Didn't get past the first call. I understood my slot for a plumber to work was from 10 to 2. I confirmed this. Day of, They call at 130 to tell me someone will be here in 30 minutes. I was confused and this "manager" complained to me how hard it was to reschedule and became very combative. Canceled with them and thankfully AMBITION PLUMBING & DRAIN SERVICES (210) 904-5209 Got back with in 5 minutes of this call and set CORRECT expectations.

Do not use this company. They do shoddy work and are very slow to follow up on work orders. The faucet they repaired less than 30 days ago is already not working. When I called them, the dispatcher, named Amanda who 'claimed' to be the manager was rude and condescending. When I advised her they did a bad job, she replied, 'that's fine.' Very unprofessional.

This is the second time I have used this company. I never write reviews, but after seeing the reviews above I had to weigh in. I have had a wonderful experience with this company. They have been very prompt in coming out, identifying my plumbing problems, and fixing the problem efficiently and competently. This last time I had water dripping into my garage and thought it was a plumbing leak. They took their time and really looked at every possible source for the leak. It turns out I did not have a plumbing issue but a roof issue. They were able to guid me in the right direction to get my problem resolved. They were very thorough and did not even charge me since they were right down the street when I called. I cannot say enough for this family owned business that had repeatedly been there for me. I highly recommend them and am sorry if anyone happened to have an isolated negative experience.

Had the misfortune of working with them via American Home Shield. Not only did it take forever to get an appointment both times that we did, but when they finally replaced the broken kitchen faucet, with a lesser model, needlessly removing the hose that was attached, they didn't tighten the mounts to the sink that they had loosened for the installation properly. We didn't know this, and four days later the caulking that was somehow still holding the sink up broke/tore and the sink started dipping in the middle and leaking water everywhere. We're now replacing the entire sink and the garbage faucet they installed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Company was sent out by our Home Warranty provider to repair plumbing leak. Upon arrival, plumbers cut multiple holes in walls but were unable to locate leak, so they decided it was an in-slab leak. I was given a price of between $550-$950 to "pinpoint and isolate" the leak, and a verbal quote for an additional $2,700 (approximately) to repair the leak once pinpointed and isolated, and their other technicians were schedule to come back to complete the "pinpoint and isolate". When the next batch of technicians arrived, they determined that in order for home warranty to cover the "pinpoint and isolate", the entire repair would have to be paid upon completion, for which I needed times to raise funds. They would only do the "pinpoint and isolate" (without repairs) if I paid the $550-$950 out of pocket. Since I still needed to raise funds, they left. The next day I had another plumbing company come out to give me quote for "pinpoint and isolate". The second company quickly determined that not only was there NO in-slab leak, they actually found the in-wall leak 6 inches from one of the holes cut into wall by Immediate Response Plumbing. It is my belief that Immediate Response Plumbing would have gladly taken my money to "pinpoint and isolate" the supposed in-slab leak AND the repairs for same, and I would have still had the original in-wall leak. I do NOT recommend this company.

I am usually quick to praise companies that provide great service and do not like to respond negatively. I could not let this go by without commenting. In June 2017 I contacted American Home Shield regarding a a water heater that was not working. They sent out their contractor Immediate Response Plumbing to replace the unit. September 2018 I had to replace an AC unit in the same house. (AHS would not cover being "pro-active" and replacing unit before it went out-have since cancelled AHS!) Plumbers replaced the water heater but used the old corroded connectors and never mentioned the drip pan that obviously should have been replaced at the same time? My AC company provided the attached pictures of the damaged pan. Called AHS and they offered to send THE SAME PLUMBERS out (for a fee) to replace the pan. Thank you - but no thank you! Had my AC company back out and they did a great job but it cost me an additional $1835.00 to have the unit drained, new connections added, electrical outlet replaced (old was not up to code) and a new pan installed. Very disappointing.

I made an appointment for Tuesday morning. They said they would call 30 minutes before sending someone out. I missed the call because I was in the shower and called them back 10 minutes later. They said the plumber had already moved out of my area and I would have to reschedule for that afternoon! I had to completely re-arrange my day because of 10 minutes, and they never told me in the first place that I had to answer the call to have the guy come out! The receptionist on the phone was incredibly rude as well. The entire thing was an abysmal experience. The work was completed, but quite frankly I will never do business with them again

They diagnosed a problem wrong. The best part of the experience is that they were prompt getting out to fix the problem. They gave me wrong information. They were punctual.

The plumbers that came to the house were very nice, the problem is the office manager! Over the course of a month I was trying to get my tankless hot water heater repaired. Part of the time issue was working around the constraints of the home warrantee contract. However, Immediate Response only has one person that works on tankless hot water heaters. After the first visit, it stopped working again and the plumber came out and said it was blowing the breaker and I should get an electrician out to look at the circuit, which I did, and the electrician said it was fine. The plumber returned days later and this time decided it was a bad heating element. He called the company and they didn't make parts for that brand anymore. The home warrantee company called me and asked if I would like to replace it or take a cash buy out, I opted for the buy out. Unfortunately, Immediate Response was my only choice to do the replacement, and instead of ordering a highly rated locally available tankless hot water heater, they placed an order through a company that took several days to send a more expensive lower rated unit. There is clearly a disconnect between the plumber and the awful office staff. The plumber comes and says nothing has been ordered, which my home warrantee  company confirmed, but the office manager said they were wrong and the order was confirmed to be in that day or the next and refused to book the plumber to come out... three days later she confirmed the items were received, but then we had to wait through the weekend to get the repairs done. I pleaded with the office manager to schedule the plumber to come out as soon as possible, and that I would be available at a moments notice because I had a houseful of guests coming for the holidays. She suggested that maybe I should have taken the buy out and done it myself. To date, I still do not have a fully functional water heater.

Called American Home Shield for a plumbing stoppage in my garage apartment.  They sent Immediate Response Plumbing.  The plumbers could not find a clean out for the garage building.  They then went to the clean out for the main house over 40 feet from the garage apartment.  They put a camera in that line and said we had roots growing in the line going to the sewer at the street.  That was the opposite direction from the garage.  They said that hydrojetting the line would clear the problem at that garage.  After nearly $600 in hydrojetting cost plus the $75 AHS fee, nothing was fixed.  I feel like we were the victim of a bait and switch.  AHS needs to find another plumber.

We had water coming out from under the toilet when we used the bathtub in our guest bathroom. Since we use American Home Shield for our home warranty, I called for service, not having any idea what the problem was. I was contacted fairly quickly by Immediate Response, and they set an appointment for the next day, which was a Sunday. That made me happy. When the team of two arrived right on time, I told them about the problem. They wanted to see where the septic tank and clean outs were. (We have two septic tanks, and I knew which one was the tank for this portion of the property). They opened the clean out lid, and found that it was not draining properly. They went to get an auger. I was in my studio, which is 20 feet from where they were working. After they said they augered, they came and told me that the septic line was broken due to roots invading it. That puzzled me because the nearest tree was 40 or so feet from the line, which had a path that was about 5 feet long until it dumped to the septic, and past the tank was where that tree was, but I figured they would know more than I. They asked me if, for an additional $175, I wanted to run the camera down so we could see the break. I decided that was a good idea, knowing the fix could be costly, and perhaps they really were not sure, so I agreed. They went to get the camera equipment, and I told my wife what was going on. They were finished with in just minutes, and were back in front where I was conversing with my wife. They said indeed we had a break, and it would take digging up 6 feet of pipe, and replacing it, and that the work would be warranteed for a year. They said it would cost $2300, and they could start in the morning, no one had to be home. Did we want a bid/contract filled out? We said ok. They went off to the truck to get paperwork going. While they were out there, I began writing out the check for the $175 plus $75 service call, as that bill had already been presented. But then I realized I had not seen the camera footage, and I really knew nothing about this company, let alone septic systems in general. So I darted inside, pulled up my trusted Angie's List, and was less than thrilled by what I read from others who had posted. When the guy who made out the deal came back, I asked it I could please see the camera footage. THEN he said that they couldn't see, because the clean out drain was full. Now I may not be knowledgable about septic systems, but even I could see the drain was full, so is this why they had completed the filming so quickly? Immediately I knew something stank, something other than my septic. So when he presented me with the bid/contract to sign, I said I would have to sleep on it. At this point, I already felt ripped off. The next day I contact a friend of a friend who knew a lot about plumbing and septic, and out of the kindness of his heart, he advised me to call the septic company who had pumped my main tank a few months earlier. He said that was the best place to start off, by eliminating potential problems with a smaller bill first. I called them, and they came, pumped this auxiliary tank and said I had a blockage at the T where the clean out went into the tank, 2 feet in. By the way, NOT roots. $300, cleaned tank, blockage gone, and no more problems. I really think the first company was trying to take me, and shame on them. And as an aside, it might be a good idea to send employees who don't continually gag while working on your septic. It makes the whole situation so much more awkward.

I thought this company was quick to respond to my needs. The plumber was informative and fixed my problem. I didn't have any problems with them. They even did a couple other small things for me.

They gave me a sound estimate, showed up on time, did everything I asked and more, and it was all done correctly and quickly.  I asked Immediate Response back to do this work because they had done four other plumbing repairs for me through American Home Shield.  Although I did not select them, they again showed up for every job exactly when they promised, quickly assessed and corrected the various problems, kept me fully informed through the entire process, and were extremely professional and considerate of my needs.  Problems ranged from a broken drain pipe that was causing damage in my kitchen, to a leaky drain in my wet bar.  I was so happy, they were the only ones I considered to address my punch list in preparation for selling my home.

The Technicians came to my house and said they could repair my electric water heater again. However, I had it repaired before and I said please just replace it. I was shocked at the price they gave me. They told me they were having a special on water heater replacement. So not only are they an HONEST COMPANY but very efficient. They had different types of water heaters and other items in their truck. I was real impressed by how organized this company is. I didn't have to wait for another day to have my water heater replaced. Way To Go Immediate Response Plumbing. You are and will always be my number one San Antonio Plumber!

The discount I got was $100. I guess every now and then they have these specials and I just happen to call them at the right time!

Definitely Check them out!

Hot water went out.
Called American Home Shield (AHS) Home Warranty on SATURDAY NOON.  They assigned "Immediate Response Plumbing" to the job.
They had somebody here at the house by 3pm and fixed it.  Pilot light issue and no need to replace the water heater...cool!

Plumbing: A.  All drains passed city inspection.
Jackhammering: B.  They used my electricity.
Refilling holes:  F.   Those two yayhoos were worthless.  Their supervisor had to call me to make sure they showed up (which was at 5:00p and a new guy was doing all the work while those other two sat in the truck).
Concrete:  ??  I can't grade it until they do it.  I'm on their schedule for May 14.
This project began in early March.  I'm scheduled for completion May 14.  This experience has not endeared this company to me (nor me to them, I'm sure).  I'll probably call someone else to run the gas line for my kitchen stove and maybe even someone else to install my dishwasher, depending.

They found the problem, it's not bad enough to repair and First Response charged us for it. They didn't do anything like some companies would have said you have to do things, they didn't and I thought that was good. I don't think they should have charged us.

They were hired by the AHS warranty company to fix an issue with the water heater at a house we were buying. After their visit and "inspection" of water heater, they informed the seller's of the house that it was working properly. The day after we closed on the house we notice the water heater was not working properly. Since they incorrectly diagnosed the problem, the seller's were not willing to fix the water heater. I tried to have them correct the problem and gave them an opportunity to come back for a second look but they wanted to charge another service fee. I would not recommend them. I have since found another local company which fixed the issue and took the time to explain what the problem was all for less than their service fee of $60.00

Immediate Response Plumbing

Immediate Response Plumbing, had to excavate to do major plumbing work.
Dug under our house to get to the tree roots that broke through the pipes.
Then they replaced the pipes.
In the end they fixed the problem, but it took way too long.
They... Immediately responded to the problem.
Immediately responded to taking our money.
But, did not  Immediately respond to finishing the job.
Had to keep calling them to see when they were going to fill in the big hole.
They wouldn't return our phone calls.

They were hilarious. They came out through the home warranty. I just paid the home warranty. My experience with them was not good. They did eventually solve the problem, but initially it took several days to get them out here. We were completely without water while we waited for them. They may not have known that it was an immediate situation. It could have been that the information didn’t get to them correctly from my home warranty people. Once they were out here, they fixed it and created another problem and then having to get them back out here took a couple more days. There was a second problem that they were supposed to look at from the beginning. There was a leak and I had a toilet that had a problem. The guy just didn’t seem like he wanted to fix it. He kept making excuses. He said that it was supposed to have a piece on it and he couldn’t diagnose it as the plastic piece was missing. This was a fabrication and I knew that there was nothing missing. It was a problem within the tank and nothing had gone. It did always look that way. When they had to come out to fix the second problem that he had caused, I insisted on a second technician. They send out another guy who fixed the problem right away. The problem was that the toilet was leaking from inside the tank which the first guy didn’t want to fix. I would not use them again in the future.
