Jim was fantastic.  My son had been having trouble with several keys sticking as he was preparing for an upcoming competition.  I found Jim on Angie's List and he rearranged his schedule so that he could come out the very next morning.

He is not only professional, he is also very personable.  He was very thorough with tuning the piano and explained how lubricating the piano (parts) would further improve the performance.  He did not push any additional repairs and/or work on me.  He is very low key but works very efficiently.

Jim is an excellent craftsman with over 12 years experience in tuning and doing any and all work needed on pianos.  He brought all the equipment needed to blow out huge deposits of dust and other particles from the board. Additionally, totally cleaned out the inside of the piano.  He spent hours resurrecting a piano that had been neglected for years.  He fixed stuck keys, lubricated the hammers and did an excellent job of tuning the piano.

i have used Jim Moffett several times in the past, for piano tuning. His prices are good and he is friendly and warm. A good, honest man. I called today just to ask about moving my piano, and he gave me very good advice. Everything accomplished in a phone call between and quot;friendsand quot; now. I recommend him to all families of my piano students. You couldn't do better!

I called Mr. Moffit and we arranged a time for the next day. He arrived on time and removed his shoes upon entering my home. He quickly assessed the problem and set about fixing it. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. We discussed tuning the instrument which he did at my request. After he finished everything was tidy and in working order, sounding better than ever. Charges were reasonable for the work done. Will call on him again for further service

His pricing is very reasonable. He is very good. He shows up when he says he is going to. He is very pleasant to work with. He has always done an excellent job.

Jim is a pleasant and knowledgeable tuner. He charges $95.00 as the basic charge and $1.00 per mile for travel outside the 1604 loop. Optional service to reset the tuning (a process I don't understand very well) was $25.00. The customer should ask how much for this, as it varies from $25-300, depending on the condition of the piano. Jim also found that the practice bar had come unattached and fixed the securing ring without charge. We were satisfied with the process and the piano plays better.

Jim answered my telephone call promptly and was very accommodating to working with my schedule. He gave me a price estimate by phone, but did tell me that the price could be higher since it hadn't been tuned for awhile. Jim called about an hour before the appointment to confirm and arrived precisely on time. He was very pleasant and courteous and discussed sticky key problems and additional charges before continuing on.

Jim is fantastic! He's very nice, works efficiently, and even negotiated the sellers down a couple hundred dollars! I will use him again!

Jim returned my phone call within an hour or so of leaving a message. He was on time, very pleasant, and did a thorough job of tuning my piano that hadn't been tuned in years and had made the move from a northern climate to down here. I felt he was honest because he could've charged me for a pitch adjustment (which I expected, given our move) but told me that I didn't need one. He has a great sense of humor and was very pleasant to have around, which was a bonus - given that it takes a couple hours to tune a piano. I felt his charges were reasonable and will definitely use him again.
