Estimate was quick, availability to have work done was only a couple days out and overall project of 180 feet of fence only took 2 days. Old fence was removed and they hauled it away from me. I'd recommend solely based on how quick the process was, and the quality of the fence was the cherry on top. Pecos Fence is my go to for fencing needs now.

Although Pecos was a little busy (it took two weeks for the fence to get started), the price was fantastic and the quality is great. The fence looks stunning, and my boss is very happy.

The rep told me he could reinforce or replace our fence and I could call the office the set up the contract.  I started calling on 30 Jul 2015 and got a date he was to come back and measure the fence for the contract. He was a no show. I called again 3 Aug, 6 Aug, 7 Aug, 14 Aug and 19 Aug. I spoke to him as well as the woman at the office. I was never given a reason for his multiple no-shows, but always told he would be there. He even offered to send me the contract by email so I gave him the footage. Guess what? I never got any email contract.

I finally re-checked Angies List reviews and found more recent, negative reviews. We got lucky that he never came back.

I originally had Pecos Fence build a replacement fence around my back yard in March 2008. The fence was completed in two days and began to fall apart within days. One corner of the fence did not have a corner post; it was simply 'toenailed' into existing 2x4 stringers; several of the boards were less than satisfactory, i.e. splits, knot holes, discoloration, etc. After i contacted the BBB with pictures, Pecos came out and did the repairs. A year or so later, warpage, shrinkage, and boards pulling away from the stringers, along with posts rotting, was evident. I called Pecos fence again, got the run-around, calls not returned, appointments missed, etc. Finally they came and made the repairs. Within the next two-three years posts rotted out, stringers had to be replaced, wood rotted and one section of fence blew down. I called to have them come and make the repairs, with the proviso that I would pay for them. They never came out to check out the repairs needed nor did they return my calls (In fact, they hung up on me twice when I insisted they get someone with some authority on the phone.) i ended up hiring another person to make the repairs and he replaced two posts and several boards. He noted that the posts were not set properly, i.e. there was very little concrete holding them up. This last week I called again simply to inform them that they could come and look at the posts i have replaced, the lack of concrete holding them, and the fence generally falling apart. I also informed Jesse that i was having another person make the repairs; he asked me to 'wait a moment' and a lady named Tammie came on the line. She was very apologetic and said she was the VP of the company and they want to please their customers, and their work is guaranteed; if it wasn't installed properly, they 'would make it right.' i explained that i was going to post my comments on Angies List and she said they would come out the next day to look at the fence and perhaps reimburse me, or make some arrangement. My point was not to have them pay for the repairs but to have them see the shoddy workmanship on their fence. i also offered to send them pictures which I did. As of today, I have not heard back from them, no acknowledgement they received the pics or ??. I have had a contractor at my house for five days working on repairs of this fence. He has replaced an additional five (5) posts, several stringers and many, many slats. He estimates he will be working an additional five or so days on this fence as he has several more posts and stringers to replace. There is no way I would ever use Pecos Fence and will not recommend them to anyone. I recommend homeowners stay clear of this non-customer service oriented company.

I obtained three quotes and Pecos Fence provided the lowest one but I primarily went with them because of a recommendation from my neighbor (whose fence from Pecos looked great). The salesman, Hector, was very courteous. After providing the quote Hector kept in touch with me by e-mail and telephone. The work took two days as promised and the fence is gorgeous. When digging the post holes for the fence, the workers noticed that the main supply line for my sprinkler system had been installed outside of my property line (partially on the vacant lot next door) by the sprinkler contractor. The lead worker, Jorge, made a point of notifying me so that I could get the sprinkler contractor to come back and fix the mistake.

On Monday, I spoke to Jesse about replacing a small section of fence. He said he would go by my house the next day on his way to work and look at it and then call me with an estimate. On Tuesday, the next day, I called him and asked for the quote. He said he told me Thursday but would have someone go to the house and look at the fence on Wednesday. On Wednesday I called him and he said he was waiting for the guy to finish and would give me a call with a quote.he also told me that they would be able to do the job on the upcoming Saturday or Monday. On Thursday, the first time I called Jesse said he was with a customer and would call me back in 20 minutes. Two hours later I called him and he said he was waiting for his boss to get out of a meeting and approve the quote. He took my email address and said he would send it to me, hopefully by 5:00. On Friday I calls and Jesse was out. I asked to speak to someone else and was transferred to Hugo. He told me they Jesse was having an MRI and was not reachable. I explained the job and Jessie's statement that the job would be done on Saturday or Monday. I was concerned because I had no quote and the job was supposed to be done possibly the next say. Hugo told me he didn't know why Jesse would lie to me like that (his exact words) but they were all booked up and could not do the job that soon. He didn't offer to have Jesse call me or send someone out for another estimate.

I called to get an estimate for fence removal and installation of a new fence. Pecos Fence was very responsive and polite and was able to provide the estimate over the phone, which I thought was a little strange, because they were going strictly off the measurements I provided. Anyway, they were very professional and courteous. I did not hire Pecos Fence because we decided not to the do the job after all. I would definitely call them again in the future if I need another estimate.

The wooden fence I share with 3 other neighbors was over 20 years old. Mr. Mendoza answered my call and came the very nixt day to give me an estimate. I had 2 other estimates and his was the lowest. I contacted one of my neighbors to discuss in hiring Pecos Fence for his services. It took a few weeks before they were able to come, they came late one afternoon after finishing a prior job , while they were working a thurderstorm interrupted their work. They completed the job the following morning in few hours. I was impressed and I am very pleased how professional the crew was and comment on Mr. Mendoza in mailingl separte invoices to each of the neighbors included in this project. Would I choose them again? Yes, I would as well would hightly recommend them to my friends.
Thank you, MPR

Once we have the work actually completed on our fence, I will be able to advise whether the quality of work makes up for the horrible customer service.

I was excited to have them out b/c I heard Trey Ware advertise for them on KTSA radio. Unfortunately, I've never heard another thing from them. I haven't bothered to call them. The way I look at it, I'm not going to make follow-up calls. If I have to beg for the estimate I can only image how poor the service may be if we actually have an issue during construction.

The job was a disaster from the beginning. The company provided the lowest estimate of the three companies contacted. We were advised that the job would take two days. We had an inground pool which they put a temporary fence around. The crew was scheduled to begin about 0800 on a Wednesday. At 1000 I called the company and we were advised that they had to finish another job and would arrive around noon. They were subcontacts and the company had no control over their scheduling. At about 100 PM four individuals arrived and shortly there after three left. One individual removed most of the old fence during the next five hours and later the other 3 individuals arrived to take down the rest of the fence. The old fence was stacked in the front yard. On Thursday they put the new posts in and later in the day they started putting the three boards between the post. On Friday they nailed the cedar boards on. I was not happy with the boards they were nailing on. Many of the boards were so knotty that if you just touch the knots they would fall out. The head contactor was told this was unacceptable and he went back to their yard to find less knotty boards. They replaced more than 90 boards. We were advised that they were finished and would pickup the old fence on Monday. This was totally unacceptable due to the hight stacks of old fencing and all the nails sticking out with children running around the neighborhood. I had to call the Owner to get the old fence removed. Since they only had a pickup truck this took some time. On Monday I called the owner to come out and look at the fence. He did not see any problems. I showed him the many knotty, split and crooked boards. He explained that their are different grades of wood and allegedly we received a lower grade. We were never told that we had a choice of grade. I told the owner that I had marked 204 boards that needed to be replaced and if they were not replaced he would not get paid. He agreed to replace the 204 boards which were still knotty. I advised him that I had received the companies name from Angie's list and was not happy with the quality of work. He advised "so what I am on many lists." Stay away from this company.
Response from Pecos Fence Co

"We take customer service and satisfaction very seriously. Yes, there were some problems with this project, which we took care of to the customers satisfaction as we received full payment last October. We have a one year material and workmanship warranty on all of our jobs and have not received any requests for any kind of warranty service."

I got quotes from Pecos and another fencing company. Pecos' price was less by about $300, and the pickets were 1/8 inch thicker than the pickets being used by the other fencing company. The pickets were also higher quality cedar wood. Once I signed the contract, they were able to start in under 1 week. The job they did was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend them if you have a fence in need of replacing.

I explained that it was not a big job and inquired as to whether he would be interested. I'd have understood and had no problem with it if they didn't want to bother with something that would take less than 2 days. However, he assured me he would be interested. I said I'd be home after 1:00 that day. He said he had a delivery to make at 12:00 but would come by after that. I never heard another single word from him or anyone at the company. No phone call, no nothing!! That was four weeks ago, which I think is ample time. I don't feel good about providing such negative feedback, but I wish I'd been warned that my business might not be worth the effort of pursuing. They probably do a fine job, but ignoring a customer is most unprofessional.

I received 3 estimates for the "ranch style" fence. Pecos was actually the highest estimate, but I decided to use them because of their great ratings here, on Angie's list. Jesse's crew exceeded my expectations. They started the job on the date I requested and finished 3 days past the scheduled finish date.
