Working with Ken is so pleasant and professional. He responds quickly to calls for help, gives reasonable and quick estimates of the work and will actually charge you less than he estimated if he feels like it didn't take as long as he'd anticipated. This is pretty unheard of! If it's something he can't tackle he will find the right person for the job (roofer, electrician, etc.) and make sure it gets done correctly. He is incredibly honest and trustworthy. He has access to my house and is careful not to let the pets outside. He's had the same core crew for many years. His craftsman-like carpenter, Richard, and meticulous painters are quite outstanding. It is a pleasure doing business with Ken and Schraer Construction Company. I recommend them without hesitation!

It went well. David Schraer is honest and trustworthy. We have worked with him and his family for many years. He did everything he said he would do and made sure little touch-ups were handled promptly.

The repairs to the walls were excellent and the work timely. The painting was not good. We had to call them back and ask to clean up the wood floors that were painted and repaint several parts of the house as they only painted with one coat and the previous color was seeping through. We still have spots in the house that are not painted and can't seem to remove all the paint on the floor. The light fixtures don't work and now will need to find an electrician to fix. When we had them come out to fix the painting, it felt as though we were creating a burden. We have decided not to call again.

Ken Schraer responded within a day or two to come by and give me an estimate. He told me it would be several weeks before he could start the job because he was very busy, and that it would take approximately 3 or 4 days to complete. Within about a week he called and said he had a previous scheduled job that had to be delayed, and that he could start on my job within the next week. His worker showed up on time every day and worked steadily. Ken came by several times each day to check on the work. The job was completed on time and on budget. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of Ken and his worker. I would definitely use Schraer Construction Company again.

I've used him for all types of work in the past. He does very good work. They are very neat and are clear about exactly what will be done. They aren't the cheapest, but you get your money's worth.
