I have drainage issues in the area where my house is located. Woody recommended the installation of gutters on our backyard garage. Woody was a pleasure to work with and the gentlemen who installed our gutters were respectful, got straight to work and left no trace of trash, which I greatly appreciated. Will definitely be calling Woody for other jobs.

Amazingly fast and skilled restoration. I couldn't be more pleased with the result and the cost.

Since last time, as described below, they came and made another attempt to install a sump pump under our house.  Unfortunatelyit also failed, with the silt flowing under the house overwhelming the 2 sump pumps effectively disabling them.  I don't think they were installed high enough to prevent this.

Since then Woody has had a plumber out who explored our French drain, and also looked at our landscaping which is a major part of the problem--evidently our neighbor who's elevation is above us has had an erosion of his stone fence in his back yard allowing water to flow into our yard and eventually under our house.  This sump pump issue seems complex and different people seem to have different ideas about potential solutions.  But I feel better about Woody and will continue working with him.  

 A part of our project included installing a sump pump under our house.  It turns out it was installed completely badly; the plumbing contractor admits he failed to tighten the hose connecting the sump pump with the discharge pipe.  As a result my house was flooded several times creating a dangerous situation for distorting my house foundation.  Nevertheless, in spite of repeated requests for help, the plumbing subcontractor, Adam Cedillo, has failed to show up on multiple occasions and has failed to provide any reassurance of any remedy.

We live in a home built in 1936 in a historic district. We noticed some rotted wood on our soffits, porch columns and trim. Quotes were requested from other contractors but none would consider the job-- it was apparently too small.We finally contacted Guy and quot;Woodyand quot; Chipman, owner of Guy Chipman Construction , because he was known for working on older homes in historic districts where staying true to design and materials is important. He did not hesitate to take on what was initially a small job and easily managed the additional problems exposed during the repair process. Because he has been in business for many years, his subcontractors are and quot;tried and trueand quot;. We were very pleased with the quality of the carpentry and house painting jobs. The quote was very detailed including material and labor costs for each repair. Work was done in a timely manner whenever weather permitted. Woody's communications about the progress and scheduling were excellent. He has good rapport with the city's historic and design review office and quickly obtained the certificate of appropriateness for the project.
We would definitely use Guy Chipman Construction again and would give our highest recommendation to anyone who needs a contractor.
