Daryl was prompt and very thorough job. He spent plenty of time at the property and my husband walked with him for the whole inspection. Daryl explained everything and did just a fabulous job for us. He also provided a very detailed report -- by far the best home inspector we have ever used!

This was the 2nd time using their services.  The 1st time Darryl found way to many costly fixes for my liking, we did not close on that property.  2nd time around different property, knowing how in-depth his inspections are I felt in good hands to make a sound dissension to purchase this property.  To say least his knowledge and background inspecting properties is outstanding very friendly and points out the good and bad.

Darryl was prompt, professional, organized, and very thorough. Although we haven't received his report yet, the inspection and summary discussion was outstanding. He is very systematic and detail oriented. Our realtor shared that not all inspectors are certified to inspect for wood destroying insects and sprinklers like Darryl. With his competitive rate, we really got our money's worth. Teresa also was fabulous and so responsive to arrange for the service and payment afterwards. What a fantastic team.

The inspector, Darryl,  was prompt, courteous, and professional.   He conducted a very thorough inspection and he paused throughout the inspection to point out things and to answer our questions.   He was adamant that he was working for us, the persons that ordered the home inspection, and not for the seller or the realtor.  While this may sound obvious, he was not swayed by the realtor that was present who tried to discount some of the findings so that we would purchase the home. 
At the conclusion of the inspection, Darryl sat down with us and went through the entire inspection findings with us and patiently answered all of our questions.   The thoroughness of his work and findings provided us with a much, much better picture of the condition of the property.    In the end, we chose not to purchase the home as we felt the deficiencies with the home would require too much time and money to address, even if the seller took care of everything. 
So, we are looking at other homes and I will use San Antonio Home Inspectors again when I find the right home.

Set up the appointment with Teresa, who was very nice. I was able to pay, over the phone, in advance. Darryl arrived, on time, and my husband walked through the inspection with him. He explained everything as he went, answering questions. After he was finished he went over the highs and lows with my husband, and even spoke with other family over the phone. He was very polite and professional. The full report, complete with photos, was provided the very next morning. Very pleased with their service and will definitely hire them again.

They were very thorough on the two inspections that I had done and documented everything. I received the report the next morning. They were very courteous and professional.

This husband and wife team are amazing! Teresa is HILARIOUS, it's great to be able to get thing done with a laugh. Darryl the inspector is a really great guy who encouraged me to follow him through the inspection and ask unlimited questions. For a first time home buyer this was great. When the inspections were complete he provided me with a very detailed report right down to less than quarter inch tears in window screens. They're great. Just great.

Darryl was the Inspector and he showed up on time, he was already at the property when my husband and I arrived,.
He did a very thorough inspection of the home. He took us around and showed us everthing he was talking about and explained everything to us. Making it all so simple to understand. He educated us on alot of stuff and provided advice for things to wacth for in the future or what type of materials to use for certain upkeep on the maintenance of the house. He was amazing. He was very knowlegeable and easygoing. His inspection was very detailed. The Inspection report was provided to us at 7 am the next morning. Ms Teresa was just as great. She was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. She booked our appointment and handled taking the payment and emailed the completed inspection report over by email to me and my agent the very next morning. They also gave us a military discount. I defintely recommend these two and would use them again if ever needed.

We hired Darryl to do a home inspection on a house we were in the process of purchasing.  He arrived on time, was friendly and professional.  He talked to us about what he was going to do and welcomed us to ask any questions we had.  He was very thorough and explained in detail any concerns that he saw.  He also pointed positive things as well.  We were aware of foundation repairs that had been done to the house and during the inspection there were some red flags that indicated there might be more problems.   We are definitely hiring Darryl for next inspection as our home buying journey continues.

Darryl was punctual and provided easy to understand explanations to issues he had found during his inspection.  He appeared highly professional.  I would definitely rehire Darryl.  

Daryl did a great job.  He arrived on time and got right to work. As he found issues he took the time to explain the situation in layman's terms we could understand. He was very thorough.  We received his report the next morning before 9:00 AM.  His wife Teresa handled our initial call very professionally and set our appointment. We would definitely recommend San Antonio Home Inspectors their pricing was reasonable, and given the excellent service a great value.

It was an excellent experience.  Darryl is professional, knowledgeable and a very nice person.
  
He arrived for all three inspections on time.  He invited me to walk through the inspection with him.  He was very thorough and carefully explained everything in terms I could understand.  He pointed out all deficiencies as well as some good things the builder was doing.  A builder's representative was present for each inspection and Darryl interfaced with them very well.  He was able to talk to them about deficiencies without being confrontational.
As I said earlier, he was very thorough.  On the foundation inspection, he walked the whole project.  He checked the forms and bracing.  He climbed into the beams to check plumbing, slab tendon, and rebar location.  On the framing and final inspections he checked the roof, the attic and the whole house, both inside and out.  He checked electrical outlets, He checked shower, tub and sinks for proper operation and drainage.  He inspected all appliances for proper operation, even down to checking the oven for thermostat accuracy.  He checked the HVAC system and duct work, including the air temperature at the outlets.  I was very surprised at the extent of this inspection.  I had done what I thought was a very thorough inspection myself, but he found many things I overlooked or did not understand the significance of.  On each inspection he sent me a detailed report, which I forwarded to the builder.  
 I had to reschedule the final inspection twice, as the house was not ready.  His office manager was very flexible and understanding and rescheduled with no problems.  I will definitely use San Antonio Home Inspectors again for the one year warranty expiration inspection.

Darryl was on time and very easy to work with.  We are building a home and wanted to bring in our own inspector at certain stages to make sure that the home is being done properly along the way.  Our builder knew of this from day one but waited until the very last minute to let us know it was time to get an inspector in (Friday before a Monday drywall installation).  Luckily, SAHI answered the phone promptly and even offered to do the inspection the next day (on a Saturday!) so we could get this done before it was too late.  Big relief! We are not only buiding a home for the first time but this is actually our first home ever, so we had tons of questions.  He was very nice and didn't mind going over all the details and answering all of my questions as we walked through the entire house.  He noticed things I would never think to look for and I am so glad we hired him!  I definitely plan to hire him again for the next/final inspection before closing.

Darryl was exactly on time. I cannot say enough about how thorough and well done this inspection was. We followed him like puppies the entire duration of the inspection and he explained every single thing he found. Not only did he explain it, but gave us ideas and suggestions to boot. We have a great to do list now, and it was well worth sticking by his side the entire time. We really feel like we know the house inside and out now and feel confident about what the house needs.
He also did a termite inspection, sprinkler system inspection and a pool inspection.
I give him an A++++++++ and will use him again if the need ever arises and will definitely recommend him to anyone in need of this service.
