EMPIRE CARPET

The initial estimate was great. The sales guy was knowledgeable, friendly. He listened to our wants and made suggestions based on those. He got us a discount from his boss when we said we would pay cash. He let us schedule out more than a month so we could have time to get some rooms painted. We were sold on their product and customer service. Price was about the same as other competitors. The installation was not so great. The team did not speak English or at least didn't try to communicate with us. They left our new carpet in the middle of the street, making it a hazard to our neighbors who were driving. They only moved it when we told them to get it out of the street. They treated our furniture with less than respect when moving it and didn't put our Sleep Number bed back together properly. They left our front yard a mess. We just really felt like they had no concern for us as customers. The product and installation itself was quality. The carpet is soft and stain resistant as promised. The installation was good work - no visible seams, no tacks can be felt. It looks great. We did follow back up with our sales rep regarding the installation crews negatives. He referred us to his manager who did contact us. He apologized and assured us that they would do spot checks on that team in the near future. Regarding our bed he said that Sleep Number beds are not even supposed to be handled by the crew and he made sure that the sales rep and the crew would be notified of that fact. He also offered us a small refund for our negative experience.
