They do good work but it is a little expensive. It take 5 or 10 minutes to be seen. They are polite and professional.

There are not enough words to properly describe what Pets First means to us. We have 4 dogs (and a parrot) and Dr G. is incredible with each of them. She is knowledgeable, professional and LOVES what she does and it shows. I could not imagine going to another Vet.
The ladies at the front counter are wonderful! Fun, approachable, professional and deliver stellar Customer Service. They are excited to see the pups and remember who they are (and us too).
I am thankful someone referred me to Pets First, there is no better place.

We had to have our dog put to sleep, and it needed to be done somewhat at the last minute. I called Pets First as Dr. Neis had seen him several weeks before - we just moved here and did not have any vet set up yet. They were able to work in an afternoon appointment with her on the same day. When we arrived, we were immediately taken into a room away from others, and the entire procedure was explained to us in a very caring way. The staff could not have been better or more understanding of what we were going through. Needless to say it was a very sad time, but they took good care of us. Dr. Neis completed the procedure and helped us through it. We were allowed to be in the room with him for some time afterward, then they took good care of him. They arranged with the crematory service to have all that taken care of, and we picked up his ashes several days later. I cannot begin to thank the doctor and the staff enough for all they did and how they handled this process for us. They are now our go-to vet clinic in our new hometown! First class service.

I have been going here a long time. They take good care of my animal. It is easy to get an appointment.

The practice is good. All of their help that is behind the desk and filling up papers and taking your money, those people care about your dog. They are very conscientious people.

The first time, they were so thorough, and the vet spent a hung amount of time with my dog. He also spent 20min on his eyes. When Dr. Meadow wasn't sure the tests were correct, so he ordered a retest. I was very happy with him.

The were expensive, but very good.
When I went back for one year test, and recommended a eye specialist for my dog. This was referred by Dr. Wright.

Of all the vets I have gone to, no one has done a better job.

They are really good with scheduling. They are all super friendly. They obviously like animals. They are really flexible if you have to get to work or anything.

We relocated to the San Antonio area and needed a vet to evaluate one of our Australian Shepherds front leg that she was limping on.

He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need or want, I asked for X rays. The vet took 4 and explained each one in detail to me
My dogs had no evidence of any bone or arthritis problems
I was advised to only give my dog meds when I noticed she was limping and not every day
We checked out quickly and were on our way home

I had an urgent issue with one of my cats, called Petsfirst, and they were able to see me the same day. Now they are my regular vet for all three of my cats, I have taken in all three, and seen three different veterinarians. The staff is all very very friendly. I received a thank you card from the first vet, I have used their website, which is very convenient, and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I am extremely impressed with their attention to detail, that is hard to find in any company. They call me before and after appointments, and I feel comfortable calling to ask additional questions after the appointments as well (if I forget instructions or don't understand instructions).

The update on vacinations was planned as well as a check on the progress in managing the food allergy. This veterinarian is very experienced and helped us identify what our dog was allergic to. The amount for the service includes a years worth of HeartGard heart worm protection. We are delighted with their service and professionalism.

Their charges were reasonable, neither high nor low. They were very average. That's what comes to mind. They were neither exceptionally good nor exceptionally bad. They basically took care of the service and that was it. Putting a pet down is never a pleasant experience, but that is not the veterinarian's fault. It's just something you try to forget.

We have used Pets First since adopting our Greyhounds over a year ago. Dr. Meadows used to be a veterinarian at a greyhound racetrack so he knows about the quirks of the breed. It's very clear that he and all of his staff go out their way to give caring, personalized treatment. During this visit we had to have their annual dental cleaning done. I called Pets First and they notified me that since February is pet dental month, they were offering discounts but most appointments were already filled. They called me back within 15 minutes because they had a same-day cancellation and were able to get my dogs in the same day. Both dogs got their teeth cleaned, which does require anesthesia, and all of their shots. They were a little bit tired since they had also been sedated, but their teeth looked great! Dr. Meadows even offered to help me get them both up into the car at the end of the day.
