I was helping my Mom and Sister get a new build in my neighborhood. I had Paul Grewe come out and he was great. Explained what was wrong and came back out after the builder made the repairs. The pricing was fair and he was great to work with. I would absolutely recommend using them if an inspection is needed.

First time home buyer here. I was scared to death that I might miss something and end up with damage I couldn't repair, or an issue that would kill the value of the house. Robert took his time, was thorough, answered my questions, and not only led me through what he found, but what it would mean in the long term. In several cases, he led me through what certain elements of the construction were, and told me some common mistakes made by new home owners in maintenance. Simply put, Robert is responsible for dramatically lowering my blood pressure during the stressful process of the purchase.

Robert came out to provide an inspection for TWO older houses (built in 1970s) that we were looking at purchasing. Not only was he professional and very personable while providing descriptions of the main items in his report, he was so incredibly thorough and honest with his inspection. We ended up not going through with the first house and when it came time to get another inspection, there was no question that we would call Robert again. We hands down recommend Robert and Good Guys to all of our family and friends and will use him for any future inspections that we need.

Robert did a very thorough inspection of our new home.  He found those items that I would never gave thought to look for. He took the time to explain what he was looking at and how things worked. Rarely will I take the time to express any experience with any service provider, however, this organization went out of their way to ensure we got what we paid for. Given the craziness of the housing market recently, we used this company three times over the summer for home inspection. As a home buyer, our priority was to trust the company performing a home inspection and further more, take the time to walk me through their findings. Robert greeted us at the door at the agreed time after each lengthy inspection and pointed out the good the bad and the ugly. He also followed up with a complete written report and with pointers on new home buying preventative maintenance ideas in addition to safety measures for piece of mind. My wife and I really appreciated the professionalism and expertise Robert at The Good Guys demonstrated.

Being first time home buyers, we had no idea of the home inspection process. I contacted Good Guys Home Inspections on a Tuesday to inquire as to how long after an offer was accepted it would take to schedule an inspection. Robert called me back in less than half an hour and explained the entire process to me. Our offer was accepted the following day, after which I called Robert again. He even remembered me from the previous day, which added a nice personal touch to the experience. He was able to schedule an inspection first thing that Friday morning. Being military, we are located outside the state in which we planned to purchase the home. Robert coordinated everything with our realtor, made notes of the areas in the home about which I had the most concern, and arrived prompttly at the scheduled inspectiontime. When he finished the inspection, he phoned me, and took the time to explain the most important findings with me as well as to answer any questions I had. His report was emailed to me in under 12 hours. He even followed up with a text to insure I'd received the documents. His report was well organized and very easy to read and understand. Robert did not make me feel like I was bothering him with my questions; in fact, he encouraged me to contact him if I had any further questions or concerns after reading the report. His attitude with me was professional yet sociable. Good Guys Home Inspections offers a termite/pest inspection which is not standard with all home inspections. They also offer military discounts. Overall, thanks to Robert, my first home inspection experience was expedient and painless. I would definitely use Good Guys Home Inspections for my next home inspection.

I received a call back to schedule an appointment within an hour of leaving a message. All of my texts and calls were responded to promptly and professionally. He listened to our concerns and explained what was included in the inspection before we booked the appointment. Because an inspection had been done on the property in June, he offered to perform a walkthrough to save us money, but we opted to have him redo the entire inspection and he was very thorough. We had to reschedule the last part of the inspection regarding the gas powered appliances because of a mix up with the listing agent and Robert was understanding and accommodating, taking time out of his schedule with only a couple of hours notice, to make a second trip to the house. He was very up front about the gravity of the problems he found and assuaged our fears about the code violations that he found, explaining the differences in code requirements over the years and what we should be concerned about. We will definitely use Good Guys again and recommend them to our friends and family.

Inspected all aspects, walls, ceilings, plumbing, sealant on mounting outside, hot water heater and air conditioner install, garbage disposal under the sink, etc. I certainly will call him if I have questions about a feature.

I wanted a pre-sale inspection of my home to ensure there would be no surprises once I put it on the market. I contact Good Guys based on their Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed. John called me within hours of sending them an email through their web site and we made an appointment that fit my schedule. He showed up on time, explained what he would do and how he would do it, and got right to work. I tagged along and he explained what he was looking for each step of the way. He was very patient and taught me more about the house in the four hours he was there than I knew from living there over 10 years. Fortunately, there were no major issues but John gave me some great tips and advice on what should be fixed, addressed, modified, and corrected before I put the house up for sale. More importantly, he offered to come back at no additional charge and re-inspect any areas I fixed to ensure the work was done properly and to code. I received his professional report with full color pictures the next day.

We hired Good Guys Home Inspection at the recommendation of our Realtor. We were buying a house (while living in another state) and John agreed to come inspect the house on the only weekend I was in town. He is a former Air Force jet aircraft mechanic and his attention to detail and process were impeccable.

He allowed me to tag along during the inspection, all along the way pointing out issues and suggesting fixes as we went. He was extremely thorough and very reasonably priced. As we went through the house he took down all of the serial numbers the appliances to run them against a recall database for me. He sent me my completed home inspection report that evening, complete with color pictures and a detailed description of the deficiencies. At the end of the inspection he also offered to come back out to check on any repairs that we ended up negotiating on with the sellers at no additional charge.

We needed a home inspection on a home we were considering buying. John was very flexible arranging a time with the realtor involved and working around the current renters. He took time with us explaining the issues and when and how to do the repairs ourselves. I would highly recommend Good Guys.
