All the Protection One people could not have been more helpful and professional. It is a complicated story, but they really went above and beyond to help me out of a mess. I have had Protection One as my alarm company since about 1996, but in May of 2012 I fell victim to scammers from Pinnacle Alarms who swooped in and de-installed my Protection One equipment, falsely promising that if I switched to Pinnacle my rates would never go up. When I realized I had been scammed by Pinnacle, I called Protection One and they spent an unlimited amount of time helping me and coaching me on how to get my money beck from Pinnacle and how to undo the damage done by Pinnacle. I believe Protection One customer service went above and beyond to help me. On top of everything they did to help me, Protection One gave me a $400.00 longevity discount to upgrade my system to a cellular based unit. (They gave me a $499.00 package for $99.00!) It is hard to put into words just how good Protection One was/is to me. I am very happy Protection One is my alarm company and I will not make the mistake of switching to anyone else again. Their monthly fees may be higher than others, but they provide superior, wonderful and excellent service.

John Bury was our salesman. Very professional and came out during the installation to make sure it was done as we wanted. They're a bit pricier than some, but very well worth it. Every time we have called we have been treated by true professionalism and wonderful courtesy. Love them!

Their service technicians were very helpful and knowledgeable about the product; they fit me with the right system. I will use them again in the future.

(02/07/2010) Company installed a system in my house a dozen years ago and we paid about $80 a month since then for monitoring (main house and guest house). About a year ago, we discovered that the alarm had been disconnected when telephone work was done at our property and Protection One gave us no notification that there were any problems with the system. Then, after we replaced the system, it took two months for the company to halt the monthly monitoring deductions from our account. But, only one of the deductions was stopped--the other continued for several months after that until I noticed it on our bank statement. If a monitoring system can't detect when the system has been disconnected, what good is it? UPDATE (03/25/2010) In spite of repeated phone calls, I am still being sent monthly bills, even though I stopped services in July or August. The awful experience continues in spite of my efforts to stop it.

They had the best price and offer compared to other companies, but their follow up is a little slow.

Protection One comes out when we need them and repairs are included in the service. We've used them for 30 years, and we've had no false alarms unless we set something incorrectly. We're quite pleased with their service.

Protection One does a very good job. The guys that installed our system were very polite and respectful in our home. They do regular tests to make sure everything is working properly. We are very happy with their service.

Protection One is very good to work with. They are very nice and polite people. I do feel that they are the cheapest place around this area. I have been very happy with their service as I have not had any accidental set offs, and they are always very happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Protection One does a good job. We are very happy with these guys. Our home was broken into, and the people got away with a lot before the police showed up. The company paid our deductible on our insurance. That was just great.

Their representative arrived on time and was very thorough on his instructions. He walked us through the process of arming and disarming. He left once we were comfortable and felt we could use the system on our own.
