+ 0 morePluses: Robert Alvarado respects old buildings, reuses elements when possible, knows & cares about energy conservation and builds as "green" as possible. He does not take shortcuts, and pays attention to detail--this is high quality work. He also has local artist connections--which helped create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind bathroom. Also, he's really nice. Minuses: He was unable to stay on time or on budget. Plumber subcontractors showed up at random times--inconvenient, because their visits involved turning off the household water.
Description of Work: Demolished old bathroom, replaced joists and flooring, added heated floor, updated plumbing, made vent in roof, repainted, put in new fixtures and tiles (including large mosaic and border by a local artist; and retro hexagonal floor tiles including hand-placed contrast tiles), completely refurbished 1927 double-hung window and created an artist-designed stained glass element.
