However, the results were not as promised or as contained in marketing materials provided by Sande Brown.  There was calcium left in the water that showed up as spots on dishes, plumbing fixtures, and shower walls, etc. There was calcium build-up in the hot water heater. Each time I spoke with Sande Brown or one of his representatives, I requested that the system be removed and a standard ion exchange water softener system be installed. Throughout my ownership I kept up the proper filter change requirements to keep the system as viable as possible. The owner, Sande Brown, had promised that if we were not completely satisfied with the Aqua 2000+ he would replace it with an ion exchange water system. He refused to replace the system that his company had installed.  I continued to tell Sande Brown that I wanted the system removed and replaced. Sande Brown continued to evade the problems with his system and continued to "justify" the shortcomings and inadequacies of the system. We removed the system and replaced it with a water softener at our own expense on January 31, 2011.  We have since reviewed the company's record with the Better Business Bureau and have discovered that he has an "F" rating . Additionally, the Texas State Attorney General's Office has records indicating deceptive practices. In researching water softeners over the internet, through phone calls to local water softener businesses, and even distributors in other states, we discovered that Sande Brown had a less than acceptable reputation and that he is well known among the water softener business community. I do not recommend Environmental Water Technology or Sande Brown for any services of any type.
