They did such a great job! I have used Mangold Roofing several times in the past on all types of roofing, Shingles, Metal Roofing and now Concrete Tile. The hailstorm in April 2016 damaged my roof, since my tiles were no linger made I needed a complete new roof. When the crew came out to replace my roof, they did a great job. They showed up on time every day, were very respectful and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves every day. No nails were left laying around or found in the street. I was the last house on my street to replace my roof and other roofing companies made my street a complete mess, every day I had to look in the street for nails and pick up their trash - but not with Mangold. There were no dumpsters or trailers parked weeks on end at my house like other roofing companies are doing. In fact 3 of my immediate neighbors told me they were very impressed of how clean and efficient my crew were, and how they wished they would have used Mangold instead. Larry Mangold is easy to talk to and has always made sure every detail was done to my satisfaction. My first experience with Mangold Roofing was 20 years ago, they were great then and are still great! I will only use Mangold Roofing for my roofing needs. Truly a great experience from start to finish.

We have used them in the previous years a few times and they have done great work. They did a good job.

RoaThis was a relatively small job for a company of this size, but they handled it as if it were a huge commercial endeavor.  Mangold installed the gutter and downspouts here approximately 20 years ago, and even tho the job was just a downspout repair, the entire staff at Mangold's was courteous, professional, and patient.  I cannot say enough about Nathan and all the rest at Mangolds.  They are a great organization and would and will recommend them without reservation.

I was deployed to Afghanistan, so my wife was on her own to deal with the crew from Mangold.  She thinks it was a sub, and they were abrupt, rude and patronizing to her (ladies take note).
Old roof removal: the Mangold crew removed the old tar and gravel and basically let it drop where it fell.  We had gravel running down all our vents inside and all surrounding surfaces around the outside of the house had a buildup of tar, dirt, leaves and gravel which the crew did not remove. 
Installation: the Mangold crew installed all flashings backwards, so the first time it rained, we had water pouring straight into the house all along our back sun room and also into the living room.  To make matters worse, Mangold could not identify the problem nor patch the leaks.  Bottom line: non-leaking but old roof before the replacement, waterfalls in the house after the new installation.
Insurance claims: Since Mangold could not figure out that there was an issue, nor could they figure out how to make the repair, we had to hire a contractor as a consultant and file an insurance claim.  Two claims later, it stopped leaking inside when it rained.  We still have one last claim open due to persistent mold issues.  Claims included replacing insulation and sheet rock in numerous rooms and repainting paneling, ceilings and walls.
Recently, we have seen discolorations on the living room ceiling, so we called our insurance again. Our adjuster found a suspected leak, so we asked Mangold to come look at it under warranty.  They reported to find nothing and then charged us $150 for the trip. (Due to their past history of not being able to make reasonable repairs, we're not sure if the leak remains and will have to continue with insurance.)
Do not use Mangold.  If they make a mistake, you'll have to live with it for the life of your roof.  (Price above does not include $7000 out of pocket for items not covered by Mangold or insurance.)

If you live in San Antonio and are looking for a company to do work on your tile roof, these are your guys.  They did an excellent job on our tile roof and it's now been 6 months and not a single issue.  They use only the highest quality underlayment, which is not cheap, but lasts much longer than regular tar paper.  You can count on these guys to do a good job as well, they even repainted all of the vent pipes and other areas on my roof so that it would match the tiles, which looks much nicer.  I will definitely use these guys again for my tile roof work.  There are lots of companies that can do regular asphalt roof work, but if you have tile, these guys are the best around and you can trust them.

They are great. They replaced some of the broken tile. I knew it was going to be a difficult roof because it is an antique tile. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it. They are very reliable, they have a great product, they do a great installation, and they do quality work. The interaction with them was great, and the roof is looking great.

The professionalism from sales, crew, and ownership was the best experience in a long time. The quality of the craftsmanship and how they performed vs other companies is very different. They take longer to get the job completed, because they do all the little extras others do not. From cutting in the metal so there are no chances of leaks to custom molding gutters that are superior to anything out-there. The 18" standing seam looks amazing.

it gives you confidence that your home is being protected by a company whose only desire is to do the job right the first time. I think they are the best in San Antonio.

They were very good as far as if you had anything extra, they didn't mind. They took off all the gutters. We had a metal roof put on, and the leaf guard thing didn't work so right, and so they made them right for us. We had solar lights on the roof, and they are black pieces of stuff that come down, and we bought some paint so that they could match the roof, and they painted them for us without a charge. I didn't like one little piece of thing and they came back and replaced the section. They were responsive to anything you are not happy with.

With the recent high winds, we had one tile hanging (very heavy) off the edge of the chimney about 30 feet up. They were working in the area and dropped by 3 day after i called, I was really concerned for our safety, they removed it no charge. What a relief. We will hire them again in a heart beat.

They came the first time then after it rained it was still leaking so they came back.  It hasn't rained since then so hopefully it's fixed.  They were great.  We have a builder friend who uses them which is why we used them.  Then we looked them up on Angie's List.  The one main leak that they could find they were able to fix, it's the other one that was a mystery.   We never had a set time for them to come.

It went very well. Mangold did an excellent job and we would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

I was very pleased working with them. They have been good to their word. They had come back as they had to weather proof some place. There was still some leakage and they came back and fixed it.

Mangold Roofing did an outstanding job. They were on time and the quality of working was great. I have had no problems with the roof. I can't say how happy I am with the outcome.

Mangold Roofing did a really good job. We were really pleased with the finished job and also the courtesy shown to us while doing the job. The sun roof is really good looking and didn't take long to do. It only took a day. It doesn't leak around the edges and the placement turned out to be perfect with the light hitting in the right area. They were very professional in all manners and left only after cleaning up and getting our approval.

Mangold Roofing has a very dependable, professional crew of men who did a fabulous job on my roof. The men certainly knew there business and when they were finished with the roof every thing was cleaned up with a large magnet. The company does top quality work in a very efficient manner. Their prices are reasonable and we would recommend them to any one looking for a roofing company.

Mangold Roofing did an okay job. It doesn't leak. They did leave a mess around our house. Nails were left all over the place and the crew was very rude. It took them a long time to finish. The only reason that I would use them again is that the owner came out when I complained and got the place cleaned up and said that he would take care of the rude help.

After initial phone call, second was prompted for the guy to get back to me. After I got in touch w/ him it was w/in a week that the roof was repaired. They did a great job at a reasonable price.
