What started off as a great experience turned sour real fast. I was referred to Fernando by a friend of mine that owns a BBQ store, and he was fast and responsive with the design and bid. I approved the work on April 12 and it started right away. We had our granite selection done on April 19, and that’s where it all stalled. After no contact for quite a while I sent him a text message asking about when they were returning and I was told that they would be by today (May 20) in the morning. After waiting at home all day nobody showed, no phone call, no text message. I asked him what’s going on and he’s now telling me that the granite is still being fabricated. Also we had French drains which were supposed to be built around and clear, but no care was taken and now the patio is flooding into the house. I messaged him about this and nothing was done. All we ask is that we receive honest communication, which just isn’t happening. Once the lies start it’s impossible to get back on the right path and now he’s in possession of my money, my grill/flattop/accessories and I have nothing to show except an uncompleted outdoor kitchen.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!! I’ve worked with many many contractors in the past and never have I had a company completely ignore me in the middle of a very expensive project like this. We gave them several thousands of dollars and as time went by communication became very minimal and it just got worse and worse. This is a husband and wife company so there are only two people to contact and two people to ignore your phone calls, texts, and emails. From broken time lines, promises and broken water lines that went without repair., it was a disaster. Workers not showing up as promised for weeks upon weeks. Construction materials left in messy piles outside to get ruined in the rain. Not to mention lots of excuses and just plain lies when I was finally able to get a hold of someone. We had no choice but to end our contract with Fernando and Rebecca Arriaga. They got our money, good for them. If you want to loose money and your mind, by all means go with them. I don’t know how they are still in business…

Fernando Arriago never completed the job. He scheduled for Sunday, May 29, 2016 because he had other commitments. We walked around my backyard. He rough sketched what my vision was and the materials. He said he'd complete his renderings within a week. He never returned or called me back. I have to admit that I never followed up also.

Scheduled appointment for Sunday, 29 May 16. If I'm correct, Fernando Arriaga was the one who came to my house and annotated everything I wanted. He told me I'd hear from him in a week or so. I never heard from him or this company again. I must admit, I should have followed up on this transaction and have past the date for using this deal. The best I could hope for is to receive what I originally paid.

I highly recommend Fernando. He is a very professional man and contractor. August 2016, Fernando redesigned our old kitchen deck to make it far more attractive and functional than the original. Fernando and his Crew did a great job; the worksite was safe and cleaned up at the end of each day, work was done on schedule and best of all there were no surprises on the final invoice. I am looking forward to working with Fernando to do some future projects for our home.

Fernando and his employees were very courteous, prompt, and professional. We were shown a computer virtual drawing to show how the project would look when completed. The work met our high expectations and was completed in a timely manner. We would recommend Outdoor Creations to friends and family.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE HIRING OUTDOOR CREATION!!!!! I hired outdoor creation (Fernando Arreaga) July 2016 to do pavers in my backyard, front porch, built outdoor kitchen and iron railing. He asked for 50% of the total money 2 weeks before starting the project and 25 % on start of the project, so I paid 75% of the total before staring. One of his staff damaged my front wall with black color and they partially cleaned it. He would not respond to text and phone call for weeks and months and try to resolve with Angie list, that did not work, I had to go to county dispute resolution center to resolve issue. He did not show up in there and ultimately I was about to file a complaint against with attorney general and he finally agreed to finish up the work. He did come in February to resume the work but again left with out finishing the whole job. I paid extra for the appliance that was not in the previous contract. I tried to contact him again and he never picks up the phone or respond the text. He did not put up the front railing, did not complete the pavers in the front, my barbeque island was leaking and was flooded inside, plumbing was leaking, the barbeque island was not completely finished. I had to hire a different person to finish up the work and had to pay extra $2000.00. So guys I went through a lot of unnecessary difficulties finishing up this project. Just think multiple times hiring him and even if you hire, do not pay him before he finish up the work.

I paid $99.00 on the Angie's List website and the owner of Outdoor Creations, a guy named Fernando, sent me an email informing me when he could come to my home to see what I needed him to do. By 11 a.m. of the appointed day (Feb.3 at 10 a.m.), Fernando had not arrived. I called him and he informed me that he had neglected to write it down on his calendar but agreed to come the next day. He arrived Saturday morning at the appointed hour and after checking out what I needed done, told me he would email an estimate for the work by the following Friday, Feb. 10. I did not receive any email that Friday or the next day. On Monday, Feb. 13, I spoke with him on the phone and received another apology and a promise that he would email his estimate no later than 5 p.m. that evening. That has yet to occur. I called again this morning (Feb. 17) but no one answered. This guy is nothing other than a con man whose word means nothing. Beware of this guy. He has no work ethic and is totally unprofessional. I hope Angie's List ceases to list Outdoor Creations and refunds my money. Art Flores

You stated to me at our meeting, that you have been burned by a contractor you hired and paid in full. And they never returned to finish the work. So now you think that every contractor is the same. We will not fix your leaky roof that was constructed by whom ever you hired! If you do your research on our company, we have 5 stars and A ratings ON CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE RECEIVED OUR SERVICES!!. so for you to be unhappy from work we never preformed is un fair! i wish you the best of luck!! "Hello [Member Name Removed], your review is not accurate. I missed our first appointment, and we rescheduled to a time that was after our hours of operation . I drove one hour to get to your property and you were not home! Your daughter answered the door and then called you on your telephone while i was in front of her. You told her that you would get back to me to reschedule because you were very far from the house. It is unfortunate that anyone can just write what they want on a review without Angies list following up or making sure it is accurate. My contracted ends with Angies list 03/01/17 for advertising . And i will not use them again to promote my company!! Angie's list is Horrible!!!!"

The project took less than a day, and Outdoor Creations was able to come up with a design that fit what I wanted, and incorporated my Brass house number sign I had ordered and install my lockable mailbox, in a way that it blended in with the stone mailbox stand they built.

The person showed up and after a month and continuous calls and emails only gave us the design for the back yard, to date we have not received the full design nor the cost to do the work.

I love the pavers and what they did but its starting to fall apart. I just need some repairs. I have been trying to get a hold of the company but there is a huge communication issue. They don't responded to my calls or emails.

I just had a pavers patio put down over partially existing cement patio, along with an additional pavers patio extension. Looks great, Fernando and crew did quality work. Very happy with end product.

Outdoor creation/ F. Arriaga came out did a drawing that looked nothing like the area he was to make over.claimed he took photos of the area and would contact me with the computer generated designs. I never received anything from him after our meeting.

In a word, horrible. Someone was sent to home in August 11, 2016 and as of September 25th, they have completely gone dark and won't respond to us. First the owner/manager (Fernando Arriaga) complained to us that the person who came to our house was too busy to follow-up with him to complete the design. Second, the "draft" design was crap and didn't have any of our design notes in it. And the "draft" took almost a month of us asking for it to get it completed. The owner even tried to get us to pay more for additional work saying the coupon was only for the first draft plan which wasn't even close to a plan. Following that, we gave him back very direct feedback including a "better draft" we created in Microsoft Paint in less than a day. The owner came to our house, reviewed our "better draft" and took some measurements outside stating he would have the plan back to us to review in less than a week. It's now been almost a three weeks later, and I can't get the owner to respond to any of my multiple emails. At this point, I just want my money back as I never received what I paid for. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

He answered and stated he had lost our plans. I told I was disappointed and he apologized and said he would bring them tonight. It wont be detailed but will give you an idea. I agreed and got nothing that evening. Two days later emailed. He replied that the plans were coming. I emailed a few days later asking and still nothing. I still have not heard from him and have no plans.
I still have gotten no plans and am out of $45.00. I would really like my money back from Outdoor Creations. I feel like I have been very nice and understanding. In the end I was really excited for this and now have nothing for the money paid and now lost. I would suggest not using this provider.

Still waiting!!! Bought the service on 26 August, had to call them to get someone to come out. It took two weeks to get someone to perform the evaluation. It's been a month...and still waiting on the bid!! Unsat!
