what was stated by the salesman was not provided by the home depot sub-tier contractors. The granite countertops were installed late and cut incorrectly. chips on edges, burrs on countertops, edges were too far from wall, leaving large gaps. When attempting to have the primary (Home Depot) resolve the concerns: follow thru from Home Depot's coordinator was terrible. the Countertop installers were late and had an attitude. they also wanted us to have removed the old countertops (not per contract). when you call HD to speak with a mid level manager, they refer you to others or their voicemail is not connected. if you call customer service, they will direct your call back to the coordinator who will provide excuses and tell you she is just admin. the salesperson will tell you that the crews will clean up, but you will have some dust afterwards (as expected). but, the countertop installers left screws and nails, as well as lots of debris all over the kitchen. they did not caulk the countertops (underneath) or attach the sink correctly (as far as just the sink, not the plumbing), they installed the wrong granite window seal. and our new dishwasher was gouged by the installation crew. The cabinet installer: was very professional, on time, detail oriented and courteous. he did quality work. backsplash installers were very professional, on time, detail oriented and courteous. the Home Depot project coordinator was either inexperienced or overwhelmed with what to do to correct the project. My advice: shop around for installers, and manage the project yourself. it will save you a lot of headaches as well as money. HD is definitely NOT worth the money.

I contracted with Home depot to do countertops for 2 bathrooms. They informed me that the work is contracted a countertop company, which was OK. After I paid for the countertops up front I was told by Home depot that if the blue prints for the sinks did not come with the new sinks I would have to do them myself. If the sinks don't fit the counters have to be redone and no one wants to take that responsibility. It would have been helpful if I had been told up front. I did do the blueprints and they were exactly right. The contractors were nice and did a good job which had nothing to do with Home Depot.

So, I have Home Depot out for an estimate. It was around April 18th. They send a salesman to the house and I'm sold. He gives me a great price and after signing a contract with them he gives me his and quot;directand quot; number so I can direct all my questions to him. I pay the initial 2k with my credit card and am told I have three days to cancel. If I do it after the three days it will cost me a percent of the job which calculated out to around 800.00. I said no problem I wanted the job done and I would not be cancelling. He tells me before leaving that I should expect a call from the foreman within the week and they job will begin the first week of May. This all happened in the middle of April.
The first week of May comes and goes and I do not get one call from anyone. Not one. At the beginning of the second week of May I attempt to call my salesmans and quot;direct' line. I leave a msg. Two days later I call him again. I do not leave a msg since he did not respond to the first one. The very next day I call and leave another msg. No call back. In between these messages I get on Home Depot website and leave to emails with them. They do not respond.
I DRIVE to my closest Home Depot and speak with one of the cashiers. She looks throughout their computers and finds my job. After a month of waiting the page is blank except for my payment and my work order. She is confused and gives me a phone number to the houston office to try and get more answers.
I call Houston the next morning and the woman that answers is rude and oblivious. Her first response is that Home Depot does not offer the service I just told her I purchased so I must be making the whole thing up. When I told her I have a folder full of things saying they do indeed provide the service and took my money to do it she is quick to inform me she is in Houston and could not possibly have any answers for me. and quot; Then why am I even talking to you?and quot; I replied. She gives me a and quot;directand quot; number for the guy in San Antonio that should have all the answers. I get to call someone else.
I call him, we are now around May 22nd, and get him immediately on the phone. He tells me he is aware of the job and he apologizes for not contacting me sooner, but Home Depot has decided NOT to do the work. They said my required to much work, the bid was to low, and they don't want the liability. MORE THAN A MONTH LATER! I say then why do you still have my money? He tells me they did not cancel the job yet so he cant give me back my money until the job is off the books. Three days later we get a record storm and my roof leaks and my house floods. I do not get my money until about June 3rd and only after I call three more times. They gave me no compensation and were willing to charge me about 800.00 dollars for breach of contract after 3 DAYS! Stay away from HOME DEPOT work
I would really like to sue the h*** out of them.

Nicki, the sales person was outstanding. She really listened and ended up saving me money. They gave me the number for the Habitat for Humanity guy to come out and take out my old countertop and he did this for free. My only complaint was for the contractor that put the granite countertop in. I told Home Depot that I was not happy with the first contractor and they had a different contractor put the backsplash in and I was very happy with this. The overall work was good.

This door was so expensive because it had special glass. Their customer service has always been great. I feel like their pricing is very reasonable when compared to other companies. I like the overall attitude of their employees. They handle things well. I feel like they're easy to deal with so that's why I continually use their services. I like how they are so willing to help me and work with me. We haven't had any problems with them at all. It's convenient that the price of the door includes the cost of installation. They showed up to install the door right when they said they would.

It went well. They did an amazing job. It looks good, and we get a lot of complements. It is a high end linoleum floor. The floor looks like tile but is much better than tile. They were great with cleaning up. Their communication would probably be a "B." The problem was they told us that they were going to send a plumber out because in the middle of the downstairs there is a bathroom, which had carpet before and now as the new flooring. They said that they would take care of disconnecting the toilet and moving it out. When push came to shove and the floor people showed up, they said that we had to have a plumber. So, that was a problem because we didn't have one at the last minute. We did deal with the problem, but it was a little crazy.
