Our original independent contractor had completed our pool up to blowing on the gunite. We were faced with finding a reliable person/company to obtain estimate to add coping tile and plaster and decking around pool. The estimates we received were horrendous ‼️ We had already purchased the coping and tile so the only major materials was the pool plaster $14000 and $22000 estimates were ridiculous. Steve’s plastering is highly recommended. Once I started calling random pool plasterers Steve’s company kept coming up as a sound referral . I called him; he came out a after taking measurements, gathering details what we needed done, he gave me a bid right then and there. We still had plumbing to finish so I accepted Steve’s offer and coordinated around the plumbing. And the rain. Steve’s men are skillful, hardworking, and polite. The workmanship is to perfection. Steve has a very busy business known across Texas, which speaks to his quality of work and dependability. I highly recommend him and his company ! We’ll continue to use his business to build a concrete patio/deck to finish off the outdoor area.

It went great, I even accidently wrote the check for the wrong month and he didn't contact me regarding this, he waited and deposited the check, that is the reason it sparked a reminder to write a review. Sorry Steve!

Our pool developed a serious leak just after Christmas last year. Our awesome pool guy (see our review) recommended Steve's Plastering as a leak detection company with a solid reputation. I contacted Steve's and made an appointment for the leak detection. The rep said they could be there within a few days and noted the cost ($275) to find the leak. The day of the appointment the three members of the company showed up on time. They were very professional and got right to work with the ground penetrating radar. Within a few hours they had confirmed the leak (good news: just one leak...bad news: of course it was under the concrete around the pool). Before departing I had an estimate on the cost to dig up the concrete, fix the leak and repair the concrete ($650). Two days later the team came back out and repaired the leak. It took them maybe three hours. I was impressed with the team's skill in repairing the leak (they rerouted the pipe), pressure testing the system and repairing the concrete. I expected just a basic concrete patch, but the team mixed in large gravel to match the texture of the existing concrete. Except for the fact that the patch is not weathered, the concrete looks the same. All in all, a great job. The company was very professional from first phone contact through the end of the repair.

We received a number of quotes from large and small companies. We went with Steve because he was recommended by other pool industry professionals, had a much lower quote, seemed to only quote for the minimum work that needed to be accomplished to meet our needs (the larger companies said many extraneous things were needed), and his timetable to start work was only weeks as opposed to many months out.
We were please with the speed and quality of work. Steve is very responsive by phone or texting. I would choose his company again.
