I have spent 4 different days at home waiting for a sears technician... they send 4 or 5 texts and emails all week to make sure that I'm gonna be there, then they send me the schedule and it shows a tech and he will be coming by at 4pm... and then NOTHING... after hours get an email saying that they are rescheduling for the missed appointment TEN DAYS LATER... one gentlemen did actually show up, determined that I needed parts, set it up, the parts were shipped to me, Sears AUTO ROBOT calls me and I have to call an 800 number and confirm that I received the parts... well I did that and the next day (of which I'm scheduled for service) the same robot calls me again and says the same thing, I call teh 800 number, teh call takes over 35 minutes to do exactly what I did the previous day... they tell me I'm in the system, I get "rescheduled", I waste another F'n day stuck at home cause the window is 8am to 5pm... and THEY DON'T F'N SHOW AGAIN, I get a text and an email at the end of the day saying they I've been rescheduled for TEN MORE DAYS FROM NOW... 36 days I've been trying to get this damned thing fixed and you cant talk to a human... all their communication is to make sure that someone is home and they will get paid, they dont give an F about anything else or customer service

This is a horrible company if you want to have direct communication with the person doing the repairs. If anything goes wrong, you will jump from 1-800 numbers to online chat representatives. You will never get a local number or a location that you can visit. This will be the 1-star review that you read and state, "Well, that won't happen to me". Still, I feel compelled to post it. It took Sears 3 months to complete a repair on my refrigerator. During that time, I had to defrost the refrigerator myself on 5 separate occasions or I would not have had a refrigerator at all. Luckily, I had watched the technician do it the first time or I would not have known what to do. When a part did not arrive, Sears was unsympathetic. Sears refused to send out a technician to keep my refrigerator running until the part arrived. I documented all the poor communication that took place over 3 months (lying representatives, canceled appointments without notification, inability to submit a complaint) and I was finally able to submit it to the Sears complaint department. The rep offered me 15% off my next repair. I declined and indicated I would never work with Sears again. It is a shame. I have mostly Kenmore appliances. I always bought Sears tools. No more.

I had to call several different times over more than a month and never got my appliances installed. After finally being given a different number I finally reached someone who told me that they didn't have me in the computer system for installation any longer because it had been too long. I decided it wasn't even worth the hassle and that I didn't want to give them the business. They won't refund me for the amount I prepaid for installation.

First repair man came on 19th. Ordered parts thru local Sears dealer, these were received on Monday 29th. Repair man came alone on 30th. He was unable to do anything because no one told him our unit was a stackable and the washer is on the bottom. Rescheduled for Feb. 8th. We told everyone that we had a stackable unit, the model and year. Communication Breakdown was on your end. Now, Another week to wait for repairs.

Great, repairman was knowledgeable, professional and personable. I asked him to pull out my appliances so I could sweep the lint from behind and he suggested I get my vacuum as it would do a much better job and he did most of the work with no complaints. A clamp was missing on the back of the v ent hose; I happened to have one so he replaced it.

First call to Sears I was told there were zero warranties on the unit. Called a different repair company and found out there were two warranties. Sears came out 1 week later and replaced control board. $800 repair. This did not fix the problem. Called Sears again and was told it would be a week and a half before someone else could come out. I complained and someone came in two days. This technician said it was the sealed system. It will take almost two weeks to get the parts and schedule a repair. I have now been without a refrigerator going in four weeks. Sears will not credit the control Board that was installed only the labor. So I am out around $500 for something that did not fix the problem. I have been told the refrigerator is not a Kenmore is is an LG. I would have never bought an LG. We have always bought all of our appliances from Sears and always bough Kenmore. I will never buy from Sears again or buy a Kenmore. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance and the repair of one. Please, look and see who the actual manufacturer of your appliance is and know that Sears will be in no hurry to fix it.

The technician had to order a part and it took a long time for it to arrive. The washing machine functions but now it makes a strange noise. I would hire again if I didn't have a choice.

He had the replacement part with him and replaced it right-a-way. He also vacuumed-cleaned the inside of the machine and work area. The work was properly done and the dryer was back to working order. The only drawback was the price. The part itself cost about $90 (which is itself very expensive). Standard diagnosis fee was about $80 for coming out to check irrespective whether the customer decides to have it repaired or not. Another $90 was charged for installation of the heating element which was very easy to install and the technician had already opened up the machine for diagnosis which has already been charged.

It was fine. They called me when I responded to the email. Gave them a time to come. They came on time. Vacuumed out the dryer. Showed me things that I could do to keep you appliances running well. Since them I have been running a cleaner through my washer and dish washer. Since them I have not had to have them come back out mainly because the told me what to look for. It was a little special deal.
