Description of Work: I was very please with the quality and speed of their work. They were in and out in three days and there was a lot wrong with my old roof.They cleaned up after themselves and when there was a slight problem with a very tricky part around my chimney, they were out the same day I reported it and had it fixed the next day. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Description of Work: They stripped off the old leaking metal roof that was in place on the house and outbuildings and quickly cleaned up after that part of the job. They had to install decking in most places, as it had not been there under the old roof. They then installed a beautiful standing seam metal roof on the house and outbuildings, and I love it! They were very professional and worked very hard and fast. They were very polite and responsive to all my questions and comments. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Description of Work: My roof was replaced 2006 with standing seam galvalume and my only regret is that I did not call them 14 years earlier and instead got a shingle roof. Metal roof is the best, carefree and the most handsome roof a house can have. SWMR staff were fabulous and each crew had their job like a well oiled machine. My only suggestion for improvement is to take more care in keeping the metal shavings and former roof nails collected. Being an organic gardener I had to borrow their magnet tool to scavenge the perimeter after they left for the day. AND WHEN and IF this roof needs replacing, they will be the company I call.

+ -1 moreThey responded quickly to my inquiry and sent someone out to measure and give estimate. I was told the crew could start in about 10 days. Actually that time was cut in half and they were there faster. Two different crews one to remove the other to install. All very very good. They were clean and efficient. After the job was complete, SWMR sent someone to follow up, inspect the roof, the property to make sure it had been cleaned up properly and to be sure I was satisfied. I really really appreciated that final touch!

+ -1 moreNo problems at all. Removed prior roof, installed new roof. No scheduling problems that I recall once started. Our roof required a special crimping technique more frequently seen in King William neighborhood, this was done very well, and was in keeping with the vintage of our house.
Description of Work: Excellent work, removing prior metal roof incorrectly installed, done by a big roofing company; beautiful result. Also, excellent follow up. We had a leak at a roof section above a sun room. No problem with follow up investigation. Southwest said if it was the roof they would fix it, and if not, of course it was up to us. it was not the roof but a window above the roof. What is most important is accountability. I prefer dealing with people with integrity.

+ -1 moreI can sum it up in one word - rain. I think the minute they finished putting on the barrier pare it started raining. Thankfully, nothing leaked. Removal of the original roof and installation of the barrier was completed in two days. The installation of the actual metal roof took a couple days less time than estimated - considering the rain interruptions. It looks incredible - like it was made for our house. My only real complaint was the constant finding of nails in the yard, street and driveway. Even though I watched one of workers go over the yard with a BIG magnet one afternoon, there were still nails, metal roof pieces and screws in the yard. You just have to be aware that little pieces of metal will show up for days even after completion.
Description of Work: Remove old composite shingle roofing and felt. Remove existing dysfunctional "turbine" vents and re-deck vent holes. Install poly barrier. Install new painted standing seam metal roof with ridge vent.

+ -1 moreI got a quote from Southwest Metal Roofing because I was very interested in replacing my standard shingle roof with a metal roof for the greater durability, hail resistance, and superior energy efficiency a metal roof provides. I had heard anecdotally that a metal roof would be about 2x the price of composite shingle, but the quote was almost 4x the price of a 20-yr 3-tab, and I just couldn't afford it. ($13,750.)

+ -1 moreSouthwest did a great job with the roof? The workers were wonderful and they were very careful in their work. Most of the roofs around this neighborhood have difficult pits, which make it hard for the men to get up there and do their work. They do charge much more for those types of pits because it put them in danger so to say. They did however manage to get the job done without hurting himself or herself or anyone else. Their prices were very competitive and they are very well known around this part of Austin.
