Appointment time set for 7pm they called saying they would be late. Showed up at 8:30pm with two small tired guys and only one dolly. They said no way they could handle the job. We tentatively rescheduled. I found someone else the next day.

The closing on our home got pushed back 3 times each time I had to call and reschedule with the moving company. The company was easy to work with on rescheduling. The movers arrived on time, and were polite, courteous, and delicate with all of our belongings would highly recommend.

The charged us twice.  Left several messages to no avail.   We gave them plenty of time to credit us back.  I think they took our money and skipped town.  The moving people them selves were not at fault . . . it was the owner who set everything up.  A crook!!

I called daily for 30+ days to file for damages, got someone once who tol me to send pictures to an email.  I did so and then was never able to get anyone to help me again.  I reversed the charges on my credit card due to the lack of returned calls.  This no where covered the damage.

We contacted the company and received an estimate of $780 and the movers were to be at our house at 1:00 PM to pack and we were to be at our new house at 9:00 PM.  The two guys showed up at 1:30 PM and began packing, we were living in a 2 bedroom home with 1 living room suit, 1 bedroom suit, 1 crib set, and the kitchen goods.  The mover were very unprofessional it took them until midnight to pack and load our belongings.  The two movers would stop to play with our 10 month old son or would be reading the newspaper.  We were told the company would provide all the moving materials to include wardrobe boxes.  The two guys had no wardrobe boxes and we had to go to 3 different stores to buy newspapers which ended up costing an additional $40.  While moving our furniture onto the truck the movers put our mattress on the ground outside not in a box and also my son's crib mattress was on the grass.  All of our belongings were put carelessly in the boxes (for example pictures were not wrapped and were just put into boxes.)  My son's crib frame was put into the truck and then an end table was put in his crib so the base of the crib was warped.  The boxes were stacked to the top of the truck and no secured at all.  The movers were also told numerous times to make sure to get all of the big items to include the gas grill in the back yard because I was unable to help move this since I had sprained my ankle the same day and was walking with the assistance of crutches.  When we finallly left our old house at midnight and arrived at the new location several of our items were broken before they were taken off the truck.  We were told that in order for them to remove our belonging from the truck we were to pay.  Then the movers called their supervisor who told them the total was now $997.  We explained to them the only reason we hired them was due to the estimate we got when we hired them.  All we were told was "sorry he was wrong to tell you that."  We then called my in-laws who were in Alabama and they agreed to pay the moving cost.  We told the movers this and the response we got was "cash or check only."  We had to talk to the supervisor and basically beg them to take a credit card over the phone for over 30 minutes.  By the time our belongings were taken off the truck and put in our house it was 4:00 in the morning and my 10 month old was sleeping on the floor.  All of our wood furniture that was less then 3 months old was damaged in some way.  When we asked the movers how to file a damage claim we were told it was on the back of the paperwork.  We attempted to contact the company over 10 times by phone to file a damage claim and each time we were told the same thing "Let me get your number and someone will call you back."  Which never happened.  We sent certified letters to the company which all came back and also e-mailed them with no response.  We contacted the BBB about them and found out that they are not accredited by the BBB even though they claim to be.  All in all I would highly recommend NOT using this company for any type of moving.

It went TERRIBLY...worst move in a 27 year military career

We began by calling three moving companies with good ratings on Angie's List. Lone Star had the lowest cost estimate, so we selected them. On moving day, they showed up promptly. Two polite, clean-cut young men moved our furniture carefully for us. The job was a challenge because every item had to be carried across a hardwood floor in the entryway without letting it touch the floor or scratching the floor. Many items had to go up a stairway with a tight turn. They were cheerful and pleasant throughout the process. We will definitely call them again for our next move!

I had called another moving company who had scheduled me and overbooked me, and delayed me six hours from the time the original appointment was scheduled. Now that its 6:30 at night the 1st of the month, and most moving offices are closed. I called Lone Star told them my situation and Marc advised me that all of their trucks were out and I could schedule with them and he would send the next truck to me within about an hour. 35 minutes later I had a crew at my door moving me to my new town home. Lone Star not only exceeded my expectations in service but in price as well. I'll be calling them again!
