I like that they charge one flat fee no matter what issues they find vs. bigger companies give you a starting rate and list 10 things that they might find and where the fees "start" for each of them. Base rate is lower at big companies but who knows what they'll find and I'm pretty sure it would end up being a lot more than the all-in cost of Gillit's. And Gillit's has been around for a very long time so equally as knowledgeable and reliable. Had a great experience.

I gave a B rather than an A but had there been +/- options, I'd have graded B+ as a tough grader and A- as a nicer one. If I had similar work today, I would hire the same company because I expect they are better than I would get trying another.



Everyone was professional and courteous. There was a slight disconnect between my understanding of the estimate and the work that was actually done. I thought the mold would be "better cleaned" everywhere I could see it; though I do believe it was adequately "treated". Also they would have left without cleaning one of the intake vents had I not pointed it out. Our air conditioner is in a corner closet and takes air in from 3 sides (2 of which were behind furniture and 1 of which they didn't notice.).



On the positive side, there was one vent/register that was partially blocked by a decorative wood beam. I was impressed that the men doing the work, offered to saw a little off that part of the beam, to permit removing the register and cleaning the vent. I appreciated that they thought of a solution and did not charge extra even though I would have considered it reasonable to do so.



I should stress again that everyone was professional and courteous. If it wasn't 100% what I expected, I expect it was better than most would do and it was a pleasure interacting with the three people I met from the company.

It went very well.  They explained everything they were doing and why we had the problem in the first place and what to do in the future to prevent the occurrence of mold.
We were running the air-conditioner fan in the ON position to keep the temperature more even through all the rooms.  This promotes more humidity during the OFF cycle of the air-conditioner compressor.  They advised keeping the fan in the AUTO position.  We have not had any reoccurrence of mold for one year since they completed the cleaning.

Gabe & Raul from Gillit's showed up right on time.  When Gabe checked my indoor unit, he said "Yup, it needs cleaning but I've seen worse", without any drama nor warnings of me dying.
Gillit's opened & cleaned each of my 18 vents, removed vent covers then took them outside for a complete washing in a special solution.  Indoor unit was disassembled & blower removed and thoroughly cleaned.  Unit's old coils were then very carefully cleaned up as well. Complete job took about 4 hours & invoice was exact amount Keith had originally quoted me, end of story
I can now feel the difference in how my AC runs and air throughout house seems so much fresher. Nice !

I was so impressed.  I needed our air ducts cleaned due to the previous owner having cats and my son being diagnosed with a high cat allergy.  I had two previous bids, one for $1100 and another for $1954.  We have a 2900 sqft house with 2 units and 32 registers.  I felt like I was getting very high bids from companies that also performed other services so I called Gillit's because all they do is air duct cleaning.  The owner answered the phone and explained their service in detail.  He said it would be 750.  I couldn't believe how reasonable.  He mentioned it might go up a bit or down a bit depending on how difficult it would be to get to the units but it would be close to 750.  They also give military discounts and since my husband is a retired Col we took advantage of that as well.  They showed up right on time.  The owner came as well.  The team that did the work were two brothers and were just as professional and sweet as could be.  Gillit's restored my faith in service providers.  It's nice to know someone out there still understands how to be professional and friendly.  Thank you!!!

They were very good. They were thorough. They used an extra long vaccum hose. They went from one end of the duct to the other. They told us what we thought was mold was not; it was just a collection. The duct work had a leak and they repaired it. They took all the covers off of the duct. They told us our ducts weren't too bad. They cleaned the air returns.
