This company is simply unethical and horrible to deal with. The closing company hired them to do a survey on a property we had bought. They did it. Failed to record something then had to come back out (after we had purchased the property). Without notifying us, they were on our property taking new measurements. Well...they hit a water line and then tried to leave. Luckily, I was at home for lunch and caught them driving away. Through a bunch of hassle they hired a plumber to the fix the yard. You can see what a mess my yard became with the pictures below. Through a ton of hassle, Pete finally came out and tried to reinstall the grass (did not do a good job). A year later, my neighbor is getting a survey. Guess who comes out to do it and digs over 1.5 feet into my yard? The exact same crew. They did not hit a water line this time but did not even try and be careful when digging. I have a huge hole and no grass again. Called Pete and he hung up on me and said that's the way it goes. Well, Pete. Hopefully the way it goes is less business your way.

The surveyors we able to locate 4 of 5 corners of our lot. The 5th was anand quot;Xand quot; ascribed in a stone, over 15 years ago, and long since eroded away. With the job incomplete, the team departed saying I needed to and quot;call the officeand quot; to schedule a return visit to set a marker. Upon return, the surveyors proposed to spray paint the stone and use a nail to scribe an and quot;Xand quot; in the paint. When I insisted they place a pin, I was told by the team that and quot;they did not have the proper equipment to set a survey pin.and quot; The surveyors complained that they had asked management for the proper equipment but had been refused. They recommended that I call the company to complain. I called the owner and he assured me that it would be done right. The next day (3rd visit) the survey crew returned with a hand drill and a masonry bit; however, they were inadequate for the job and I had to loan the crew the proper equipment. I would not recommend this survey company, which was unable to perform the basic tenants of the profession.

everything went well. No problems what so ever.
Every contact was by phone. Company took care of all conditions set by realtor.

South responds quickly and will do emergency surveys for a premium fee, which I appreciate. They work well and promptly and the reports are always back to me quickly. The people are efficient, exact and helpful.
