BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS MAN! He tries to earn your trust by starting the job "right away" but disappears for weeks, leaving my fence uncompleted for long periods of time. 

Mr. Reyes built the fence in just a few days after we agreed on the work to be done and the price.  Then, despite a number of phone calls from me, he put us off for over a month before finally coming out to stain the fence.  When he did, he only stained one side, did a sloppy job, and did not fix the gate on the other fence.  When I called to complain, he said he had only put the first coat of stain on the fence and would be back to finish the job.  As I write this two months later, he has not returned and continued to put off doing the job, even though we have called him several times.  He has not fixed the gate, either, even though he was paid in full.  I would NOT recommend him.

I have a chain link fence and I desperately need some work done on it.  He did it and he was very quick.  The next time I needed him, he came back it was very little work I needed.  The first time he was depending on someone else to get a gate that was big enough to back a car through.  He told me we'd have to go through someone else.  He needed someone who could make the gate, he didn't have the equipment to do that.  The next person he went to was much more prompt and he was very honest with me. He did not try to take me to the cleaners.  He was very good, he didn't over charge me.  I have some fencing that needs to be repaired and I'm going to call him.

Exceptionally satisfied with the work. They were excellent. Cleaned up well after themselves.

Jacob came to give me an estimate on Monday and said he'd be able to start the work on Wednesday and it would take two days. After getting two other bids from other Angies List fence builders I chose Jacob because his bid was lower and he could start the work soon and get it completed within the week. He showed up on time and dismantled the old fence and put the posts up the first day. The second day he completed the work and did a beautiful job. Jacob was very considerate and professional all the time.

mr reyes was originally supposed to come & give estimate 4-14 after 12noon. called about 2pm to advise would not be able 2 come till the next day at 10am, which jacob reyes 380-9307 did do. original estimate was $800 and job could be completed in 1 day. price did not change, but the job was not completed in 1 day. job was to be completed on 4-20-09. was told job was delayed due to weather & it had rained saturday morning. they came back 4-21-09 but only completed a part of the job saying that the cement had 2 set. felt he should have known this when he told me it would be a 1 day job. when i called mr reyes he agreed 2 have the workers come back & temporarily put back the old boards so that my dog and i could safely go out in the back yard but they only did that on 1 side of the yard and that did not help my delima. when they came back the next day they did not put the new fence up the same as it was originally. there was a gap of about 4 inches left open at the bottom. they said if they put the fence flush with the yard the bottom wood might rot from wet weather. i told them that fence had been there since the 1980's and was just now showing signs of erosion & wanted it back the way it was when they took it down. they were very nice about doing that, but if i had not gone out 2 check the work they would have had to do the job all over again. i agreed to leave 1 side of the fence as was and correct the problem myself. mainly because my dog and i had been having to stay in the house for 2 days already and did not want 2 have the job possibly go a 3rd day. i would have paid to have my dog kenneled if i had known in the beginning it was gonna take this long. the employee's and mr reyes were very nice and patient about my complaints and the remainder of the job looked very good & sturdy, but i was very unhappy with the delays and especially not having the fence back as was without any discussion. they seem to have to many jobs going on at the same time for the number of employee's.

The total cost was for both parts and labor. They were professional and did the job well. Mr. Reyes was very responsive in answering his phone and in staying in contact about scheduling and arrival. This company also provides a one-year warranty and parts and labor.

On December 10, 2008, Jacob Reyes from JR Fence gave me a verbal estimate of $750 to $800 for the work. I never received a written estimate or a bill. He collected one half of the money for the job. On December 12, 2008, he brother manually dug post holes for the fence. On December 13, 2008, the chain link fence was hung but no gate was put in the front. Mr Reyes said that he would return on Monday December 15, 2008 to finish the fence. He never showed up or called. I called him from December 15, 2008 through December 18, 2008 and every time that I called him, he said that he would be over the following day. I sat and waited for him. He never showed up or called. On December 18, 2008, I told him that I was going to complain to the City if he did not finish the work. He showed up onDecember 19, 2008 and finished the work except for the existing gate and latch. He said that he would have to do that repair on another day. I paid him for th rest of the work. On December 24, 2008, I called Mr. Reyes and told him that I have found several problems with the fence and the latches on the gates. The problems were: -The chain link was hung unevenly. It is uneven around the top and several inches above the ground in places at the bottom. -The chain link is loose at the bottom. -One gate lattch fell off. Another gate latch is loose and does not keep the gate closed. - the latch on the existing ate was never repaired. -He cut the wire running around the bottom of the existing fence and id not reattach it. The wire is sticking out and the fence is not attached at all at the bottom. On December 29, 2008, Mr. Reyes came by and looked at the fence and said that he would be back on January 2nd or 3rd to correct the problems with the fence. I have sent at least one email and called him from January 3rd to Februay 3, 2008 about the fence and he has not showed up to fix the fence.

the overall experience was very positive. Unfortunately, after work began, a very inclement and rainy, cold weather front was experienced. This delayed project, and work was intermitent until dry, sunny weather resumed. In the meantime, Mr. Reyes used some of the off-days to remove all the debris stacked in our backyard. He was very mindful of our animal that we had to keep locked up, and tried his best to finish the work in a timely manner, weather allowing.

Good work, they did everything that was expected and more.

Jacob was very professional, easy to talk to and responded promptly to my phone call with an estimate. Matter of a fact, he came over within a few hours of my phone call to give me a quote on the work I was requesting. He is a pleasure to work with I would certainly use him again and/or refer him to others. I have an acre of land the remaining property still needs a fence. When the time comes I will call Jacob to that job also.

The work was done quickly and at an excellent price.

Jacob was very nice and very professional. He was flexible with his time and was willing to work with our schedule. After he first stained the deck, there were a couple of spots that needed some touch up work. He willingly came back and did not finish until we were satisfied. We would definitely use him again and we have already recommended him to a friend.

Jacob Reyes came and gave me an estimate on Friday, June 20. I gave him $150.00 and scheduled the work for 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24th. Promptly at the arranged time, the 3 arrived, completed the job, cleaned up the area and received the remaining $150.00. They completed the work in approx. 3 and a half hours and did an excellent job! They brought all the materials and tools with them and did not waste any time. I was given an invoice when they were finished. The men were polite, friendly, and answered all the questions I asked. They were professional in their attitude and skillful workers. Their price was very fair and I would highly recommend JR Fence Company. They deserve to be at the top of your list!

Very well. Mr. Reyes is very professional. He answered the initial call very nicely, and came to see our job the next day. He provided an estimate and did not deviate from that estimate. He showed up to complete the job ahead of schedule, and was very quick and efficient with his 2-man team. He was very considerate of my wife and children when finishing the job and accepting payment. I am very very pleased with this choice of company. Apparently he has worked for other fencing companies in the past, and and has now started his own business.
