Laura was wonderful, she came to meet my cats a few weeks before I was travelling. During our initial interview she had lots of questions and thoroughly covered all the bits and pieces of what would be needed for her to take care of my pets. She was very and quot;cat awareand quot; and knew to let the cats lead the way in how much attention they wanted. During the 2 weeks I was away she sent me daily text updates along with some pictures. Anytime the cats or my apartment complex came up with an out-of-the-ordinary issue she contacted me with questions on how I wanted her to handle the situation. She also moved my truck from one parking space to another every few days and retrieved my mail from my mailbox and turned on different lights in the apartment. On the couple of days that Laura could not make it she had her partner Jill fill in for her and let me know when this would happen. I felt very comfortable and confident leaving my very special kitties with Laura and Jill. When I got home the cats were very happy and healthy and I had an informational daily diary of the visits to the cats from Laura. I will definately get in touch with Laura the next time I need to go out of town.

Laura provided house sitting services for our two cats. She took the time to get to know the cats prior to our trip and clearly explained her services and contract.
While we were on our trip Laura took the time to give us updates on the cats via text messages as we agreed.
At no time were we concerned about the care of our pets.
Laura is exceptional and provided top quality, compassionate care for our pets. She kept a daily log concerning our pets and we were able to understand how our pets were doing during our trip. Our pets were very happy with her. Laura has many years of experience with pets and really understands both the pet and owners needs. She is super and we will definitely ask Laura to care for our pets whenever we need someone to look after our pets. We highly recommend her.

I went on vacation during the Memorial Day Holiday for a week. This is the second time that I have used Laura and I think she is wonderful! I e-mailed her ahead of time to let her know my departure date and she confirmed the days she would be coming over. Like clockwork she will e-mail me with an update - and usually a picture - of my cats and what they were doing while she was there. Plus she is very diligent about checking out the house and reporting if there are any issues. I had ant problem and she moved the food out of harm's way.

Laura is probably more conscientious about taking care of my dogs than I am myself! She is completely count-on-able, and has a deep knowledge of and caring for animals. She genuinely loves my dogs, and they love her. She has handled medical emergencies while I was away with complete competence, and in a manner with which I was pleased. When I have to be away from home, my dogs' lives are only minimally disrupted because Laura is taking care of them and keeping to their regular routine and surroundings, rather than me having to board them at a kennel or vet. They are happier, safer, not exposed to diseases, and not stressed. I also spend less than I would boarding them away from home. I recommend Elle Jay's of San Antonio without reservation.

We hired Laura to take care of our two dogs and a cat while we were on a week long cruise. First impressions were impressive. She scheduled a meeting before we left to meet with the animals and learn their routine and all their quarks, as well as the owners quarks (what lights do we turn on, what blinds we open and close on a daily basis, when are the trash days, etc... She has tons of experience and you can tell. Her questionnaire is long and thorough and leaves nothing to chance. During the cruise she kept us updated with the doggies and cats statuses, sending text every time she visited (twice a day). She would also send pictures, some of which are the best pictures we have of our animals. The price I feel was very reasonable. She charges per visit, regardless of how many animals we had. I have no idea how much a week long boarding would have cost for three animals, but if was any cheaper it would have been extremely stressful for our animals, and the extra piece of mind having Laura watch them (as well as the house) was worth every penny. To conclude on this review, I would be very happy to recommend Elle Jays and Laura to anyone who loves their pets. She is great and will give you piece of mindwhile youre enjoying yourself on vacation. Which is worth every penny.

I hired Laura to look after my two cats while I was out of town during the holidays. She conducted an interview a few weeks before in order to meet me, see the house, and meet the and quot;children.and quot; She was very thorough and professional and I felt very secure knowing she would be looking after my animals and my house.

While I was gone she sent me regular text messages on both cats as well as the house. She sent pictures of each of them which was very thoughtful. She even dropped in a couple of times on her own because she was in the area!

I would highly recommend their services to everyone!

We were going out of town for five days on short notice and needed to secure care for our two cats. I looked on Angie's List and found Elle Jay's and decided to give them a shot. When I contacted Laura, she immediately responded to me and agreed to meet at my home later in the same day for a consultation and to meet the cats. Laura was a total pro, asked all the right questions (and some I hadn't thought of), and truly did a great job taking care of our cats while were away. She left us a nice daily diary of how the cats were doing while we were away, which is a nice treat to come home to. Also, since we are new in town and do not yet have a veterinarian, she did some research on good vets in our area and sent over some recommendations. Outstanding! I would not hesitate to contact her again next time we'll be out of town!

Laura kept wonderful care of my cats during my many trips back and forth to Corpus. She even helped me round up my cats and get them loaded in carriers for the final trip to our new home. One of my cats bit both Laura and me pretty badly but Laura did not blame either the cat or me for the mishap. One of the things I hated the most about leaving San Antonio was having to lose Laura as a pet sitter. She's the BEST!!!!!

Laura has been taking care of our two cats, Sampson and Delilah, for several years now, and she and her daughter Lauren are simply first rate. We have had many cat sitters over the years, and Elle Jay's is clearly one of the best we ever had. Not only are they completely trustworthy, competent, and professional, but our cats absolutely love them (we fear, more than us!). It certainly reduces the guilt of taking trips.

Laura has been taking care of my dogs for several years now. She is incredibly dependable, responsible, and loving towards my animals. She is very experienced in health issues and knows what to watch out for. Laura has caught issues in the making on more than one occassion, which allowed me to make pre-emptive vet visits. Laura does a fantastic job taking care of my dogs while I am out of town - including administering any meds needed, following special feeding instructions, and spending quality time with them - rather than just making a quick stop to feed and let out. On an emergency basis, she has even taken my dogs to the vet as needed - day or night. Laura follows special instructions as requested regarding leaving the dogs in or outside depending on weather conditions. She is also a visible presence in the house when I am away - bringing in mail and packages, bringing in trash cans, letting the landscaping crew in to mow the back yard, and just anything that may come up that needs attention. She also calls me and lets me know if there are any issues, and asks for further instructions and makes recommendations. It gives me great peace of mind to know that Laura is there when I am away. Seeing my dogs with Laura - when she visits when I'm home - makes it obvious to me how much devotion she has shown them over the years, because they love and trust her completely. She clearly spends quality time with them when they are in her care. It's such a relief to not have to board my dogs in a kennel when I am away. I come home to find them peaceful, calm and happy - as opposed to hoarse, nervous and exhausted, as well as possibly sick, from time spent in a kennel. On top of that, because I have 4 dogs, I pay Laura about 50% less than what it would cost for me to board them at a vet's office. Using Elle Jay's of San Antonio gives me the perfect solution when I need a care-taker for my animals - top-notch intelligent service, cost savings, and the very best care for my precious babies.

We have used Elle Jay's for daytime visits, as well as for when we are out of town. We have never experienced any problems with her pet care. Laura goes above and beyond her duties to make sure everything concerning the pets is taken care of. I will be using her services in the future and highly recommend her pet sitting services. When I started a new job in Houston, I was at a loss of what to do with my pets. I wasn't interested in moving from San Antonio, so I tried putting the dogs in a kennel, having friends stop by, etc. Nothing really worked well. And I was constantly worried about them. However, in January 2009, a friend of mine who had used Laura in the past gave me her number. And one of the biggest stressors of my current lifestyle got relieved. Laura is superb. I cannot express how much stress she alleviated when she began caring for my "kids". I work in Houston and commute from San Antonio, and just knowing that she would be at the house twice a day (or more, if necessary) relieved my mind. I knew the house would be looked after, but more importantly, I knew my pets were safe and loved. If you ever need someone to care for your pets, I recommend Laura. My dogs and cat are happy and healthy, and not stressed from having to go to a kennel. Laura's the best!!

I was impressed with the fact that she wanted my travel times and expected me to call to let her know that we had returned safely (even though it was in the middle of the night) so that she would know our Babies were cared for and that she did not need to continue to come at our requested times.

Laura came over the weekend before I was to leave town to pick up the key and meet my cat. She was very professional. She asked questions that I had not thought of including the usual ones like, vet's name and contacts. She left me a report on her and the cat's activities. She has answered a number of questions relating to my new buddy.
