We've been using them since we got to San Antonio in 2000. They come out on a quarterly basis and if they need to come back and re-treat, they come back and re-treat. When we had the house built, they came out and treated the house and they have come out every quarter since then. They need to come out and re-apply. As a matter of fact, I need to get them to come out to dust the attic because critters come in from the attic. We've been using them now for 17 years. This is the second house since we've been in San Antonio. We've been using them on this house ever since we moved into it in 2002. I mean, if you've been using someone for roughly 15 years. Pest control is pest control. What I look for in pest control is that they just don't do the inside, they do the outside. If you see something, a bug or whatever, then they will come back and re-apply and not charge you any additional money and they come out on a quarterly basis. I think once upon a time, when we first started it was $78, so it has gone up $20 in the last 15 years. That's not bad considering that they come out and they do the outside and the inside. A lot of people just say just come in and do the inside. Not me. We live against a big forested area. We have deer and skunks and raccoons and everything that come back up in our yard. It seems like when we spray, whatever goes next door and then when they spray, they come our way and if nobody sprays at the same time. We've got to have somebody that comes in here on a regular basis. They call my cell phone and ask what time I want to schedule it. I give them a time I'll be home. They have my cell phone number so they will call and tell me if they are running early or late. They know that I need to be here because not only do I want them doing the outside, I want them doing the inside. They put the little booties on their feet when they do the inside. They do every room and they will leave the little traps for you if you need them. It doesn't cost you any extra money. When they spray the outside of the house, they don't just take a little squirt gun, they hook up their truck. We have dirt dauber nests and we have a two-story house so they have the truck going and the next thing you know, it sounds like someone is high pressure washing the house. So they are knocking down dirt dauber and wasp nests and they are spraying the yard and they are spraying the fence. You have to keep your animals locked up if you have them so they don't get poisoned. We've been using them for 17 years because they do a good job and they are reasonably priced. I suspect if I wanted to find somebody $5 cheaper, I could probably find somebody $5 cheaper, but do I really want to get a stranger in my house for $5? Not at all. I know these people and I can specifically ask for somebody. People come and go and they have sent out people before that I thought didn't do as good of job and I'll call them up and tell them not to send that guy, to send Frank the next time and they will send Frank the next time. Or, I'll call them up and tell them I don't know who they sent, but he didn't do a very good job. You need to send Frank out here and you need to send him next week to do a better job. Then they send Frank the next week to re-do the whole thing and they won't charge me for it. There quality is like anything, if you don't do it right the first time, which you should, then they will come back out and make it right. We have them set up on account and they call me and tell me it's time for my thing. All I do is call them in and pay them when they tell me to pay. I actually have a friend that owns a salon business where he rents out suites to salon professionals and he asked me who I used and I told him who I used and he is actually having them do his salons now. So he has two buildings and I think one building has 26 suites in it and the other building has 31 suites in it. It's commercial and they do those for him now. He's real happy with them too. So they do commercial too. They've been around a long time. I know they do lawn applications too, like fertilizers for the yard, but since I do all that myself, I don't have them do that for me. But I know that they do that to.

I was billed for 6 units, but services were only performed on 4. Were it not for the complaints of my tenants, I would not have known they did not receive the pest control services being billed. My assistant attempted to resolve this issue with the company, but no satisfactory response until 6 months later when they attempted collection. Their customer service skills can best be described as rudimentary. The company claimed to have sent repeated invoices,( to a misspelled name at an incomplete address), that were never received. To Pest Shield's credit they adjusted the bill to reflect the units they purportedly serviced and were promptly paid. My regular pest control vendor charges almost half Pest Shield's going rate. I am a member of a tight-knit owner group that owns 174 rental units in a small neighborhood, all needing pest control among other services on an ongoing basis. Our small business owners exchange the names of honest vendors who provide excellence in their trade field, and owners also warn each other of those we find fall short of that standard. Our word of mouth referrals are highly valued by our vendors because we form a critical mass in a small geographic area of a few blocks. I have advised my fellow owners in the group of my unpleasant experience with this vendor. Marlene M

They charge $80 a quarter. We've always used them. They're a very good company.

The provider came out my home and services for insect control.  We continued to have NO relief from insects AT ALL.  I called them back and they ended up coming out about 2 more times.  The 3rd time I called and I wanted to cancel.....they asked me to please give them one more chance and if I was not satisfied I would get a refund and cancel our service.  Well I did and NO RELIEF again.  In the meantime they snuck out her for my quarterly service (when my initial visit was not even taken care of), so now they tell me they will WRITE-OFF my 2nd visit but can not refund me my money.  I recently had another company out here and after 1 visit......NO MORE PESTS.  This company did not honor what they told me.   BEWARE

Their Customer Service is horrible, they overcharged me, gave me wrong information to what was included in the price. Called them numerous times on two occasions I spoke to Jola who said a Manager name Kathy would call me back. That never happened. Was put on hold and disconnected. After back and force and never speaking to a Manager I've been told the overcharge will now be credited. No explanation, no apology just a lot of waiting on hold.

One reason I really like Pest Shield is because they have organic chemicals, which is important to me.  They do a great job, and I really like them.  I have been using them for 6 years.  We have to be a little more aggressive because we live in the country, and have field mice trying to get in.  I think the pricing is reasonable.  I definitely will use them in the future.

They are fantastic. I have been using them for a couple of years. I have an annual service agreement with them. They spray the inside, and the outside of my home. They are willing to do additional work if needed. Their efficiency and integrity, stand out for me. They call ahead to be sure we are available.

We have the pest shield system in our house, and we are regular customers. I did not have any dealings with them but my husband did. Their price is fair. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

Coordinating a visit is difficult; pricing seems very expensive. I'm looking for a new provider.

Scheduling appointments was easy, the central office just never communicated with the technicians. They did not communicate essential things like 'call 30 minutes out' so I could move the animals out of the way and open the gate to the property (the tech would usually call from the driveway), 'must be complete by 1pm' when I had to leave for work (they'd show up at 1230pm and the tech never had any clue). When they arrived, service was aceptable and effective. The technicians were all very good and listened to our problem and worked hard to fix it. I have no complaints about them. Whenever I called to speak to someone of authority, they either apologized and promised to fix it (which did not happen, I really wonder why I put up with this for 2 years) or they toally blew me off.

They are professional and reliable. So far I have not had any problems with them. The work they have done has been effective.

Our experience with Pest Shield was horrible. When I first had them come out to investigate my insect problem, they didn't even bother to examine the type of insect. In fact, the technician was more interested in picking up personal objects in my home (such as beauty products) and asking me what they were. I was so frustrated that I did some research on my own and determined the type of insect. The manager was called out to inspect our property and upon looking at the insect he said my assessment was incorrect. I insisted that I was right and he finally looked at the insect under the microscope and said that indeed I was correct in the first place. However, after several attempts by this company to correct the problem, it just kept getting worse. Needless to say, I have now switched to another company.

A system was set up in our walls where the tubes are pressurized so Pest Shield comes to recharge these in-wall units. They let us know before they're coming and consistently show up on schedule. They're very professional and do a great job. We haven't seen any bugs in between their visits. They charge per quarter.

WE HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR FOUR YEARS AND HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THERE SERVICE. THEY ONLY MISSED ONE APPOINTMENT, AND WORKED WITH ME IN RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. THEY ALSO GAVE ME A DISCOUNT AS TO KEEP ME AS A CUSTOMER.
