The plumber and his helper were very polite and professional (Albert and Chris). They didn't mind me watching over their shoulder, but I tired to give them their space. They answered every question I had -- even questions about additional work that I told them I was doing myself. Now that is what I like! -- not in job protection mode, but wanting to help anyway they can. They were more than willing to make adjustments to the work they did at my request. At first I thought the price was a little high (but on par with other plumbers I contacted). After them spending extra time to make sure it was right (there were a couple of minor unexpected kinks) and answering all my questions and not charging any extra from the original estimate, I got a good value!
The hose to our kitchen faucet got a crack in it and started leaking. The faucet is about 12-13 years old and I could not find that the manufacturer was even making this specific type of faucet any longer, so I figured the hose may be difficult to replace. Lowes & Home Depot no longer carried the part but Five Star was able to locate a 'universal' hose to this faucet. I think the price was fair and reasonable. We have used them in the past and will continue to do so. I am having them provide a bid to clear my french drains next.
The plumber called 15 minutes prior to arrival at the scheduled time.
He provided an outline of work he would perform and provided a quote for the work.
Completed the job in a professional manner for the cost quoted.
Sent me an invoice via e-mail.
Followed up with a phone call to ensure we received good service.
