He explained everything, gave us color options. They had to coordinate with Southwest Exteriors and they were very professional with each other. They got in touch with each other and I didn't have to hand hold or anything like that. I thought that was very professional because I am not the contractor. They worked very well together when they did work together. They did an excellent job on the roof. The came in and they put it in professionally. I did find a lot of metal bits on the ground and it is just because of the way that our yard is, what they did is they had a magnet on a cart and they pushed it around every day before they went home but some areas of the yard were difficult to access as the magnet was too big so I found little bits of metal here and there but it is nothing that has got me worried but I don't fault them for that. They got the job done quickly and completely. They had to do some light repair work around our chimney because there had been a slight leak that we did not know about and they got that fixed up real nice. What impressed me about this place is the estimates that they gave was exactly what we paid, there wasn't any add on, there wasn't any oh we need to do this.

Very professional bid, pricing, they paid attention to the details, they were courteous, patient, acknowledged the complexity of the roof job, and gave us a contract in a timely manner. They started the project when they said they would and kept working diligently until it was completed appropriately. The roof and workmanship quailtiy was excellent. At this point, there has been no water penetration and that is the main testimony to their work.

They did a good job. I have a good finished product. The salesman Rex was a nice guy to work with. He did a very thorough examination of the old roof.

I chose them for their warranty and the fact that they were in business for a long time. They were very professional. They work on holidays and they do a great job.

Replace old metal roof with standing seam metal.

I hired them because of their quality and their reputation, not because of their price. I was willing to pay a lot more for the job just to ensure it was completed correctly. I have had one problem after another. They kept offering to repair it, but I ended up repairing some of it myself. They did offer to come back out anytime there was an issue, but I was tired of it. Once the crew boss was sick, they sent the crew out with no supervisor. They did have to come back and re-do the roof, but my fascia was still getting wet. They were willing to put some more metal around it patching the problem. They do not allow enough over hand and the water runs back down over the wood instead of falling off edge. There have been several other problems. I wrote them a letter two weeks ago and they have not responded. I sent them a photo of what I recently had to go back and fix where it was leaking around my chimney into my house. This is the area that I specifically told them to pay close attention to and make sure it was done right the first time. Obviously it was not done right. I had to rent a lift and go up there and repair it myself. I did not want anyone else crawling up the new 12/12 pitch roof to fix anything else. Should of been done right the 1st time to be on Angie's List in my opinion.

Couldn't imagine hiring someone that could have done a better job from start to finish. We had another estimate, but they quoted much higher and weren't confident that they could do the job correctly. Rex was the man from start to finish.

The job went very well. I was impressed with everyone from this company, from the representative who explained the job and gave me the estimate, to the manager who oversaw the work, to the workers to carried it out. I chose this company because they do nothing but metal roofing, and my roof has many ridges and valleys, so there's lots of flashing to install and cuts to make in the roofing metal. I am very pleased with the work that was does, and am delighted with my metal roof.

They had to re-do some stuff for us, and they did it for us. It all depends on the crew you end up with. We only found two companies who wanted to do it and they had a better price. We would use them in the future if they are the only people doing it. The thing about metal roof is that you should never have to do it ever again.

I liked the quality of the material they used. They had great workmanship. I also liked the quality of work they did. We had a major storm come through some days ago and the roofing held up pretty well.

The sales representative came to the house to give us an estimate. He was very friendly and professional. Explained all the different options and styles available to us, even how the process worked. The crew was awesome; they would arrive promptly and when they were done for the day, they cleaned up the work area so well, you couldn't even tell they had been there. There were freezing and breezy, even foggy days but the crew was professional and did their best to stay on schedule without putting the crew in danger. We have had nothing but compliments on the roof and how great it looks. We will not hesitate to hire them in the future to put a roof on our patio cover once it is built. The company even took the time to pre-fill all the documentation necessary to submit for the CPS Energy rebate, home insurance discount, and the Federal Tax Credit.

Excellent overall job. Had good weather and job was completed on schedule. Removal of old roof went smoothly. Good job replacing rotten decking. Roof installation also went smoothly. They did a great job installing around four dormers on the second floor. Minimum damage to shrubs around house. Good job cleaning up each day. Professional and courteous. Great communication. I had a few minor concerns with finish items and the company was very responsive. Continued to work until I was completely satisfied. Completed all paperwork so I could file for an energy rebate with my power company, home insurance reduction with my insurance company, and tax credits with my Fed taxes. Very professional from start to finish. Highly recommend!!!

Removed existing roof on all 3 structures in 1 day. Entire job completed in 1 week, faster than originally estimated. Excellent installation, professional crew. Did good job of keeping job site clean. Very happy with results. Expecting a reduction in home insurance, reduced cooling bills, and a rebate from the electric company! Highly recommended.

The workers were respectful and did not play load music like other service people tend to do. They were excellent in every way. We have never had a problem in the years since it was installed.

This company is a pleasure to do business with. My initial contact with the company and subsequent calls were efficiently and courteously managed by Cindy and Rex. A schedule was originally posted for the first week of January but Rex said that he would see if he could work me in before Christmas. Rex sent Danny to my remote home west of San Antonio the next business day. Danny measured the job and quantified a bid which I accepted. Rex called two days later and said he could work the job into the schedule during the week before Christmas. A crew arrived on time the next day to install synthetic underlayment. Gilbert's installation crew lead by Loius arrived at 11 am the next morning under some weather threat of rain. Louis said that the job would probably require a second day but they realized the weather conditions could deteriorate and they would try to complete it as soon as possible. Gilbert managed to manipulate the panel making rig into a tight circular driveway and manufacture all of the roof panels within about one hour after which he left for another job. Louis and the crew worked skillfully and, with elegant unity and by 5:30pm the ridge vent was installed and they were cleaning the work site! I observed the whole process and was amazed at how well this crew of men worked together. By 7pm it was raining and continued to do so all the next day. Rex arrived to inspect the job early on Christmas eve day. All in all this was a very productive and pleasurable experience. Southwest Metal Roofing Systems is a company that San Antonio can be proud of. I highly recommend!

The first crew that removed the existing roof and hauled off the first day, worked all day long with less than an hour lunch break! They were very professional and courteous; could not believe the clean up! Gratefully appreciated! The crew that arrived next did all of the custom built work on the roof taking four days to complete. Again the entire crew worked hard everyday including cleaning up each day! They even painted all the new roof jacks and pipe flashings to match the color of the roof. My husband and I could not have been more pleased with this entire Company! From the salesman, Danny Boes, to the Office Mgr., Cindy Newton, to the Productin mgr, Rex Kincaid, to everyone of their employees that work for them! It was a sincere pleasure to have people work for you that not only take pride in themselves; as per the workmanship they displayed, but took it one step further in respecting me, my husband and my home! Thank you!

They did a beautiful job and I haven't had any problems since. They cleaned up after themselves very nicely every day.

They were very professional and had a reasonable price. They followed up and I was really pleased with how they handled that portion. We are still debating on whether or not we are going to go through with the job.

They were out here very promptly when I called them and asked for an estimate. They were here when they promised. They were very professional salesmen. They did the estimate and presented it to me, but they were just too expensive.

They wanted $6000 for the replacement. We will eventually have this done and will probably use them.

Despite the fact that February seemed to be one rain storm after another, they were able to start very promptly. We called and received an immediate answer and then a visit for the initial estimate within a couple of days. After we called to tell them to schedule the work, they started the job the next day and were able to remove the shingles and replace the wood (they discovered that the wood had rotted in several places and so we had them replace all of it and check for internal damage) and cover it with water barrier the first day. Then we had more rain, but they came out as soon as it was dry enough and got the metal roof installed. Then, of course, it rained again; by the afternoon they were able to come back and get the shingles that overlapped the metal roof replaced. It turned out so well--and NO MORE LEAKS! The entire job was done in less than three days despite all the weather complications. We're very pleased with the work.

Started work week of Thanksgiving. Removed old shingle roof in one day. Never saw the debris since they were good about picking up after themselves. Worked around some bad rainy weather and finished putting in the new roof over a two week period. While they were working no rain water came in the house so I was pleased about that. They had to remove some gutter components but returned them to the original configuration before finishing the job. Project manager made appointment to collect final payment and make sure I was happy with the completed work.

They were excellent. They cleaned up after themselves every day and their work was great. I would highly recommend them.

I signed the contract several weeks earlier but did not want them to start until I returned from vacation. I requested a specific day, and they had no problem with that. They started right on time, and finished in 3 full days, instead of the 5-6 that they had blocked out. I was at work while they were there, but would get home to see a lot of work accomplished and a very neat and tidy work area. I did see the workers at the end of the 3rd day and they were very polite to me. There were no surprises or changes in the project. The overall cost of the project was higher than I expected, but it was in line with other estimates. This company insisted that the old roof be removed first, the other 2 estimates were less but would have left the old asphalt roof under the new. I am glad I paid the extra for the removal, I think the finished roof is much smoother, and the asphalt underneath would have sucked up the summer heat. They tell me that my energy bills will go down, but that is hard to tell that in this constant 100 degree heat. I do get a tax rebate from this Energy Star product.

It was a very positive experience. They had a supervisor that always checked on them. They cleaned up daily, and it looked very nice when they were finished. They did a good job.
