We are a full-service repair shop dedicated to the performance, sound, and appearance of your piano. Specializing in top-quality tuning and repairs, rated #1 by many in customer satisfaction. We are the piano tuners to call when you need it tuned right. With 4 service personnel available we can be there when you need us. Professional and Qualified service is critical to the longevity and maintenance of your piano. I am not currently a guild registered piano technician (was at one time). Since no licensing laws are governing the piano service business i.e electricians, plumbers, etc., your best bet for getting qualified service is to call me :-) or by locating a registered piano tuner near you. At least you have some assurance they know how to work on pianos and are not a D.I.Y. claiming to be a piano service Co. Len went right to work when he arrived and explained in detail the work that was needed for a piano that hadn't been tuned in over 15 years. Some of the work had to be done at his shop requiring 2 trips to my home without additional charges.

I am over-the-top excited about how well my piano plays after Len worked on it. The touch is incredible. Len did the work for an excellent price, and I was especially pleased with the short amount of time it took to have the work done. I would definitely recommend Len Hess to care for anyone's piano needs!

This piano had not been tuned in years and had spent 8 years in a house in Hawaii where it rained every day and had no A/C, so the windows were always open -- not good for a piano. Then it sat in storage for 2 years and was not played at all. We knew it needed to be completely refurbished and Len did a fantastic job. He truly is a craftsman, both with the piano workings and the cabinetry. It sounds fantastic -- more like a baby grand than an upright. I had trouble with a couple of the keys not working properly with the pedal, and he came out and tweaked those at no additional charge. He restained all of the wood to its original color, kept the original manufacturer's info (to include the price from 1967) intact like I had asked, and it looks better than it has for 30 years! Len and his brothers all do piano tuning and repair, so I highly recommend the Hess family if you need work done on a piano...especially one that has grown up with you like mine has!
