I needed a water softener installed and old one removed. They were professional, got in and got out and I got what I was promised. Very satisfied.

They did an excellent job. Professional, polite and on time. Removed and hauled away old dishwasher. Perfect install of new dishwasher plus upgraded, easier to use shutoff valve. Will use again.

Be aware that Elbel Plumbing has now raised their price to $149/hr for one worker. We used them numerous times starting out from our reconstruction contractor, and numerous times after the contractor was let go. they charged $120/hr for two workers numerous times when they came out for us, but this Monday, Feb. 5th, one worker came out and they charged $149/hr. When I called the supervisor he said "Oh we do not charge for the helper". So they have increased their hourly bill by just under 25% and can send out one worker to double the number of hours to charge.

"Howdy Mr. [Member Name Removed], I haven't been following reviews on the various online forums, I usually get a phone call when it comes to a problem. I'm very sorry this happened to you like it did and I wish I had known about it when it happened. The rate you were charged is inaccurate, we had recently gone through a rate change so my staff was getting used to the new rate and obviously made a mistake. A few things to clarify, my business has never charged for the apprentice, our rate has always been for the plumber only. It often works in the favor of my clients to have an apprenticeship heart and train (at my expense) the next generation of plumbers. I could send apprentices out only as needed, however, i don't believe that promotes the culture or the learning that is necessary to become an outstanding plumber. Therefor, most of the time, there are two guys on a truck even for a simple toilet rebuild or faucet repair where only one person is required. Another thing to note is that the apprentice is a supporting role to the plumber, fetching and learning, lightening the load so that the plumber has the bandwidth to teach(which takes time)...In no way does having an apprentice equal having two plumbers on the job. In some cases the job takes longer with the plumber having to teach the apprentice and talk through various processes, in some cases having the extra help speeds things up, its back and forth and very difficult to accurately analyze given the countless plumbing scenarios as well as customer interaction dynamics. In cases where the apprentice is becoming more advanced, the plumber will take the supporting role and let the apprentice take the lead coaching all the while. No system is perfect, but, golly, we sure strive for it. Again, my apologies for the goof up on our part. You will be receiving a refund check for the overcharge honoring the old rate that you were accustomed to at the time. They were great and very honest. They just didn't recommend fixing our washer and they said to fix it would cost a lot of money and they couldn't guarantee that something else wouldn't break. They were very professional.

Everything works fine now. They also suggested we might want to get the city to come out and look with a camera in the sewer pipe out to the alley as the pipes tend to move and crack and break in this area, eventually causing blockage. They said they could do it but the city would do it without charge and it'd be good to know if there was a small area or large area that could cause future trouble. I appreciated their honesty and suggestiion. We have used them before and would certainly use them again.

Completed work in about 3.5 hours. My insurance paid for 2 hours of labor so price was almost 200 more than stated here. They helped me with a problem that I had with my shower head but did not charge me anything additional. Very professional and answered all of my questions of which I had many. Would use them again.

Patrick Elbel, and his associate, Charles, arrived on time, performed the work in minimal time, and also helped move a refrigerator into place, and hook-up the water supply (the latter of which was not part of the original bid). They were very informative, professional, and courteous. They did a fantastic job, and we couldn't be happier.

Patrick was quick to return a my phone call when I scheduled the service. He offered more than one option for scheduling the service and repairs. Bill arrived on time and quickly got to work the next day. He took care to tarp the work area and protect our belongings. He was very courteous and polite. He did an excellent job with the repairs and cleaned up all the mess. The price of the repair was very reasonable. I would highly recommend their service to anyone.
