The repair person looked at my machine and figured out what was wrong immediately and fixed it. It cost me only $15, I would definitely use again.

So glad I found Gromes! They are super nice, will joke with you and are experts in sewing machines. There was a question if they would be able to find the light switch part after so many years, but they were able to and Robert installed it and got it back to new. I am so happy. Everything is working again and I'm back in business. Service included tune up, disassembled and air cleaned, oiled, tension adjustment, and replacement of broken light switch. When I picked it up they were doing a serger class so they do classes too.

Promised that my machine would be ready in two weeks. It was ready in just a few days.

They helped me do the threading and the machine worked well -- it sewed a cloth -- for them, but for me, the cloth will not advance, resulting in knots. This is a Singer So Simple Machine. It is a toy not a real sewing machine.

When I told her the problem, she immediately started trying to fix my machine right on the spot without having to leave it for at least 2 weeks. She tried tweezers, etc but couldn't get all the thread. (I had also tried this at home.) We had trouble removing a screw but she got one of the repairers in the back to loosen it and then cleaned out the excess thread and blew out any other dust etc. It only cost $15 and I got to take my machine home. I was thrilled.

Turned out the repairs would have been more expensive than replacing the machine with a refurbished newer one.

Very helpful and professional and friendly and really knew my machine.

I was very pleased with their business. They've been in business a long time. They told me the price up front and that's exactly what it was when I went to pick it up.

I have an old Sears sewing machine from 1968. When I needed a repair, they were able to find a part that I needed that Sears themselves did not even have! When I need something unusual repaired, I will travel 30 minutes to go to this company because the repairmen are just that good. I usually go to them about once a year to have something fixed because of their outstanding work.

The oil in my older Pfaff electronic sewing machine had hardened and the foot could no longer be raised and lowered. According to the helpful lady at Grome's a common problem in older Pfaff machines. After oil removal and replacement and a general servicing of my machine, it is working very well again. The lady was very helpful and knowledgeable about my machine model and diagnosed the problem. I especially liked that the shop has fixed prices for the specific service or repairs needed. Example: removal of old oil and replacing it $50.-, servicing of electronic machines $130.- (both $$ rounded). After pick-up of the machine I have 30 days to bring any problems to their attention. Overall I am very pleased with the whole experience.

replace 6 gear disks to make this machine 'like new' again.  Job was ready when promised and at the cost discussed.

It was important for me to purchase something where I could take it for service where I purchased it, instead of going to one of the big buck stores. I haven't use the machine yet, so I couldn't really comment on quality, I am assuming it is going to be fine. I would use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job. They said it was one of the nicest machines on the market. They have a great website, too.
