Wow! Highly recommend this company. When our 25 year old AC unit bit the dust, their service tech confirmed we needed a replacement unit. After the service tech gave us his evaluation we met with sales rep. Mike who took lots of time to explain many options and recommendations. He visited with us a long time (after normal working hours) and answered all our questions. The prices were very reasonable and we felt very confident in our decision. After making our decision, they initiated financing and scheduled the install all within a 24 hour period. Super fast, super easy and we are super happy. The install crew was awesome! Ralph, Charlie and Will are very experienced, very professional and just great people to work with. We will never use anyone else.

They were very good. I would not recommend them because the cost on heating was too high but the price on repair was not. Pricing can be very high compared to other places to repair an unit. They came out right away. They were very available and good.

Most people do not understand how heating and cooling systems work. It's quite easy to be taken advantage of if you don't or know anyone that does. Car mechanics have a bad reputation. AC techs are even worse in my opinion. Especially when the techs get a percent of the billing which I am led to believe is the case here from a conversation with their second technician after he tried justifying the high prices to afford his tools. Maybe they just have a high hourly rate but I didn't get that impression from it. First tech said he couldn't diagnose our system because it was frozen inside the evaporator coils. They would have to come back tomorrow. They could have just turned on the furnace and the pump would dispose of the water. He didn't even try. The system was already off for several hours. They charged us for the visit and said another tech will come out the next day, to which he was of course several hours late. Next tech was even worse. He said he couldn't put a gauge on my line since it was raining. I couldn't believe it. He used his freon leak detecting wand inside and just hovered it over my evaporator coil box while it was closed. That's not how you find a freon leak, yet he wanted to bill me again for finding a leak. Evaporator coils are not a small part yet he wanted to just replace the entire thing despite never taking off the door, never using his wand to find the general location of the leak and then using leak detector fluid to pinpoint the location. This is how you find a leak in order to fix it. Most likely it will be at the txv valve, which can be replaced by itself(or even just the weld) and not the entire coil, thus saving you a huge amount of money. This company will also continue to call you, even after you refuse their suggested work. They will call and act like you have an appointment setup for maintenance on your system, despite never signing up for such an event. They will even tell you the date that it is setup for, like someone in your household arranged it. If you have more than one person living in your household, this can be quite confusing. I would have forgotten all about writing this review if it wasn't for that phone call.

Tech told me I was low in freon (I wasn't) quoted a price on a capacitor which was the wrong one, Said my coil was beyond repair (once again it was not). Called a salesman over who quoted me a price of 14k to replace my system and wrote none of the information of which systems he recommended and when I called him the next day had no idea what systems he had recommended, which, I think after a quote of 14k I think he'd have recalled only 8 hours later. I called another company for a second opinion (Texas Air Repair) and I didn't show the repair invoice from SA air until he had inspected the system he showed me the freon readout which was fine, showed me the part # from my original unit and reviewed the coil info in the attic. I went with SA Air as the unit had been purchased from an earlier company that had been bought out by them and I had trusted the earlier owner of my house and figured he knew what he was doing. I didn't give a failing grade as they did come out quickly and did not charge me for the service call, I guess they figured they'd make that up with a new system installed. I now know how important second opinions are.

Ken acknowledged that the quote I faxed had been in our file for over six months, they just never bothered to respond to my questions in December.  Ken told me he could quote a new unit but would not match the price or do anything about the fact that we had clearly overpaid.  The most they will do is fix the pad that that should have been corrected before the last two units were installed.
In the last 16 years they have replaced all three air conditioner/heat pump systems in our house, and this was the second time this unit had been replaced by them.  We have also hired them each year to clean and maintain the units.

He said the letter requesting warranty payment was just a mistake but acknowledged they had done nothing to notify customers who had paid for warranties that the letter was sent in error.

I don't like being overcharged.  I don't like working with a company that doesn't value me as a customer.  I don't know if I will use them going forward since we have been overcharged and ignored in the last year and a half.
