I would not recommend going in Lowe's for Appliances on Sunday or Sunday after church, and this applies to all of Lowe's

They sent workman out to measure the right size door. He needed other supplies to put door in. It went very well. The gentlemen was very nice.

Had some issue with the door as installed, which the rep came out and repaired twice (at no charge). The issue ended up being a faulty design detail in the door manufacture, which I eventually repiared by epoxying the tim piece at the top of the door to the door itself. Haven't had any issues with the door itself since.

I had someone else install the fan, but it has not been working well. They're telling me to return it to Lowe's and get another one. My complaint with Lowe's is that there's a cost for me to try to get someone to come uninstall the fan, take it to Lowe's and then reinstall it. They said going forward, I need to use their people for installation to minimize these issues.

Ron in kiitchen cabinets helped us design kitchen.  The order took a long time to come in but it did arrive on the date promised.  The subcontractor was adequate for install.  He did not finish off some molding as the design indicated so some trim pieces had to be modified and that was frustrating but the rest of the install was fine.

From the salesman to the installation it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Delivered 3 days after promise. Installed wrong. Needed installers to come back out and they no showed several times. Horrible!!!

We purchased a freezer from Lowe's after purchasing and returning a defective one from its competitor. While the price was higher, the freezer worked. We've learned our lesson about delivery. Pick things up if you can. It's more time-efficient

We had someone burglarize our place after breaking the front door and were pretty traumatized by the incident. The contractor sent by the insurance company would only install a similar door to the old door and dismissed our suggestions to find a way to strengthen the door. So we went to Lowe's at 1604 and Bandera to look at other options and found two nice gentlemen (Raul and Ted) at the doors department that took the time to talk to us on how we can prevent a break-in in the future. This made us choose Lowe's to come and install our front door and a security door in front of the front door.
The gentleman they sent to us (Mike) was extremely professional, courteous, friendly and was very thorough with the way he installed the doors. He took the time to install the door as close to perfect as possible. This was one person who believes in the saying 'Anything worth doing is worth doing your best'. We are extremely pleased with his work and with the way he conducted himself and would surely recommend the Lowe's door department to anyone.
Great job guys and thank you for making a stressful time a little bit better!

With the cabinets they were very helpful at the store and were a lot of help with planning.

With the doors I had a problem because they subcontracted out the installation. When I had trouble a year later, Lowes said I had to contact the subcontractor and they were gone.

.They have great service and products. They are very knowledgeable. The first Lowe's I went to didn't have the microwave I wanted so they found it at another Lowe's that had it and called them to hold it for me while I went to pick it up. They went the extra mile for me.

My husband and I needed to replace our old dishwasher. The saleman in the appliance department knew everything about every model dishwasher we were interested in. He was able to demonstrate basket levels, explain the differences between one model vs. another one, etc. This made our appliance-buying much more enjoyable. Let's face it, appliance shopping is dull at best. However, everyone wants to make the best choice for their needs. We decided on our model and purchased it. It was delivered on the day promised, and the installers were professional and curtious. They installed the dishwasher quickly, then took their time demonstrating and explaining how to operate it. We have purchased other appilances from Lowe's on Bandera/1604, and have always been satisfied with our experience.

Subcontractor came out and measured bedrooms, hall, one set of stairs. Estimate was outrageously overstated, by over $3500. They wanted over $1300 just to install 14 stairs. I got stairs done for less than $120. Lowes overall bid was $6400 plus and, as best I can tell, I got as good or better quality carpet from a local retailer with a good reputation for just over $2800, and he had a no-apologies handsome 60% markup! I know because I know another carpet retailer in another state, and he gave me his costs as a courtesy. I like Lowes, even tho their prices are higher than Home Depot, because their stores are clean and they take much better care of their inventory. But buyer beware--don't blindly assume they are giving you a fair deal, because they rely on subcontractors who can be ruthless.

I called Lowes to get an cost estimate to have our water heater replaced. While I do realize that this is not going to be an easy job (we've had this done before) because it is located in the attic, I don't think I should have to pay Lowes $35.00 to have someone come over to our house to give me an estimate. That also means my having to take additional time off of work just to get an estimate. When I called Home Depot, they were able to give me an estimate on the phone.

We purchased a Maytag Neptune washing machine from Lowes five years ago. This was a high-end machine that cost roughly $1,100. It conked out on us last week and we've been trying to get it repaired. The authorized service company (South Texas Appliance Repair) sent someone out here--but they said it'll take two weeks to get the parts. (Can you imagine going for two weeks without a washer?) So we called Lowes (where we bought it five years ago) and they are sending a "loaner" machine out here at no charge. IMPRESSIVE! We're still not happy with Maytag (the manufacturer), however. I guess the days of buying a washing machine and using it trouble-free for decades (like we did in the old days) are gone forever. We were on the phone with Maytag earlier today and had to ask for a supervisor because the woman wasn't understanding us. The guy we got (Frank E., badge number 5274) was demeaning and a smart aleck. All we wanted to know was if they had the parts in stock (again, because STAR told us it would take two weeks to get the parts for the repair). For instance, one thing Frank E. said was, "Do you think our parts people can memorize millions of part numbers?" Major attitude, this guy. When I asked him for HIS supervisor, he said there was no one else I could talk to. Then he said he was going to have to terminate the call because I was not being cooperative. Unbelievable. Bottom line for us: Deal with Lowes because they're good people. They'll help you in any way they can. But our advice is to steer clear of Maytag. They're trading on a good name from years ago; but believe me, their hardware ain't what it used to be. The stainless steel tub on our actually warped and burned out some bearings. Who ever heard of that? Interesting side note: Sears is no longer authorized for Maytag repairs. If they touch the machine, all warranties are voided. Wonder what happened there? Sears and Maytag used to be almost synonymous. This is frustrating because Sears has the parts and said they'd come out and fix it. But Maytag says they're not authorized. Bummer.
