides great warranties also which provides nice peace of mind.

They did a great job, left everything in good order and sent someone out a few weeks later to test softness of water and answer any questions.

Everything was fine. They did a great job. They came the day and time we asked them to. They called us before they came because we have a gate so we have to let people in. We were satisfied with them. They were professional. I felt the price was fair. We’ll probably use them again next year.

It went very well.  He was very  nice and friendly and he understood that I needed a lot of help.  He  taught me what I needed to know and did not treat like a stupid little old lady as I have encountered when I have needed help from others.  Also he did not overcharge me as had happened with others.  He was quite a nice young man.

Richard was great! I left a message for him to set up an in home quote and even though he was out of town, he called me within the hour to set up our appointment. Once he came to the house his knowledge about water softeners (in general) and home water filtration was very evident. He cares more about my clean water than I did. After testing our water and explaining to my wife and I all about water filtration systems, what the most common problems are, and explained thoroughly what makes his product different and why.  He evaluated our needs and asked exactly what we wanted for our house. He made his recommendation to us and we chose to use him. At no time did he ever feel pushy or rushed to sell us anything. Richard was very respectful and courteous the whole time. The day his plumbers came to install the unit he showed up to make sure everything was going well and if my wife had any concerns. He walked my wife through everything and made sure that we understood what little maintenance we needed to do to ensure our unit ran well for a very long time. I highly recommend him and his company!

I meet Richard and was extremely impressed with his knowledge of water purification systems and the issues with water quality in the area surrounding my new hiome. He took time to listen to my concerns and then show me several different solutions that met my needs.
He also took time to show me a couple of alternative options and describe the pros and cons to each option. I would definitely would recommend Superior Water Softeners to any new or existing home owner.  

The sales presentation was impressive and covered a lot of information which was in plain, easy to understand language. The crew showed up on the scheduled day and completed the installation in a few hours. Richard Garcia showed up to make sure the installation was completed and answer any additional questions about the system. I paid for the system with the only unfinished item being the custom air-gap faucet which I was told they would have to order. After not hearing from Superior Water Softeners for a few weeks, we called and were told they had the faucet and would be coming out to our home to install it. About a month later we still hadn't seen anyone from the company or could not get anyone to call or come by the house. This went on for almost the next year. The only time we actually talked to a person was if we called from an unfamiliar phone number at which time they supposedly scheduled someone to do the install but no one would ever show up! Finally almost a year and many unreturned phone calls later, they installed our faucet and apologized for the wait. Oh?and they were kind enough not to charge me for the faucet
