One tree was completely removed and debris was removed. The stump was not removed. The second tree was partially removed and most of the debris removed. But the stump that remains is about 3 feet high. Mr. Garcia asked that I pay him before the work was complete and stated that as a Christian man he would return the following Saturday to complete the work. I agreed (which was my mistake) and I have not heard from him in a week and a half. He will not return my phone calls. Not only is the tree stump still needing to be cut down, but part of,the debris remains. Mr. Garcia did not tell me I needed a permit from Castle Hills for this work to be done. Perhaps that was my responsibility, but I would expect a "bonded and insured" tree service to provide that kind of information. I would not recommend this service.

Initially, I just called for an estimate(free) to removed part of a tree damaged when somebody's car ran off the road into it. Even though I'm out in the country a way, the estimate was gratis. Meanwhile, I realized there was many years' of other stuff to be done on all the big ol' trees out front. The rep. arrived at the appointed day/time and gave an estimate and set a day for the work. Bottom line: GREAT JOB!! I actually wrote my check for a bit more (plus tips, much deserved!). OMG, 3 guys and they worked for nearly 5 hrs! And no net! Did extra like cutting an old stump to the ground and removing my little piles of brush. The estimate was $450, and the separate $200 for the insurance work. So glad I took this chance on a business I just found in yellow pages and, of course, on Angie's list! (NOTE: they are and quot;GARCIAand quot; NOT and quot;GARCIA'Sand quot; !)

I think they were pricey. He charged me $250 to $300 to put some fertilizer around the tree. He poked some holes in the ground and poured something in. Since then I have been doing some research and found that I can do it myself for $30. I don't mind people making a profit but that is ridiculous. They were good but I would not use them again because of the price. As the tree is dormant in the winter, I won't know if the treatment was a success or not until the spring. They were professional and on time.

I was walking in my neighborhood with a friend when Rudy Garcia approached me and handed me his flyer. He asked if I needed to have any of my oak trees trimmed and that he would give me a free estimate. I made an appointment with him and later that day he came to my home. Rudy looked my oak trees over and gave me an estimate for trimming my 12 oak trees. We made an agreement and he and his employees came by the next day. He introduced his 3 workers to me who were very polite. They worked very fast and finished the job in about 3 hours. They hauled the debris away and swept clean the areas. I have some jasmine ivy growing underneath one of the trees by my driveway and his men still managed to trim the tree without damaging any of my ivy.

Once the job was completed, one of the men came to my door and asked if I would accompany him to look at the trees. If there was anything else that was needed to be done on a tree, they would do it. I noticed a branch that I wanted to be alittle more trimmed and they happily did it, and a moss ball that I saw that needed to be removed. I asked questions and he didn't hesitate to answer any of them.

What I also liked about Rudy is that he has a Tree Maintenance License issued by the City of San Antonio, Lic. #TL-919445, Exp: 08/17/2013 with his picture on it. Also, Rudy showed me his worker's insurance policy that he has to cover all of his employees if anyone gets hurt while working on my property.
