Ceramic Tile Service
I had two back to back water damage claims. The first was the result of flooding rains that ruined the hardwood floor in my dining room. The second was an overflowed toiled that ruined the rest of the hardwood in the house -- 2 days after Jose had finished with the first job! Jose and his guys demolished the damaged flooring in both cases and hauled away the garbage. Because the rooms connect with each other and are open, the lines for the tile weren't obvious because I wanted a diagonal pattern in the great room with a tile border laid straight. Jose continued to work with me, drawing many chalk lines, until he determined the best way to lay the tile. Jose is a master tile setter who has done this for decades. His experience really showed when he spent the extra time to avoid having to make odd cuts. Where odd cuts were necessary, he took his time to make sure to lay them in the most inconspicuous places in the room. My tile looks as though it was a part of the home when it was originally constructed as opposed to the look a remodel often has.
When Jose tiled the bathroom, he suggested laying a border of tile along the walls of the bathroom as opposed to wood baseboards. That looked great and was functional; when the toilet overflowed again, the tile border on the wall kept me from having water damage for the third time. Jose and his guys worked long hours and were extremely conscientious. His bid wasn't the cheapest bid I received, but his work was definitely worth the little extra. My rooms look like they were done when the home was built, and Jose's suggestion of the tile border along the bathroom saved me another deductible plus the hassle of having to go through all that again.
You may have to wait for Jose to do your job because he does quite a bit of commercial work. If you are patient and wait for him, you will be happy you did! By the way, Jose's first work for me was redoing a rental in San Antonio where he did great tile work as well as painting and other jobs necessary to get a rental back into shape. Because I was pleased with that work, I had him work in my home.
