Mickey came out to repair the stove, noting that two switches needed to be replaced as the burners were stuck on high. He ordered them, and after rescheduling to a Saturday, came to fix them, saying it would take about 30 min. We had family over, planning to use the kitchen, but since he estimated it would take 30 min, I had him come. It took him 2 and 1/2 hours. Clearly he was struggling with the switch replacement, which he attributed to the switches looking "different". When he turned them back on, one of the burners burned out within a minute. He told me the other one worked fine, but he needed to order another switch to replace the broken one. The next morning I used the burner that he stated was working, and it also burned out within one minute of being turned on. When I let him know, he said he would be by the next day to check on the burners, which had worked fine before he was hired. He never came the next day, and when I called, he told me he didn't feel well. I called and texted him every day for the next two weeks, with no response. I ended up hiring another company, who informed me that the switches had not been wired correctly, which caused both burners to burn out. The repair ended up costing me $900, which was over $600 more than it would have cost to replace the switches correctly. Mickey eventually called back, and told me he was out with Covid. The day after he spent two hours in our kitchen with my stroke survivor husband and immunocompromised son nearby. Not only was he not vaccinated, he told me this was the second time he has had it, and tried to to convince me why the vaccines were bad. As a physician, I almost lost it. He then tried to tell me that he did nothing wrong when he installed the switches, despite the fact that both burners were burned out within a minute of turning on the switches. He was very defensive and inappropriate. Not only did he cause more damage to my stove, costing me over $600 more to repair, he risked the lives of my husband and son. I have no hope of recouping any of the additional money that it took to repair my stove, but wanted to warn others of the extremely poor service I received.

The service itself went pretty well. The guy came out and looked at the fridge. He said it was a thermocouple and ordered the part. I was going out of town in 2 days so I said I could install it for him so he didn't have to come back. I was charge just under $100 for about 30 min (not sure if that price would have included the return visit for the installation or not). When it arrived, I installed it and put everything back together and it seemed to work. I was out of town for a few weeks and my inlaws stayed at the house. The fridge didn't have any problems while they were there. After about 3.5 weeks, the temperature started to rise again (coils in the back keep freezing). Now is basically cycles between 38 and 60 deg (fridge is in the garage). I called San Antonio Appliance Repair, LLC just before the 30 days was up. I got a call back the next day, but missed the call. I return the call on the 3rd day. I waited a few days and didn't get a call back. I called again. Then after another week, I called again. This time they answered the phone. I didn't catch the guys name who was on the phone, but he asked for the date of my service. I didn't know it off of the top of my head. I said I could find the email receipt. He was adamant about them only providing paper receipts and blew me off as if they didn't do the service. 30 min later I found the email I received from them with the receipt for $96.23. Even later than that I also found a paper copy. I texted picture of both to him. He responded and said he would look into it. Not it has been another 3 days and I haven't heard anything from them. I have texted him several times asking for an update. All I wanted was them to come back out and look at the fridge again. I didn't say anything about not paying or being unhappy with their initial service. I don't blame them. It could have been a bad part. It could have been that there was more than one thing wrong and I installed the part, so how would they know. BUT, now they won't even return to finish the job. Very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and at this point I am unhappy enough that I am taking the time to write this. If they decide to make things right, I will update this post.

Juan quickly diagnosed the problem. He left to get a new drain hose and returned quickly because the parts place was not very far away. I do not receive a receipt with a breakdown between part and labor. I do not know what an hourly rate should be.

We called listed number, dispatcher took our info. Victor called back 15 minutes later from a different number. He arrived 90 minutes later. He was afraid of our dogs. He made us put them in the back yard before he would come in. He was cocky, said "I know what I'm doing" when I tried to tell him what we had done to trouble shoot the problem. I asked him if he wanted us to call someone else, because of his attitude, but he said he would work on our range. He identified the problem, and went out to his truck for 20 minutes, then returned to quote us a price of $327 to replace the motherboard, which can be purchased retail for $103 at any parts supplier. I asked if he could just use the existing overlay, but he appeared reluctant "You know, things happen" and so I agreed to spend $27 additional for a piece of plastic film with some adhesive backing that costs $25 max if you order it retail. He was gone for two hours, came back with a part that was shipped express, put the overlay on the new circuit board, undid four screws, and put in the new circuit board, charging us $363 that included at least $230 of labor, which is exceedingly excessive. He wouldn't leave the old part with us. His invoice was not itemized, and did not have a business address, just an 800 number, and the business name was "Appliance Service." Obviously, this is an outfit that hires technicians who mark up their services at an outrageous level, and who get to keep as much as they can get away with. Given that Victor was curt, rude, unprofessional, and out to gouge us for all that he could, I would never ask for Victor again. But we will never use this company again! We can get the parts for cheaper, and do the work ourselves, and that is what we should have done this time. His refusal to even try to use the old overlay is what shows how much contempt he has for his customers. The online videos show how to do it, and it isn't that hard a job. It just takes a little patience. It's the kind of thing that a person who cared about his customers would do. San Antonio Appliance Repair LLC clearly doesn't care about customers. I'm surprised Angie's List gave us their contact information. We would never have used this company if Angie's List hadn't suggested them to us. We would have done better just picking a name out of the phone book at random. Thumbs down to Angie's List for recommending these sharks!

I have heard of another company that uses our name of San Antonio appliance repair that has a person named Victor that works there but that is not our company you may call our office at 210-374-5977 if you have any questions we answer our phones directly from this office and I am the person you would always talk to you or Kim in the office do we don't use a third-party phone answering service at all whatsoever"

Did diagnostics and potentially identified the issue. It is in a Motorhome and while I perceived them capable To make repairs I decided to take it back to the dealer and have them perform the maintenance under warranty.

The tech was very helpful. He explained that the detergent I have been using for yrs was clogging the hoses thus sending an error code that the issue was with a drain pump. I was prepared to replace it. My tech showed me how to use vinegar to clean the gunk left from the detergent. So eady & now my washer is running great. Thank you for being honest & helpful!

"We have a 30 warranty on our service call and labor charges. We also give a 1 year warranty on all parts we install. If you do not call us to let us know that you still have an issue with your refrigerator then it is difficult for us to honor that warranty. We have not received any communication from you thst there is still an issue. Please call our office at 210-374-5977 so that we can resolve your issue."

Super positive service. Came to check my dishwasher the same day I called. Technician explained everything. Because of the cost of replacing the burnt out control board on my dishwasher, I opted not to have it fixed and will instead just replace it. All I was charged was a very reasonable service charge. Would definitely hire again.

My refrigerator was leaking water. I called 3 service providers. I picked Mickey because I thought he provided the most honest responses to my questions. He actually tried to help me without any commitment of a service call. He repaired my refrigerator quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price. I called Mickey a couple weeks later when my dishwasher stopped working. Once again, he patiently answered questions? Unfortunately, the dishwasher was not worth repairing. When I purchased my new dishwasher, I had Mickey do the install vs. the Lowe’s contractor. I prefer consistency in service providers and I trusted Mickey would do the install right. Both appliances are working perfectly.
