Professionals booked through Handy are experts across a range of home services, including home cleaning, handyman services, painting, lawn care, and more. Kristin was very nice and did a good job. Handy's app doesn't allow customer and professional to communicate. Handy failed to provide Kristin with apt# causing her to miss appointment time. I faulty Handy for disappointing experience not Kristin.

I cannot stress enough how horrible this company is to work with. After booking a week ahead, their CONTRACTOR was a no show, and when I reached out to her to inquire as to why, she told me that she had not accepted the job and had been trying to tell "handy" to take her off the available list. I attempted to contact "handy" support, and the only method is through their app, and then they only respond through email. I specifically requested a call in my help request...and got an email in reply claiming how "sorry" they were. Surprisingly, in the middle of trying to get in contact with an actual person at "handy" I got a call from Angie's List asking how the appointment went, and after explaining the CONTRACTOR was a no-show, the Angie's List representative volunteered that I would have to contact "handy" to resolve the issue. Then, I received a call from a confused random "handy" representative inquiring how the appointment went. I explained the situation but he "was new here" and was unable to book another cleaning within the time frame required. He was so "sorry", which did absolutely nothing for my timeline or lack of a clean house. After trying to get Handy to re-book the appointment in the required time frame for over 5 hours, I made one call to MERRY MAIDS and their EMPLOYEES were on location within an hour, at the end of the day. MERRY MAIDS came to the rescue, went over and above all expectations, and GOT THE JOB DONE. I requested a refund from "handy", and they replied with a credit to my "handy" account. I had to make a special request to have the funds returned to my bank account. When I booked the appointment, they debited my account before I even got the confirmation on my screen - but it took over 5 days to get the refund. After some additional research, it turns out that "handy" is owned by Angie's List, and I can vouch for the fact that NEITHER of them has ANY comprehension of customer service or commitment. I, for one, will never use "handy" again, and I will be outspoken about their ABHORRENT lack of service. Most likely, this will be my first and last Angie's List review as well. I can find a much better service the old fashioned way.

Paid over $350 for a deep clean and recieved a basic wipe down. Cabinets were cleaned, dusted only top surfaces (dust still clear on drawers and sides and to of headboard), countertops and sinks wiped not scrubbed, master shower not touched at all. Very dissapointed. Will not hire again.

My wife contacted these people. They cancelled twice at the last minute after she had already taken the days off from work. Then when we called to find out why there is an issue they had us leave a message with support and never called back. This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY! I can't believe this is onAngie's Certified List

BUT ---- Handy has the absolute WORST way to contact them. They insist on you using their phone app in order to receive messages from your professional....but they disconnect it (guessing) as the app will not work unless you allow cookies on your phone!! Very unprofessional.
