The brakes have been squeaking and with 60K miles of city driving and original brakes, I thought for sure it'd need rotors and pads. Mark called me after inspecting and said that there was plenty of meat on the pads and the squeaking was from glazed rotors (a common phenomenon) and they may last, depending upon driving, another year or more. He could turn (resurface) the rotors to remove the squeak but he didn't feel it was worth the cost at this point, and neither did I. What I truly appreciate about this operation is they pride themselves on honesty and integrity. I get all of of our auto repairs done at Seymour's and will continue to! They're terrific!

A friend recommended Seymours and I was very impressed with their customer service and their work. I am a very happy customer and will be back when I need auto repair in the future.

I stopped by last week to get a quote of the brake work to be done by Brian, the service manager and made an appointment. Yesterday, I took my 350Z in for the appointment and they opened on time even the city was shut down due to icy roads! Brian called me before lunch to say that the rotors had worn to their limit and if he cut them, they'd then be below the limit. So, he needed to replace all four of them to include new pads all the way around. When Brian called me, he gave me the actual measurements in millimeters in comparison to factory specs. I love Seymour's because even though they may cost more than the cost at a chain of brake shops, Brian never up-sells me and all of his technicians are ASE certified, not just salesmen. And, even though many parts stores also opened late due to the weather, he still had my car done by 4 PM. And, it was $55 under the quote! and the quality of work is always excellent. Now that's a great experience! I will continue to use Seymour's garage!

What we really appreciated about this garage was their honesty. We told them that we were just trying to keep this old car roadworthy for short commutes and didn't want to pour a lot of $ into it. They would tell us all of our options for each repair that we needed - not just the most expensive or extensive, but even the band-aid approach - and they'd do what we wanted them to do. We usually took the cheapest approach and it worked - we kept the car safely operating for as inexpensively as we could until we finally decided it was time to replace the car last year. The guys at Seymours really know cars and they work with you according to your own goals. Sometimes it takes awhile to get your repairs done b/c they're so busy - but they do good work at a fair price.

Another great job by Seymour's Garage, I won't take my vehicles anywhere else! These guys simply know their stuff, they are competent professionals, and won't try to sell you something you don't need.

I just called them today to sort out what to do with my car, so this story is to be continued! (I only hope that my car buying experience is as good as this one has been, well, as good as having your car completely die on you can be, anyway!)

Seymours Garage Inc. back what they do. I used him for 30 years. All that time, he's never done something that my car didn't need. He will say I don't need something right now and that I could wait. He's awesome.

Great shop and prices, but because they are so good, they are really busy.

So I admit I am terrible about keeping up with car maintenance - I will do the oil changes at the correct intervals but really nothing else unless it breaks. I put 100,000 miles on this truck and had this bad feeling that I am just asking for trouble so I took it to Seymour's to give it a complete once over. I had used Seymour's in the past with other vehicles and really trust them to do a good job. They are a little inconvenient for me which is why I drifted away in the past but I don't think I will ever stop using them again unless Mark gets eaten by a shark. As a small business owner who understands the value of integrity above all else I really appreciate these folks. I know plenty of businesses who, if they gave you a price over the phone and it turned out to cost less than their estimate, they would pocket the profit. Not Seymour's.. some parts cost less than they thought and they adjusted the cost accordingly. They worked the phones to save me $1,500 on a new intercooler. They went an picked up new tires from a local tires shop at no extra charge to save me a trip. Top notch. I had a laundry list of repairs that have accumulated over the last 13 years so I spent quite a bit of money on my second child (my truck) but I am happy with the value I got for the money I spent.

They do excellent work and are completely honest.

I'm very happy with the service I received from Seymour's garage. They were very knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. Communication was good, and they even gave us some general maintenance tips before we left. The owner has a policy that they don't upsell additional repairs. If they see something that needs attention they will let you know, but they don't go looking for upsells. The price seemed ok, and I believe that great service is worth it, even if its a little more than others. Very happy with the service and plan to bring my other vehicles here as needed

I explained to Brian (Seymour's Garage's manager) that his shop had replaced the pump earlier in the year and that it now had a terrible leak and the power steering was inoperative. He said not to worry that unless it was something that they had not replaced earlier, it would be covered by the warranty. He called me later in the day to say it was ready and that a crush washer (a sealing surface between the pump and pressure hose) had failed to seat properly, causing the leak. They replaced the washer, cleaned everything off, re-filled the fluid and all is well once again. His eagerness to get the problem quickly resolved and get our car back to us is why I will continue to use this shop.

What they charged me matched the quote perfectly. They were very careful to explain everything and gave me all the details for what they were going to do.They were very professional, Brian especially so.

My husband has used Seymour's Garage for a long time, and after my frustration with the dealer on work for my Odyssey, took it to Seymour's when my A/C went out. Everyone that works there is friendly and the work they do is thorough and priced reasonably. We have 3 cars and now only will take them to Seymour's! They are trustworthy, and HONEST which is hard to find in the auto service business. I paid a little more than I expected for my A/C repair, but know that it is thousands less than I would have expected to see from the dealer. Very satisfied!

I have been taking my vehicle here for three years. They seem very honest and upfront with diagnoses.

The receptionist greeted me promptly and introduced me to the service manager who gave me a price quote to replace the pump. The work was completed in the time frame the manager told me and just under the price estimate. Everything was perfect and I will use Seymour's Garage again! I had never heard of this garage until I found it on Angie's List. It's so conveniently located just 2 miles from my house!

They went above and beyond. We had an older Mercedes model and they couldn't figure what was wrong with it. They actually called the Mercedes Benz Company in Germany and had them send them a disc. You set up and put into the computer that would determine what was wrong with the car. When they told me that, I thought I have never heard of such a thing. They were excellent and I would recommend them to anybody. I do not know how much I spent on it but it seemed extremely reasonable considering all the work that they put into it. I would rate them highly and I would use them again in the future.

After a disasterious experience at BMW of SA (NEVER GO THERE), I looked on Angie's list to find quality engine repair. Seymour's had great reviews, and well deserved. I was concerned that they would be unable to service my 2002 BMW, but when I called they assured me that they worked on all makes and models, and would take me that same day with no appointment. They were exhaustive in the diagnostics to find the problem, and knew the exact parts needed for my model year engine. When the parts supplier sent a "substitute," Brian sent it back and got the right part. He didn't even charge me the price difference for the more expensive (correct) part. I will be using Seymour's from now on, and so should you.

The experience was wonderful. I've been having trouble I couldn't pin down, and had no luck with two previous service providers. I found Seymour's on Angie's List, and they lived up to the billing. It appears to me that they put in more time than i was charged for, performing research on my problem, in an effort to leave no stone unturned, and they were successful in that. My truck is running much better, and I have even seen an increase in gas mileage! I will use them again!

It has become our garage for auto service and I will use them again in the future.

I got them off of Angie's List. I would give them the highest marks. I've only used them twice and would use them again in the future.

What i liked best about the experience was that Mark took the time to explain everything they found wrong on the car, to include part and labor expense to fix, and whether or not each item had to be fixed right away or could wait for repair.

Our 2002 Ford Windstar Van began having problems in September of 2010. The van would randomly lose engine power while driving at high speeds. It would also "jump" into gear when reaching speeds above 70MPH. We contacted a local Ford dealership to review the problem and tell us what we needed to do. The company kept the van overnight and determined (according to their computers) that nothing was wrong with the van. After the problem continued to happen, we contacted Seymore's Garage. They were the most helpful people from the initial phone call to the end. We dropped the van off on a Tuesday morning. They were very busy and were unable to look at it until Wednesday. They encouraged us to call whenever we needed to get updates on the van. Mark was incredibly friendly and eventually knew who we were just from saying our name. Very kind and friendly. After keeping the van for a week, during which they drove it off and on for 4 days to duplicate the issue, they finally found a problem and were able to fix it within hours. Unlike the Ford Dealership, Seymore's Garage continued to search for a problem until it was found, instead of assuming nothing was wrong. We were extremely surprised that the cost was not astronomical, as we expected it to be. Very reasonable labor fees! Seymore's garage was even okay with us not being able to pick it up until the next day. We also had several other items that we wanted them to check and they did so without question. They even replaced a few light bulbs at no cost to us. Seymore's garage also did not try to sell us items or services we do not need. We had asked them to look at a part that was flapping in the wind while driving. After telling us the cost to replace it, Mark even said it wasn't a big deal and was just cosmetic, so if we wanted to save $300 we could just try to ignore the annoying sound. I am so impressed. They even made us a "follow up appointment" in 2 weeks or 500 miles so they can check to make sure they did the job correctly! I have never had a mechanic offer that!! In addition to all the services they provided, Seymore's Garage also took steps to protect our vehicle from a storm that came through our area while they had our vehicle. I am very appreciative that they thought of all their customers before their need to finish another job.

These guys are the best of the best out there. Mark and his team always exhibit integrity and honesty in everything they do. They insist on making things right which is a rare event these days, especially for most auto repair/service shops. My Mercedes CLK55 threw a serpentine belt and left the car stranded one evening. They arranged for a tow to pick up my keys from my house and recommended a shorter belt to accommodate the performance pulley set (they previously installed perfectly). In addition, I had a routine oil change done. There was a problem with the oil filter which caused the belt to loosen due to an oil leak but Mark and his team made it right. They double-checked for any other damage and ensured that everything was sound before releasing the car. The true test of a company's integrity is how they deal with issues and oversights. Seymour's Garage always does what it takes to remedy the situation and has gone beyond the call in the past by covering additional, unrelated expenses due to the inconvenience. My only complaint is that they're so good that their business is picking up more and they're a little backed up at times. It's a small price to pay for getting it right though!
