Kens Tire DeZavala

I left my car in the morning and picked it up after work. The staff was excellent. I had some circumstances and they were super helpful, they noticed other work that needed done and said they could do it for me.

delivery driver told him that tha tires he received were what he was told to  deliver. No other explanationThe following day, when i arrived for the installation, the Manager stated that the tires he had ordered were not the one one's delivered. The delivered tires were also Goodyear, but a higher cost tire, and my cost then was a little over one hundred dollars more than the agreed price. His explanation was the driver of the delivery truck told him those were the tires he was supposed to deliver. No other explanation was given, nor was any other option mentioned.. I refused the higher price and left. 

    I feel that the price t he manager gave me was less than he should have given and  t he  explanation  he gave was his way out.

    Although I still have two oil changes left on the certificate I bought, I will not be returning to Ken's Goodyear on Austin Highway in San Antonio . 

I had a coupon for an oil change so I went it and brought my own oil the guy behind the counter gave me a hard time about bringing my own oil but begrudgingly wrote me up a ticket. He was explaining to me that they were a full service auto shop while I thought they only did oil changes. I knew my check engine light was on due to a faulty o2 heater circuit and it had been a while since the car had been serviced so I asked that they check the car over to see if there was anything that needed to be resolved knowing that they should tell me about the check engine line and whatever else was wrong. When I returned to pick it up they had finished the oil change and the guy told me that I needed the standard 60K mileage service (I guess just due to the odometer reading). He never mentioned the check engine light at all. I decided that if they were completely unable to see the yellow light on the dash that they probably couldn’t do a good job servicing any part of the car. Based on angies list reviews I look the car to Cambridge Auto works on Fredericksburg and they found a whole bunch of things wrong. Other than for oil changes, I wont be back.

They did fine replacing the tires, but they tried to rip me off and I still think I was ripped off on the price. At first he told me it would be $179 per tire for a Goodyear Comfort tire - he same tires that I had on the front. Because it was a Mercedes he tried to rip me off. I called another tire store and they quoted $120 for the same tire and Ken's Tire said they could do it for $122 per tire. I'm mad that he was going to overcharge me by $60 because I was I woman with a flat tire. It turns out that the fair price for the tires should have been around $100 because my receipt from identical tires purchased 6 months ago at another store showed $98 per tire.
