Manicures/Nails
I went in for a shellac manicure and pedicure. I called ahead and gave them about a 30 minute heads up that I would be coming in and they said that it would be fine. When I came in they were pretty busy and I did end up waiting about another 30 minutes. I would have preferred that they would have just told me to come about 30 mins later than I had planned so I could have run an extra errand or two- but it wasn't too bad considering the short notice.
The manicure and pedicure experience was great. They took their time with the pedicure and really cleaned my feet up nicely. The shellac nail color looked a lot more pink on my nails then it did in the bottle so I would just give a heads up about that.
After my mani pedi I went to Hawaii for a week, where I was in the sand and salt water, as well as pools and hot tubs constantly. I also went kayaking and ziplinning and through it all, my manicure stayed almost entirely intact. I was amazed. I large chip came off my right thumb about half-way through the vacation, but other than that, there was only a minuscule chip here and there (barely noticeable by anyone but myself).
It was definitely worth the higher price for the shellac and the 85 I paid was including tip. It is suppose to last 2 weeks and I'm exactly a two weeks right now and it still looks pretty good, only issue now is that you can see where my nail has grown out. I wasn't planning on getting them redone but after seeing how well it holds up and how it seems to be helping my nails grow, I will definitely be returning in week to get the shellac manicure again.
