Our renters called and said that the A/C wasn't cooling. I am out of the country, so I looked all over Angie's List for an A rated A/C service company with lots of good reviews and as a bonus offered a military discount. I then contacted my partner and ask him to contact Service First, first.
He contacted me and told me that he had to continue looking for a reputable and more professional company because the receptionist he spoke with was rude and sort of sarcastic when he asked about free estimates. According to him, she answered yes so he asked a follow-up question, what if it needs Freon? She apparently answered well that's $79.00 for the service call in a harsh tone. Needless to say, there are way too many A/C service companies out there to deal with that have receptionist with better attitudes towards callers with basic questions.

I assure you this is not typical of the way we run our business. I apologize and if you would like to call us to discuss this issue. We would like to rectify this situation. Thank You"
Their tech took a picture of the receipt for the new AC.
When we told the office manager that we felt this issue was due to their "cleaning" the Air handler in the attic when they installed the condenser last year(they wanted to check the air handler to make sure it did not need to be replaced along with the condenser outside) and not putting the overflow pipe back through the hole in the attic so any residual water could leak outside they denied any responsibility and then would not accept or return our calls.
When my husband called again to ask if they were going to fix the issue the office manager was very nasty, hung up on us and again said they were not responsible.
It cost almost 3 grand in mold remediation. Fortunately for us we have great insurance and our insurance took care of the mold remediation.

When they returned, they moved slower than they had in the morning but got the job done. For most this probably wouldn't have been an issue but I had boarded our dogs for the day and HAD to pick them up by 7pm. They finished at 6:40 and I was able to get there just in time but I was getting a little worried towards the end.
As I said earlier, I am very satisfied with the work they did and will definitely use them again and would recommend them to my friends and family. I didn't give them a review right away because I wanted to be sure I didn't have any problems before submitting it. Although it's almost November now, the weather has not gotten cold enough to turn on the heat, so please take that into consideration but the unit has a 10 year warranty and the AC part of the unit has worked great, so we're not anticipating any issues!
