Complete disappointment! This is our galvanized roof after only 4 years and many attempts to get it corrected. A total fail on their part!

My roof was completed satisfactorily, however, they damaged my air conditioning unit and would not take responsibility for the damage and this cost me over $4000. Therefore, I am very unhappy with their service. A copper pipe was broken which caused a leak of freon which caused my compressor to break, necessitating the replacement of the entire unit. They said we had no proof that they caused the damage but there is no other reasonable explanation. It was not broken before they came, and it was broken right after they left and no one else in the house could have done it. They hid behind the fact that I could not prove it and that cost me $4000. Trash was thrown from the root to my neighbor’s yard and it was left for over a week. Roofing nails left in the driveway ruined a front tire and a new pair had to be purchased. Ok with the roof sloppy everywhere else. I am taking them to small claims court.

Called them for estimate in early December 2017. Took a week to come out and another 4 weeks to work on it. They violated several provisions on the contract, but the most egregious was totally leaving off the "synthetic underlayment" (formerly called roofing paper). They sent an inspector out who pronounced everything perfect, and when we complained about the defects and the lack of underlayment, they finally sent another inspector out who admitted that there was, indeed, no underlayment. He said they would re-do the roof correctly. It is now mid-February, that was over 2 weeks ago, and we have heard NOTHING from Stephens Roofing! Do NOT go with this company, and totally disregard their "endorsement" by KTSA radio and whoever else.

My flashing was leaking and they fixed it, but it leaked again very badly. I got some sort of weird leak going on.

The roof was supposed to be installed after a complete removal of the old roof. They failed to remove all of the old tar paper and took shortcuts too save themselves work. The crew on the job would not correct the issue. I put in calls to the job supervisor and the company to get someone in authority to respond. This did not happen until the next day. By then it was to late. The only way to get what I agreed to was to tear off the new roof and start over. Had they responded the day before it would have been an easy fix. The lack of response was blamed on a divorce the owner was said to be going through. They did say they would fully warranty the roof. I waited to leave this review 2 years until I got another new roof after a recent hail storm. I didn't want any negative review causing warranty issues. The clean up after the job was horrible. My Sago palms in the front yard were full of roof debris and had not been properly covered. Cleanup after the job was 80% at best. The roof was tucked under the drip edge at the bottom against my specific request. There was n attention to detail and much of what was agreed to in advance was completely ignored. Customer service was almost non existent. I hear all of the praises for this company on their radio ads. Nothing could be further from the truth. Save yourself the trouble. Starr Industries is light years ahead of this company.

Unfortunately, did not turn out well. Every time it rains the areas that were repaired leak more than ever. This has caused a lot of damage in the home. We have had damage to walls, wood floors, insulation, electrical, framing in attic. The supervisor says they didn't do the work even though I have their receipt. Then he changed the story to they don't warranty their work. Had I known this I wouldn't have used them for the work.

Their crew was fast, efficient, and neat.  Although the wait for the quote and the
actual roof work was lengthy, hang in there, this company does excellent work.
TPO technology for a residential roof is new. I will update this review with my findings.

Horrible. We have had numerous leaks.  Mr. Torrez says that someone from his company needs to be present each time someone accesses the roof.  So we scheduled him to meet our new AC company out her today @ 12:30 and told him we are closed 1/2 a day so call the cell phone and we will let you in.  Mr. Torrez came and went to the front door which was locked because we are closed and then left.  We called Mr. Torrez to find out where he was and said we were closed so he  let.  He said he had a job that would take about 10 minutes and then he would come over.  We have been waiting with our AC person here for over 2 hours and Mr. Torrez will not answer his phone calls or return txt messages.  I called the main # at the office and they said they would try to  get in touch with him but I still have not heard from them.  I think it is absolutely ridiculous that someone from the roofing company needs to be here to supervise each and every time someone accesses the roof.  Our AC units are all located on the roofs of these 2 buildings and on a regular basis they are serviced every 3 months.  What I am I to do for my business if there is and AC/Heat problem and a unit(s) are not working.  Wait for days until Mr. Torrez can fit it into his busy schedule to fit us in and then ignore me?   I will absolutely never EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!!!

I called and requested an evaluation of my roof. It's 18 years old and I wanted to know if it required repair or replacement or was fine as is. They did make their appointment and told me there was some minor repair work that was needed but in general the roof was good for 5 or so years still. The repair estimate was for $350.00. I told them to go ahead and do the work. Then I never heard from them again.
I called repeatedly and did get to speak with the estimator once. She was checking that they had a signed authorization to do the work. Was supposed to call me back and never did. Days went by so I called again. A gentleman answered and was very nice and apologetic. He promised to look into it and get back to me that same afternoon. I never heard from him.
More days went by and I called back again and spoke to a supervisor. She looked into my file and told me the job was scheduled for the following Friday. Great, I thought it would be done. Friday came and went and as far as I could tell nobody showed up and the work was not done. No phone call or explanation.
I called that afternoon and and asked the receptionist if she could verify that anyone had been to my home to do the work. She checked and said it had been scheduled and she would check with someone and verify the work was done and she would call me back that day. She never called me back. I never received a bill so I assume they did not show up and do the work as promised.
I just called again over a week later. I asked to speak to a supervisor then I sat on hold for over 11 minutes before hanging up. I called back and explained what I wanted and was told that the supervisor would call me back. I'm not holding my breath. I called back a couple of times just before the 5:00 closing time and got an answering machine. I did not get the promised call back. Again.
Maybe the small job wasn't interesting enough for them but eventually I'm going to replace the roof. It won't likely be with them. The shame is that I believe they are a good company. Good reputation in the city and with people I trust. I just can't fathom the horrendous customer service in my case. Very frustrating. I just want the repairs done and they just don't seem interested in my business.
