We had used Homearama before for a previous home renovation and were very happy with the quality of the cabinets, the timeliness of the delivery, and Eddie's great customer service. When we returned for the current home renovation the cabinets did not seem to be the same quality, though we worked with Eddie again and he was great again.

Prior to renovation my wife and I visited several cabinet outlets. Our key points were
1. Quality of the cabinets
2. Cost.
At HomeArama, Mr. Israel and his staff were very helpful and spent time in answering all our questions.
Although a delivery service for the cabinets was available I chose to save the delivery cost and picked them up myself. Upon arrival at the dock they loaded and secured the load in my truck. As with all projects, modification of
the plan required additional cabinets which they ordered quickly for me. I was
able to pick up these cabinets that week to complete the project.

I was shown door styles and stains options from cabinet doors hanging on a wall to help design our new bathroom vanity cabinets. Before picking up our cabinets, I asked our salesman if once we opened the boxes and were not satisfied, what would be our next step. He told me not to worry because they were covered under warranty. When we opened up the boxes and looked at the cabinets, we concluded that the overall construction of the cabinets was fine, but the stain was mismatched and patchy. Although it was somewhat caused from the natural wood coming through, the majority of the stain looked as though they didn't care to try to get the tone to match the different pieces of wood. One cabinet is mosty even in the stain, but the middle one is lighter and the drawers stained in 3 different shades, and then the last cabinet looks like a patchwork quilt and much darker then the other two cabinets, especially the one with drawers next to it. They look terrible next to each other! If I had wanted a rustic look I would have chosen this, but there was nothing shown to me in the show room that was varied to this degree in stain on one cabinet let alone the three together. There are areas that look as though they did not take the time to smooth out the stain. I called the company and was told that I am stuck with them because they were custom made. I continued to let them know that I was not happy and we arranged to have a person from the cabinet company, Cardell Cabinets come over. My salesman and the rep from Cardell came over and offered to make one cabinet door for me and then I would have to pick between the new or old even if the new one did not match either. My lawyer asked that I get a professional over here to give his opinion. I did. He has a very nice man that is in this business come over to give his evaluation. He has won several awards from Angie's List over the past few years. He agreed that the stain job was not up to what he would have expected from these two companies. I asked to talk to the owner of Homearama but was not able to get his name or anyway to contact him. He was given my contact info but he did not attempt to contact me. I have been very nice and calm up to this point. I have not been pushy nor have I raised my voice and don't believe I should be treated like this. I'm really surprised because I have another bathroom and kitchen that we hoped to order cabinets for after finishing our master bath. Why would they treat me like this?

The purchase and receipt of our cabinets couldn't have gone better. We picked out the cabinets we wanted, they were ordered, and delivered as promised. Our contractor did the installation. After being installed, we noticed that the glaze on one of the doors was smeared. I called them and they replaced the door, no questions asked.

They carry different brands, and they also deal with a local cabinet maker. They were very helpful. Sean, one of the employees, was quite good. We have used them before, and they continue to be quite good.

Our new cabinet arrived in less than 2 weeks. Since it was only a single cabinet they were unable to install but, recommended a sub-contractor who also arrived on time and charged a very reasonable amount for the removal of old cabinet and installation of the new one.

I went to a home improvement store first and they sent someone to measure my cabinets. When I went to the store to get my design and pick out cabinets, the wrong measurements were on the plans and the cabinets were too expensive. I went to Home Arama and they sent someone out to measure. Their cabinets were similar to the ones I liked at the home improvement store, but $500 cheaper. Sean, the salesman, was a great help as I picked cabinets and countertops. All were delivered on time.

I live by lousy workers! This job was horrible! My countertops are crooked. The side splash is all wrong. The frame is built wrong. I could go on and on about this job. I called them continuously for eight weeks and never got anyone to come out. They never returned my phone calls. It was just a mess. After my eight weeks of calling, they finally came back and straitened everything up. They did refund a big sum of the money back to me, but I still would never call them again.

Home Arama is a very honest company and also has a reputable reputation. They did quote us a price before they started the work and stuck to it. I am really enjoying the look of the kitchen as it turned out just how I wanted it. I feel that they were definitely worth the money we spent.
