Very well. The work was done quickly and for a very reasonable price.

What I needed were the correct pieces, and this is what Schnoabel's had. One of the staff said he'd be happy to do the work, he was the "lamp repair" guy. I ended up doing it myself so I can't talk to his work, but, they do have a broad selection of parts, and onsite expertise. Good luck!

Very professional. Very fast turn around. Diagnosed the problem and got it fixed in a hurry. Its just that they did a good jump with two lamps I'm having trouble with, two very old lamps.

They were quick, efficient and the cost was very reasonable.

Though in this instance, Schnabel's didn't have what I needed, it's my go-to place for hardware. I love the fact that it's independently owned and a neighborhood store. Its prices are no more than the big-box stores, the clerks know their stock and the needs of the customer, and it usually has what I need.

Schnabels is a great hardware store in the tradition of small hardware stores. Staff is pleasant and always helpful. I was looking for a replacement pot lid and could find a suitable one in the big box stores. While looking at Schnabels, a staff member offered to fix the lid for me. It was ready the next day. Very good experience.

We went to Schnabel's today to see how the local hardware store is doing. The staff greeted us at the door, were very helpful and knowledgeable. They carry most standard items you would need for a DIY project around the house, and will also do some repairs there as well. Plus they carry lots of neat odds and ends. Today they had some homemade jams, handmade wood pens and wine stoppers, etc. My kids love to go b/c they also sell ice cream. :)

I purchased a pair of Stiffel lamps at an auction. One diffuser was missing. One of the lamps had had the brass on-off switch replaced with a ugly brown/black composite switch. I wanted it changed to look more like the original. I felt like both lamps needed rewiring and a general overhaul to be sure they were safe to use.

My husband and I dropped the lamps off one weekend. We discovered that Schnabel's had diffusers in stock and at a better price than the ones I located online, particularly after shipping costs, so took one home with us that day. I got a call the end of the same week that the lamps were ready. When we picked them up everything was in order. The on-off switch was replaced with one that was remarkably similar to the original on the other lamp. The lamps were very sturdy to begin with and now I feel like they are safe to use as well. They have been in use in our living area since we brought them home.

I have used Schnables Hareware for years. An old fashioned hardware store in the good sense of the word. It's great to be able to run in and out when you just need one or two things as opposed to Lowes or HD where would spend an hour finding a parking place, find the item, pay and find your car again. Also there prices are very good- I paid half the price that Lowes wanted for a glass window pane and HD doesnt even cut glass anymore. Also you can buy nuts, bolts, screws individually instead of buying a whole box if you just need a few.

See above. In addition, we have a home that was built around 1917 and was restored by the previous owner. Some of the hardware/hinges/door seals, etc. are sort of old specialty items that they always have or can get.

Courteous and knowledgeable. Excellent service from a great neighborhood hardware store. This store has all the parts you would need for almost any home repair and personal service, too. Highly recommended and I will be back as I have three more lamps to repair.
