Shawn came out when my system wouldn't get any cooler than 75 degrees and was able to specifically find a slow leak in the outside unit. Shawn took the time to educate me with all the facts I needed (didn't try to sell me) in order to help me decide that I needed a new heat pump outside and new air handler inside. Shawn then assisted me in picking out the best system for my house and completed the work in a day. I couldn't be happier with the service and responsiveness along with the comfort that I truly purchased the best system for my needs.

Came home and the Temperature was 10 degrees above the setting on the thermostat.  Called Locke Service Co. and they came out at 4 p.m. diagnosed the problem, replaced the part.  We were up and running with an hour of the tech getting to our house.
Great job, professional, and efficient.

We just got home from being out of town for 5 days and our upstairs unit
quit cooling. All of our bedrooms are upstairs and I called Locke
Service Company at 7pm. They came within one hour and had to order a new
fan motor part. They replaced it and had it cooling again by 9am the
next morning. I was very pleased with their prompt and professional
service and will definitely call them again in the future. Great service at a reasonable price!

We had a technician out to look at our system as it suddenly stopped cooling the house efficiently. The unit would run all day long to maintain a temperature of 80 degrees, despite the thermostat being set at 78. Locke Service Co. was sent out by my home warranty company. When the technician arrived, you could tell her was annoyed to be on the service call. He spent about 10 minutes on the unit, came back to me and advised that it was slightly low on freon and that he put a little in and I would just have to wait until tomorrow to see if it works. I asked several questions, most of which were left unanswered as he would beat around the bush a lot. I could tell by the way he was acting that he knew he was blowing smoke. He left the attic and garage door open and left without confirming that what he did truly corrected the problem. As expected, his $60 solution was pointless as the system is just as bad now as it was when he arrived. I would not recommend this company to even an enemy. Total waste of money.

"The customer was serviced through Old Republic Home Warranty Company on 6/25/12 and he was charged a $60 co-pay. The Tech did check the system and add 2 lbs of R-22. I do not see that any other problmes were found at that time. Normally it takes several hours for the house to cool down after making the repair due to the removal of all of the heat. We never received a recall from the home warranty company nor did we receive a call from the customer stating that the system was still not cooling properly. I have left the customer a message to dicuss the call further with him. We do care about our customers and the quality of our service."

The entire experience was horrible. I lost over 2 days of work (at least 4 separate visits) and the problem was never resolved. I spent over 2 weeks without A/C in a house that was 90º+. The last time Locke was at my house, the technicians asked for a new A/C filter. After they changed the filter, they proceeded to install a pipe directly in front of the filter door so that I couldn't access the filters to change them any longer.

But by far the worst part of the whole experience was the customer service. The person who scheduled the appointments was rude, raised his voice, spoke over me, and cut me off when I was speaking. I couldn't even ask a simple question without him getting defensive. He never returned a call. The only time he called me was to schedule the initial appointment. I always had to call to find out if the latest part had arrived. And simply calling him was a chore since I never knew how I was going to be treated. Maybe this type of behavior is acceptable in other parts of the country but not here in Texas.  

Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. Find a company that appreciates your business and actually makes the repairs in a timely manner.

The company that finally made the repairs arrived at my house 45 mins after my initial call...fixed the problem in less than 2 hours....provided energy-efficiency tips...and followed up the next day with a call to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. AND THAT IS HOW A/C REPAIR IS DONE!

"This member was serviced through AHS on 6/29/2011 and at that time the technician found the indoor cooling coil was a solid block of ice and another apointment was required after system thawed. On the return trip a dirty indoor cooling coil was found due to lack of filter maintenance or the use of poor quality filters. The indoor coil was clogged 100% with dirt which was restricting the air flow and causing the system to freeze up. The tech called AHS and got autho to pull and clean the dirty coil. Another apointment had to be made due to the amount of time the cleaning requires (4-6 hours). On the return trip the indoor cooling coil was pulled out and cleaned and then reinstalled. Upon start up of the system the tech found a restriction in the refrigerant circuit in the cooling coil and a new coil replacement was required.Unfortunately the tech was unable to diagnose the problem until he had a clean coil to be able to diagnose the system further. The tech called AHS autho and a new cooling coil was ordered. When the coil came in a new apointment was made and the cooling coil was replaced and the system was working properly. To my knowledge the repair was complete and i am not aware of any other problems."

Less than 8 weeks after the work was done, my air conditioning unit has again frozen. The new service company being assigned was unable to come on the first day I requested, so I contacted Locke. They are unwilling to send someone out today to service the unit, even though had they done a complete job 8 weeks ago, I would not be in this position.

"This client was serviced through AHS on 3/14/2007 and at that time 3lbs of R-22 was added and no leaks were found at that time and AHS was unwilling to autho a more in depth leak test at that time. A spring tune up was performed and no other problems were found with the system. She called our office on 5/7/2007 and stated that she was having another problem with her system and she had already scheduled an appontment with another AHS contractor assigned by AHS to her new work order. She wanted us to service her that day.We explained to her that we were unable to service her due to AHS had assigned the work order to another company and unless AHS was willing to transfer the call to us there was nothing we could do for her. Unfortunately AHS assigns the calls not the contractors."

I was fearful that during one of the hottest weeks in August I would not be able to get prompt service. Especially since this was a AHS Home Warranty covered repair. I'm pleased to say we did get prompt service; completed in time to still have our our out of town guests visit. I feel for those poor installers up in the attic at such extreme temperatures, but they were troopers. The installation went well. The Installers/Technicians were knowledgeable and professional. The unit works better than ever. I have an issue with the extra AHS Warranty non covered charges, but that is not the contractor's fault. I will use them again.

The answering service was quite rude and the service company itself was unavailable by phone when both my home warranty company and I tried to reach them, which was during business hours. My home warranty company finally had to assign another company to the job.

Locke Service Company did an excellent job fixing the other company's mistake. They came quickly after our call. They drove a company truck with all the necessary tools to do the job. We have had no other problems since they did the work. The servicemen were friendly and helpful.
