Seymour's Garage has been providing the highest level of customer service and quality vehicle care for the San Antonio and surrounding communities since 1968. We are family owned and operated. Our system is unlike others, as we operate with an "IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT" attitude. We will not look at it if you don't ask and we never do a repair without first using our state of the art equipment to attain an accurate diagnosis and obtaining your permission for repairs. Excellent!!! Matthew worked with my insurance adjuster (USAA) to get almost everything covered for Auto #1. Auto #2 paid by me. Matthew was awesome! Shawn, too! Mathew kept me informed and explained everything in detail. Work completed within 2-3 days. Totally recommend Seymores!!!

Seymour's is the best! Matthew and team quickly determined that the valves inside the compressor were causing major issues, preventing the system from cooling properly. Also needed rear brakes to be replaced as well. Seymour's never recommends any service or part replacement that is an "upsell". They may recommend a component be replaced in the future if it can safely be delayed. I truly appreciate that they treat their customers like family. And, during this COVID situation, they picked up and dropped off the car to our home - wonderful service!

Had an intermittent starter problem that I had previously tried to fix. Dropped my vehicle at 9:30 and they gave me a ride home. They diagnosed the problem and called me to discuss the repair and the cost, which was reasonable. They fixed it and delivered my truck to my home that afternoon. Excellent!

I live in Michigan,and my Son (17 year old) lives in San Antonio. Seymour's made the process of caring for my Son's vehicle between two States a breeze. They took the time to present me with options. They replaced the transmission, and addressed a few other problems. So far the car is operating wonderfully. My only suggestion to the garage, is that they should remind folks who purchase a rebuilt transmission to have the transmission fluid changed again after 5,000 miles. I came across this information after reading the warranty document, but could have missed this point.

Best place you can go in San Antonio and I highly recommend. I had motor mounts in my Altima replaced in March. A few months later one of the bolts must have sheared off, I called Seymours and they told me to bring it in and fixed it under their labor warranty. Also had some issues going on with my AC since I had taken it in for the motor mount replacement and turns out one of the switches had been damaged. Even though It was months later Seymours took ownership and repaired that as well. I cannot recommend this place enough and they really do stand by their work and reputation. Because of the service I have received, Seymours will be my go to shop from now on for all my vehicles. If you want quality repair and quality service, look no further than Seymours.

Had vehicle serviced by Seymour's back in July 2015.  Very honest, polite and cost effective.  Diagnosed a loud tapping noise from engine as a loose carbon deposit stuck on the edge of a valve.  Fixed the issue and had me back on the road within 24 hours. Very reasonable price.  I told them that a local Toyota dealer had done a full diagnostic assessment of major issues with my car that I would like to have them service in phases.  We would start with the drive train.  The drive shaft front joints were worn and needed to be replaced.  In October, I dropped the car off and expected it to take about 3-4 days to be ready as explained by the service manager.  Surprisingly they called me the next day and said it was ready for pick up.  I picked up the vehicle and when driving away found that it was still making the same knocking sound from the drive shaft.  I immediately when back to the garage and their service manager, Nelson, went with me for a ride around the block.  He heard the noise still and said to just leave it with them again and he would have them look at it.  The following afternoon, Nelson called to tell me they had mistakenly put a new u-joint in the rear of the shaft and did not rebuild the whole shaft as requested/diagnosed.  They said to give them about 3-4 days (same as original estimate) and it should be ready to go.  He said they would credit the $300+ already paid against the cost of the drive shaft rebuild (they did honor this when all was said and done). 5 days went by (result of a  weekend) and still no call.  I called to ask about the status of the car and was told they had taken the drive shaft to another shop called Thrash that did their rebuilds please given them another week.  After 7 days I called to see  about the status and they said Mr. Thrash (senior apparently) was working on the drive shaft personally and just wasn't happy with it so it would be a while longer.  Long story short it was nearly 4 weeks by the time my vehicle was ready for pick up.  Yes, the drive shaft was fixed.  That is not my complaint.  Not accurately assessing how long I would be without a car is a problem.  Going from 3 days to a month is a problem.  Albeit not controlled by Seymour's they should have kept me better informed.  This is still not my biggest complaint.  I picked up my car, paid the ticket and thought all was good to go.  3 weeks later I took my car to the car wash.  As I was washing under the front end I noticed my entire skid plate was missing.  This is no small piece of sheet metal.  You're talking about a 28" x 28" square piece of 1/4" thick sheet metal that completely covers/protects the oil pan and transmission and transfer case my 4Runner.  It is bolted on in several places and does not just come off.  Seymours had to remove this plate in order to access the front end of the drive shaft from the transfer case.  I immediately went to Seymours to get my plate and have them re-install it.  MUCH to my dismay they could no longer find this very large part.  I very patiently said I understand but surely it was around some where they just probably couldn't remember where it was placed.  Nelson assured me they would continue to look, but it they could not find it he would just order a new one.  I told him that I would be Ok with just getting a used one and he said he would locate one.  They called me about 3 days later to say they had found two and I took my car back to their shop.  Unfortunately the one's they found were for a different model car and much smaller than my missing skid plate.  Nelson said he would continue to look.  He mentioned that it was hard to find.  I then asked about a new one and he said they were no longer in production and no longer available.  He said he would continue to search.  This was in December 2015.  I shouldn't have taken him at his word and should have checked with Toyota on my own right then but I still trusted this place at that point.  Fast forward 7 months (SEVEN!) and I still do not have my missing skid plate.  I spoke to Nelson again the last week of March and he once again said there are just no skid plates available.  No further effort was ever made to call me or even offer to compensate me for the missing part.  I just called the Toyota dealership nearest to Seymour's garage.  I told them I needed a skid plate for a 1999 Toyota 4Runner 3.4L Limited.  They said it was a special order item, would take about 3 days to get in $295.68.  Hmmmm, not available, not in production?  How about just poor service.  You leave a $300 part off my car that is over 2 sq ft in size? How did you over look something this big in the first place?  How do you tell me it cannot be ordered new when I can get it from a dealer less than 3 miles from your shop?  How do you go from being so good on my first experience to so bad on my last?  No honesty.  No integrity.  Those two things are EVERYTHING to me and most other customers.  I'll pay extra just to deal with someone that maintains honesty and integrity.  I'm actually very sorry to have had this experience.  I was happy with your shop.  I just wanted my parts back that belong on my car and that were on it when you serviced it.  I offered to just take a used part in its place.  You then lied about not being able to get a new part.  I assume that was to save your shop the $300.  Well, your mechanic shouldn't have lost it in the first place.  Really shouldn't have thrown it away as scrap metal in the second.  I would have gladly returned to your shop to have all the remaining work done on this 4Runner.  Engine seals, new timing chain, new water pump, valve cover gaskets, etc, etc.  It is an older car and needs service but still in good condition.  Most disappointing.   This is just a complaint.  I still want the missing skid plate for my 4Runner.  Especially since I now know they are readily available from Toyota.

I contacted Brian by phone and explained the problem with my car.  He said he understood and would be happy to check it out.  He stated that it could probably be done in a day.  The following morning, I took the car in and it had been checked out before my ride could arrive to take me home.  Since the work was going to take a very short period of time, I cancelled my ride and simply waited for the work to be done.  The work was done according to the way I wanted it and in no time at all. The car is running better and my mileage has gone up 2 miles per gallon.  Brian and all the service crew that I came in contact with are extremely polite and VERY knowledgeable.    This is not the first time I have had work done here.  I have always been satisfied with the time it takes to get the job done and the courtesy I have been shown.  They always explain what the problem is, what it will take to fix it and approximately how long it will take to make the repairs. The price has always been fair for the work done.   I would highly recommend Seymour's Garage to anyone needing reliable auto repairs.
