Open Locksmith

One of the draws had a key broken in it, the other we didn't have a key for it. The service call was $15 which was ok, but the man that came gave me an estimate of $150 to open the two draws. He said since they were hard wood it would take a lot of time to correct. I agreed because he made it sound difficult. He took a draw out from above one of the locked draws, punched the bottom out, knocked the lock out. He then went to the other draw and tried to pick the lock which didn't work. He then took something like a small crowbar, slid it across the top opening and it opened. He did all of this in less than 3 minutes. I was astonished! I told him he ripped me off because he knew that was all he was going to have to do. I called the office of the company and they confirmed that since that was the price I was quoted that that was the price I would have to pay. I decided that I wanted to pay with a check, instead of a credit card. When he saw that I was upset he told me I had to pay by credit card. I called the office again and confirmed that they do accept checks. He called his office and started speaking in a different language, hung up and said I have to pay by credit card. They called the bank immediately to have the funds withdrawn.

Company responded quickly and was on site at the schedule time.  Company was paid to install a certain type of locks, however the company installed an inferrior off brand lock that has malfunctiioned and had to be replaced.  I have contacted the company and have requested a full refund and am awaiting their review.
