I have been a Texas Realtor® since 2008. Between that and being a homeowner as well as owning an investment property, I have had my share of interactions with many contractors. Sadly, more often than not, the "best" contractor you can find is only the "best" because they at least show up at some point and maybe take 50% of your calls. I can say that Galen Valadez and his crew at GR Valadez Construction are a cut way above the rest. I used them six months ago on a bathroom remodel in Seguin TX. My elderly father was at risk of falling when stepping in and out of his tub and desperately needed a step-in shower. Galen answered my phone call on the second ring. He showed up on time with his crew to access this project within 24 hours of that call, gave us a written quote immediately, and put us on the schedule. His crew showed up on time everyday, were very professional, and super courteous, which my 87 year old father and 83 year old mother just loved. GR Valadez Construction definitely under-promised and over-performed. Not only did they finish the job ahead of schedule, they also came in UNDER budget! I can say with the utmost honesty and sincerity that I have found possibly the most honest and dependable general contractor in Great State of Texas. Shop around if you must, but if you do not give GR Valadez Construction a crack at bat, you are making a huge mistake. You won't find an outfit that takes greater pride in their work!

He's exceptional.

He did three renovations. One was personal and two were for friends. I recommend him. He's very consistent and good.

We hired Galen to remove a shower, garden tub & tile floor, raise bath cabinet height, install marble counter top & sinks, build new tile shower, & install new tile floor, plus install new plumbing fixtures, over counter lights, mirrors, & towel bars. The project turned out great! Galen & his workman showed up at the time we were told, were very respectful of our home, were very conscious of minimizing the dust during demolition, & were professional & worked expeditiously. Galen also offered design suggestions prior to starting the work. My wife & I are totally pleased with the finished product & would highly recommend Galen. We will certainly hire him again if we have another remodel project.

Not only did Galen act as the general contractor on this job, he also was a design consultant, making several suggestions for improvements. The job was done in a professional manner and was completed in a shorter time frame than was estimated. If I have another job to be done, Galen will definitely be the one I call.

Galen's crew professionally built a 10 x 20 solid foundation. On top of that an enclosed screened patio with two wet rated Hunter fans and on top of that a second floor balcony with balusters and on my second floor rear wall, French doors that open outwards to enjoy the beautifully white painted with decorative custom dentil molding rear view addition. I am excitedly and delightedly happy. The rear view of Galen's completed attached project, now, as I've noticed, has even slowed the very uncooperative 35 mph traffic that over looks the rear of my home as passing cars admire Galen's work. Thank you greatly for the Contractor referral. I made a worthy friend in Galen. Their work project is a life changing event for me, my family, and neighborhood; and also, my quality of life has greatly enhanced..

We had Galen install granite countertops and backsplash, new back door, can lights to replace in-ceiling fixture, and put a vent hood in front of a window. All of this was done in six days of work. He was able to start ahead of schedule and finished within his estimation of time needed. Our new appliances were delivered and installed by his great crew, also. He was immediately responsive to a small problem we found, Galen and his great crew were fast, efficient, and very enjoyable to work with. We would highly recommend him to anyone who wants quality work.

We were very please with the work that this contractor did for us, always on time, great crews for each portion of the project, all was done in a timely manner. Cabinets were custom made, and we have received so many compliments I would definitely recommend and reuse if I plan to do any other remodeling in the future.

They fix from the roof to the floors, all those stories you hear about the contractors DO NOT APPLY HERE, Valadez Construction give me complete peace of mind. His ideas of improvements are awesome and practical. His crew is helpful and professional.They did my whole house, roofing, floors, bathrooms, plumbing, kitchen, painting add deck, in time promised, within budget, lower than other ones.

Galen & his crew converted our two car garage into a classroom and and installed a rain catching/storage system off of that building. Additionally they built us a new three car garage & breeze way. Both the conversion & new build have awesome shelves/storage closets. They also built & installed a fabulous entertainment center in our existing living room. Could not ask for more of a customer oriented, professional, attention to detail, all around beautiful job!! Galen & his crew exceeded our expectations, we will never use anyone else!

We have Galen do all our work at our three properties. Any job we have asked him to do has been done professionally and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Galen for any job large or small. He built our new cabana, has redone my daughter's bedroom and fixed our lake house after it was flooded.
