I wish that I could be providing something positive about SkyVUE Design Build, but I would be hard pressed to find anything worthwhile to say about both Jason Peters and his father and the work they did on our home. Foremost they did not complete the work on our home. The incomplete work includes electrical and plumbing as well as other things that were never installed including a bathroom window and a kitchen window The bathroom tile had to be ripped out and redone. The installation of the cabinets was shoddy along with a new 5 Star stove and oven. They never finished the work even after they were paid in full. I would never hire them again and hope that this review will serve as a warning to anyone who is interested in working with them. After chasing them for months they texted us letting us know that they were done and would not complete the work on our home. Warning to all: do not use them for anything!!!

Jason Peters poured a crooked foundation with numerous quality issues. He poured carport posts out of square with the house and over a foot off the intended location. I continually brought issues up verbally with Jason to try and fix things before the became a real problem, and he always assured us that they would be fixed or corrected soon. They never were, and then we poured over 30 yds concreted that is now crooked (out of square) and cannot be fixed without ripping out the entire foundation. Jason tries to blame everyone else for this problems. Even with the issues that could potentially be fixed, I tried to give him a written list of the issues and time to correct as per his own contract, but he refused to take the piece of paper and he has abandoned the jobsite completely. I paid him in full for the concrete work plus additional money for purchase of materials for the next phase, and he has had no contact for weeks. Jason speaks of all of his construction experience with a former company Lone Star State Construction, but fails to mention that was a family business that filed for bankruptcy. I have also spoke personally to one of his subcontractors, which he has failed to pay for another job. Please do not hire this company or any of Jason Peters companies that he might change names to. The photos are only a sample of what I have, and it is hard to convey the importance of these. The first one shows the carport posts not in the center of the form and the top is not free draining with rebar protruding through the surface. I had to remove the form top myself after about a week since it collected 3 inches of water. Even after removing the cardboard form, water still retained on the surface. As usual, Jason promised that they would return and this was not finished, but no one ever returned. The second picture shows the carport post at under 19 ft from the house and was supposed to be at 20 ft to the left edge. Jason claims that I do not know how to use a tape measure since I am not a framer or GC like him. I told him to come measure himself and he has refused. The third photo shows the outside corner curb of the garage foundation with sloppy patching. The patching was an attempt to cover the holes in the concrete due to not properly consolidated concrete around the steel pins in the plate. The steel plate is a structural steel plate to hold steel 4x4 posts ultimately holding up a nearly 800 lb steel header. Jason's response is that in his "expert" opinion, it will be fine since our structural engineer over designed it anyway. Well, it is a good thing I hired my own structural engineer and not Jason to do the design.
